I've had an interesting past few days. It's been awhile since I've seen something that I can't identify as a airplane or helicopter. (or blimp. lol)
Wednesday has me wondering what exactly I saw.
It appeared as a meteor shower. Except there was never an annoucement from the weather station that we were to have a meteor shower that night.
I saw the first two fall down and to my left. I was facing due east. So they fell to the north.
Then I saw the next one fall UP and to my right.
Then two more down and to my left, and the last one UP and to my right.
Don't most meteor showers fall in basically the same direction from the sky?
They don't go in opposite directions do they?
I just thought that odd.
And then today. As I was driving on my way home about 1 block or a half mile from my house, and could see my house from the spot in the road I was at. (approximately 3 pm) I saw a bright light shine in my eyes. Like that of a mirror reflecting the sun into my eyes. (a big mirror)
I thought at first it was an airplane. But when I looked up, it had an odd shape to it. It looked very tall. Like that of a 3 or 4 story building. And I didn't see any wings on it. It seemed almost oval shaped. It appeared to be almost hanging over my house. (perhaps a bit north of my house) And low in the sky. (Much lower than most airliners fly.)
I hurried home to get a closer look. But lost view of it temporarily as I passed the neighbors house and his trees. When I got to a position to see into the sky again, It had disappeared into the clouds. (Rain clouds were building as we got a rain shower later that day)
