Here on the History channel. A mathematician did a program using the China prophetic I-Ching 'which dates back to the 1st China Dynasty, and it accurately predicted wars, rise of the USA, Fall and Rise of Rome..it ends at 2012.

If I'm not mistaken, all these "2012 apocalypse" predictions are based around the completion of the Mayan Long Form Calendar, which was calculated based on the astronomical cycle known as the 'procession of the equinoxes' (not the procession of the solstices).

As I understand it, the final phase in this current cycle of the procession of the equinoxes is actually calculated to complete itself on March 21 2013, not December 21 2012.

Am I speaking jibberish here... or what??

The Mayan calender. was not made by the Mayans , but by Kukulkhan, a red bearded man who came to them and brought knowledge. Some say he came via boats from Atlantis. I agree there is truth to that! Also on the same note we can't stick our heads in the sand and sing 'Kum By Ya' if events are pointing elsewhere. History tends to repeat. I think many past civilization were much more spiritually in tune then our current hyper-materialistic world. And if you read people like Graham Hancock, and others you will see that those highly advanced civilization were completely and utterly annihilated by some unforeseen cataclysm. They meet their spiritual height alright ..through death.
Do i think the world will end in 2012? No i dont..do i think something will happen on a cosmic scale..sure seems to be pointing that way.
Also even without 2012..look at the current state of mankind
We have 100s of nuke power plants..of which 4 or so have melted down in the past 50 years..Chernobyl, Fukashuma". Mankind is extracting oil on a unprecedented scale..causing pollution 'gulf of Mexico spill' and who knows what else this could trigger..all this oil is used for man material gains..cars, flights, vacations..the here and now..with no concern about the next generation. Their are currently 40 wars going on worldwide as I type this..(Africa, Iraq,Afghanistan). Greed is at an all time high in recorded history. humans are extracting metals, coal, gases at an ever accelerated rate.Taking all he can from Mother Earth and giving back to mother earth- gulf spill, garbage dumps, polluted water, polluted air"I live in the Industrial heart of Ukraine in Zaporozhye and the air at 5PM from the factories is often time unbearable". This is the current state of man.
And just why should the cosmos, earth give man anything? Please explain to me? Earth and the Cosmos are just as much alive as we are.
If you came to my house, dug up my yard for copper, oil, minerals...then throw all your plastics and junk in the holes, used all the money you made from my property to support a hyper materialistic lifestyle,and then you come to me and ask me to reward you..would I? Do we really take mother earth as a fool?

I don't wish to speak bad about anyone, but it seems too many posters here are like the Christians of the 1st century AD thinking the rapture will happen..they call it the shift in conscienceless.(Christians BTW have been waiting for 2 millenniums for this..still waiting Similar to the rapture..reaching a new higher state....As an advent reader of ancient history ranging from the Sumerians-Egyptians and even some South American cultures..I have not found any civilization who have made a claim of a new spiritual height..most make claims of destruction, and catastrophe when they write of the future.... which new agers tend to twist and say 'oh no they were talking of us entering a new spiritual realm' The Pharaohs of old all knew the new realm would be reached at death, and they made preparations for that. One can visit Egypt and see this as clear as day. The next world was when they would be out of body and arrive to that new spiritual enlightenment. They would at that time ascend into the godhead.
My analyst of all this 'new spiritual height' has concluded that it is in a sense a newer religion... i don't buy into it one bit. What i do buy into is we as humans can become more spiritual..and that can put us back on tract to reaching the heavens and communicating with the gods.

If you read my post, I just want to give 2 sides to the 2012 story..if people here were not worried in someways..even 1% unsure if a catastrophe would happen then we wouldn't even have a 2012 forum, but we do, and 2012 is one of the most common search on Google now. As i read most of the post here in the 2012 forum, most all were about spiritual height etc..and many who have studied in depth the Mayans say the Mayans were not referring to a new height, but were talking about the end of an age.They included their sun devil Kinich Ahau..He was the god who is claimed to visit in 2012.

It is all about recuring sun cycles and gigantic CME's that cause magnetic pole reversals. We're entering a area in the galaxy that will accelerate this natural process, and cause history to repeat itself. That's not fear mongering, it's just stating well researched and proven facts. Do'nt hate the messenger, hate the message instead. Do some research and prove it yourself, the facts are'nt too hard to find.

And YES, it seems this 2012 is a sun cycle that happens like clockwork every 25,900 or so years.
Also if the Mayans we so off, they how could they accurately predict eclipse in the future to the day? In the 1st video in post #1 he talks about the Mayan sun god ..he is the one coming back in 2012..So it seems Dec 21 2012 has all the making of a solar cycle-massive solar attack
