    Default Messages from home

    Dear Avalonians

Having just lost someone who was incredibly close to me, I have been hoping for a sign/message, really just to know that they are o.k.

Well this morning I had a wonderful sign!

I am so happy and it was a clear sign that they were with me and seemed to be happy. In fact their wonderful sence of humour came through!

It has helped me a great deal.

I was wondering whether any of you lovely Avalonians have ever had a sign/message from a loved one who was close to you and has gone Home and what the sign/message was.

I would love to hear about your experiences, if you are able to 'talk' about it.

I ONLY want to hear about positive experiences please

    LOVE to you all!

Not with people, but yes with pets. My wife lost her dog of 18yrs and a cat of 17 years.

These were extraordinary animals, and they have both paid visits to let her know they are ok.

The cat even came back once with a long dead friend of hers, he was holding it in his arms.

I have felt him (the cat) jump on the bed. So the cheeky sod even followed me to Australia, even though he passed in the UK.

Made me a bit sad to write this, but its all good.

The stuff we put ourselves through eh?

Well, I had a "dream" a couple of months ago that I was approached by a woman in some non-distinct place, other than that the light was very dim, almost like a candlelight supper. I knew she looked familiar, but couldn't make out her face until she came to a stop right in front of me. She was my grandmother, who had succomed to cancer back in the mid 90's while I was in the navy and out to sea for 6 months, so I never had the chance to see her in her final days, or go to her funeral. Gram was just simply gone when I got back for some leave time.

Anyway, the gram I was face to face with now was a beautiful young woman, maybe 35 years old, and just beaming with love. We embraced in a hug, then she held me out at arm's length, told me psychically "just LOOK at how well you're doing!" With that, she gave me the biggest kiss on the cheek you can imagine, and it was over.

    Cheers,
    Fred

I have lost too many family and friends over the last few years but the one person i miss most and who is always in my thoughts is my Mum. I was in a dark place after my Mum went home and could not see a way out and then one night i had a very clear dream
where it felt like i was lookin into a tunnel and at the end of the tunnel i could see my mum surrounded by a very bright light. My Mum looked 30 years younger and she looked so happy which gave me so much comfort as she had died from cancer and was really bad at the end

I have not had a dream like that since but it started me on my journey to find out what is really going on and where we may be heading and it also made me want to be a better person so i know it was more then just a dream. Im still searching for the truth and answers to a lot of questions
but i know if it was not for that dream i would still be in that dark place.

My mom went home in September 2005 after a very long illness. My daughter, who has a gift of dreams, was the first she visited, a couple of days after she died. She was laughing, a good laugh, which was our favorite past time. A couple of days later, I had a very vivid dream of her. She was with my aunt and grandmother (both gone home too) and they were laughing their head off, you know the laugh that gives you a belly ache! I then knew mom was fine. I’ve had many other dreams in the months that followed and she was always laughing.

When my dad died in 2008 (not my biological dad) it was a while before I heard anything from him. Dad was not a very nice man and his death was as he lived. I prayed for a sign. In a dream, my mom came and brought me to see him. We walked long corridors to get there. When I saw him I gave him a big hug and he was very happy to see me. Then I went to hug my mom, who was wearing a very bright white dress, and she told me I could not touch her in that place, which I thought was pretty weird. I woke up knowing dad was ok, and puzzled at what mom had said.

Now, I dream often of my mother and dad. When I do, they are just around doing their thing.

I volunteer in a palliative care home every weekend. My time there is mostly in the mornings. I help with the care of the physical body – bathing, getting dressed, feeding, etc. Sometimes, the person wants to talk, so I listen. We respect their needs. My every move there is a prayer, even if it is to bring a cup of coffee, or changing a diaper. Some people stay at the home for a long period (three months maybe a bit more) so I get to know them a bit; even if not many words are exchanged… bathing is very intimate. I could tell you many stories, but I’ll stick to one. A lady had a stay of little more than two months at the home. When she arrived she was still walking and doing her stuff. I’ve seen her capacities diminish every week. The last time I saw her, she was in a semi-coma. I gave her a bed bath. We had grown to love each other a lot. One sunny afternoon of June, I was sitting at the table of my balcony reading and writing. All of a sudden, a gentle wind picked up and I felt it swirl around me gently. It sent shivers down my body from head to toes. She came in my mind and I knew she had passed, and I was very happy for her. This was confirmed to me a couple of days later when I returned to the home.

I lost my Mum this year and she was and will always be the absolute LOVE of my life.

I have been told that when people go home they appear around the age of 30 and in seeing the responses here, that seems to be the case.

I feel your pain and your joy in seeing your Mum - it is good to know that she is happy and I'm glad you got comfort from your contact with her.

Bless you and Much LOVE to you x

Funny you asked, or maybe not. But this week my wife lost her Great Aunt, I had only met her once, on our honeymoon we spent some time with her in her little New England town Population of probably 15? :-)

Anyway I was always struck by her, the moment I met her I knew she was pure of heart, one of those souls that was beautiful to the core. We thought of her often, she always sent hand knitted mittens for the kids every Christmas!

Well she passed, and for the first time in my life I was NOT sad at her passing, it was almost as if I was thankful for getting to share in her life, I tried to relate it to my wife; I saw on the news the other day a giant redwood tree had fallen, it was so magnificent, and I wasn't sad for it falling just in awe of its beauty and thankful for it just being!

So on to the sign, I don't know if it is, but that night I was making some leek and potato soup, I grabbed a potato and it was the most perfect heart shape, so I laughed to myself and took it as a sign from her. Cheesy I know, but the lord works in mysterious ways right?

I also thought it interesting that as I was feeling not loss, but thankfulness for her being I thought of my fellow Avalonians, and wondered if maybe all you folks were rubbing off on me? ;-)

Hello Star1111...Wonderful thread, beautiful sharing! The veils are getting even thinner now.

My 21 year old Son passed on in 2003...it was so hard for me to believe and accept and handle at the time.

His voice was with me for 2 days on a hill in MA in 2007...I have shared many snippets of that spiritual happening and awakening on this very special hill of the Native American Nipmuc.

Danny's Spirit has been with me and empowering me to this very day.

We are coming upon the most beautiful changes on mother earth...unimaginable...through our actions and the higher help of our loved ones that have passed on and from the higher extensions of ourselves and more : ).

Thank You for this moment : )
