i have studied a lot of the early history of Israel, & can understand why Israel is kind of nervous about aggressive neighbors -- you can't learn about early Israeli history w/o learning about the Holocaust, & the entire world's indifference to that -- turning away the 'coffin ships,' for instance, & the ignoring of the early stories about the camps from escapees -- then there is the Brits allowing Israels' neighbors to have weapons, but not the Jews/Israelis --

may there be peace on Earth, especially in Israel & all the countries around her

I am quite confident that the "Facts" you learned will be changed and colored differently. Please do not get discouraged. It is another view on life that is as valid as any other.
What is most important is to make your active choice on the view point from more then one alternative.

I hate to be cynical, but if the associated press took those photos, I wouldn't put much stock in them. For all we know, those masked bogeymen slash "terrorists" could easily be Mossad agents in Arab drag. How many times has the associated press given us fake photos/news? Who owns AP? Ever hear of Adam Gadahn? How about Tim Osman?

And who are the real terrorists in the region? Once you read the history of modern Israel, from Rothschild funding of the Zionist movement, to the Balfour Declaration, to the assassination of Folke Bernadotte, to the Irgun and Stern death squads (from which several Israeli leaders, most notably, Yitzhak Shamir and Moshe Dayan, jumped to positions at the top of Israeli's political helm), to the King David Hotel false flag event, to the USS Liberty attack, to the Lavon affair, to major involvement in the 9/11/2001 attacks, etc. ... The extremists all belong to the same camp, Pathwalker. Sure they play different roles in the camp, and some may not even realize they're playing a role. Compartmentalization ensures that. Some play Hamas guerillas; others play IDF bootsoldiers, yet others play Palestinian Authority potentates; then you have your Likud potentates, your Labor potentates, your pinheaded ADL potentates and your pointheaded AIPAC potentates, etc. etc. etc.

My basic approach is this: if it looks like a duck, smells like a duck, walks like a duck, and goes "Quack! Quack! Moooo! Quack!" ... then a cow may enter my mind for a fractured second ... but then, I'm turning on the spotlight, point my finger at the lighted party, and in my most stentorian voice, exclaim, "Sir, you are a duck!"

All involved are/were pessimistic, and there is no real catalyst for change. YET.

Sometimes it is useful to notice what is off focus to learn about what is in focus.

These war winds are part of the psychological warfare. Nothing really to consider.
The more important the traveling defense minister. Never before a defense minister traveled so much abroad in duty. To my humble opinion this powerful person is the top PTB agent for the Rockefeller/Zionist party. He was prime minister not long ago, and was able to get Israel out of Lebanon. Then get Israel into the 2nd uprising, after failing to push the Palestinians into the negotiation table.
He said that time (2000) that we now an have an opportunity to identify who is sincere in the peace quest. The saga of those failed peace talks is classic textbook PTB manipulation.

Never the less we are not victims. We are part of the game and we take a role. Once we stop playing our role the game will end, and TPTB will be exposed.

Therefore the set of mind should be OK, we see you, we understand, find your war game player somewhere else.

A handful of courageous Israeli women have started smuggling Palestinian families across checkpoints so that they see the ocean for the first time.
According to this inspiring story, a handful of Israeli women have been driving into the occupied West Bank and smuggling Palestinian women and children across the checkpoints so that they can enjoy day trips in Tel Aviv.

The women and children are taken to the beach for the day, where they can enjoy the sun, sea and sand. Seeing that Palestinians need a permit to cross the Green Line – which is very hard to come by – most of these women have never seen the ocean, despite living only a few miles from it.

The article quotes Riki, a 63 year-old Israeli working woman who says: "I was resistant to breaking the law. But then I realised that civil action is the only way to go forward, that breaking an illegal law becomes legal."

This is an example of how women on both sides try to bridge a cultural and political gap by defying unjust laws.

What can we, as SA women do, to bridge the various gaps between the multitudes of cultures here to help promote peace and understanding?

Women are the bearer of power (that is the reason for their oppression - while men are bearer of repressed emotion). The more serving to others women leaders we have the more empowered we are.

30 Years ago in the 80ies there was a law in Israel banning contact with the PLO. Abby Nattan (recently died) was prisonned twice for initiating public dialog. Then there was the Oslo accord (also an outlaw action of the time) and they had to silently retroactively change the law.

So renegade outlaw political action is many time the bearers of the change. I am very optimistic about this.
