Very true anything can trigger anything from the past, and in some cases help bring on more understanding of others and self

It has to do with timing and the like as my mother is not to crazy about talking about them so he has to find the right place and so on.
He has pre-pay phone so that's not a good idea money wise. I wish he would just right it all down and snail mail..

Do you live near you Dad. If you do, maybe you could both go out for dinner for a bit of Father/Daughter quality time?

He lives in Conn. i live in Texas, but i have been trying my best to move back up there as my mother misses me very much, the other reason why i want to move back is sometimes my mom slips and send me tidbits about my past hehehe I love it when she does that as it tells me she is not always afraid of here surroundings (I.E. the MIB's) in that moment in time.

I can't remember if I've told my experiences on the forum before. I don't really want to annoy everybody by double posting lol.
Hey, I'd like to hear your story.
    Thanks :-)

Well, I was very young. I would say I was around ten and I'd finally convinced my parents to let me stay home when they went out. (As a child, I was very prone to "travel-sickness", but I actually think it was some sort of anxiety about cars because I couldn't even sit in one without feeling ill. Actually, when I was a child I couldn't even stand near one. So yeah I pretty much hated going in the car and I had managed to convince my parents to leave me at home when everybody else went out.)

Now the house at that side is pretty closed in to form a driveway with a wall on the other side so that even if we don't put the cars in the garage they're not so exposed to the weather. So yeah the driveway is long and (relatively) narrow and closed in at that end to form like a dead-end passage. I looked out of the window and as I did I saw a car drive past the window. My parents had gone out like 30 seconds before so I wondered if it was them. It was pretty weird because I could see the bottom of the car but it had no top at all. It was as though it was night and only the bottom half was visible because the rest was in shadow (but it was actually about noon and my parents had just left).

I didn't think anything of the car at first but I turned my head to follow it as it went down the driveway. Anyway, when I looked left down towards the end of the driveway, what I took to be headlights were pointing back down the driveway. Now the car had driven in (not reversed) and now the lights were pointing in the direction the car had come. It had no room to turn around where it was and anyway no time to do so, as I followed it directly. Another thing I noticed about the headlights was they were intensely bright blue (bluish white as opposed to yellowish white which is the normal headlight colour here).

In the light of the headlights walking towards me was a man. He was silhouetted because of the brightness of the lights, but I could tell by his outline that he wasn't walking properly. There was a definite... I'm tempted to say a limp but it's more an utter gracelessness... to his walk. As I stood there and watched him walk towards me, I got an awful, sickly and foreboding feeling that this thing wasn't human. The image in my mind was a vampire – something that would look human, even gentlemanly, but 'dead inside'. There was a thought in my head "this is dangerous. It will look human but it won't be human. Look away now" and I looked away completely overcome by this horrible thought. As soon as I had, I shook myself and almost laughed and made myself look back out the window at the car, but there was nothing and nobody there and it was pitch black.

I was rooted to the spot. When I decided to move I pretty much ran to the phone and phoned my mother to ask her if they'd come back into the drive for something (I'd actually watched them leave through that window something like 30 seconds before) and she said that they were about 5 minutes away from returning home and they'd been out hours. Whatever happened in the time between their leaving and returning I don't know, but they were gone hours and I cannot account for those hours.

I waited for them to return sitting in a corner of a room staring out over the rest of them room. When I went to bed that night, I was in the corner of the room staring out over the rest of my room too scared even to blink (it sounds a little pathetic to say, but I literally wouldn't blink. To stop my eyes drying out, I took it in turns to close one eye at a time). I can't account for that missed time, but to this day I have what I call a 'memory of terror'. I think something happened but what I couldn't say, but I can remember feeling such unparalleled terror that I don't think anything could take away that memory, even if the details of it can be hidden.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

I've had other encounters which were less weird. In one of them, I was walking back home from town (my house isn't in town so I have to walk out into the country where there aren't even lampposts to light the way). I was approaching the edge of town when I saw this man in shadow standing looking at his feet. I got a thought in my head to avoid this man, to avoid walking past him. I thought to myself (arguing with my intuition) that I could handle myself if some guy wanted to try something, but the thought came back even louder "fighting will not help!" It was then I got that sense of 'uncanniness' as the Scots call it (there's really no better word for it or them imo); there was something really not normal about this guy. So I turned and went down a second road instead of the path I had been planning to walk.

As I did, I looked up and looked down the road so that I could watch this person without looking directly at him. His head jerked up, jerked towards me and he started shuffling towards me and down the road. It was strange, but even beneath the street lights he seemed mostly in shadow. Even as he followed me, he would do that weird little shuffle while looking at his feet. I passed a house with large hedges and walked into the drive as though I lived there but turned to jump out on him when he came past. I saw a blue flash and when I looked there was nobody there any more. I then left and walked home, apparently without event.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Another I didn't actually see but my friend told me about it. Actually, before she told me she didn't even know what the MIB were. She'd seen the film (lol) but thought the film had invented them. Several times she'd be approached by a man who looked like he'd fallen out of a Dicken's novel – top hat, all black – that sort of thing. This man would even walk up to people she knew and ask them about her. Everyone who's ever met 'him' say that he seems old fashioned but also that he spoke funnily and moved in an unnatural way. So this man was always going up to my friend and asking her weird and apparently inconsequential questions before walking off. If anybody asked him anything, he'd give non-sequitur answers.

In the end, he appeared a few times looking for her to give her a necklace. He was adamant that she wear the necklace saying how important it was for her to do that. The last time she saw him, he appeared when she was with a few people, gave her the necklace (and again a few non-sequitur responses) and then walked away. They followed him. He turned round a corner into a dead end and when they followed (as she told it, they couldn't have been more than 6-7 feet behind him) he had completely disappeared.

She's not seen him since, but when she looked down at the necklace it gave her the creeps. She said it actually made her feel like she was going to be sick just looking at it and touching it. She threw it away in the graveyard (the dead end they followed him into was actually a graveyard), stamped it into the ground and has never seen him or it since.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    Couldn't be long enough, dear-friend.

    shadowstalker, Realeyes, & Seikou-Kishi,

I extend my deepest thanks to you for sharing your experiences. Your disclosure of these events has helped me, and I am sure that I am speaking for others who are, perhaps, still frightened of coming forward as well. I feel a strong connection with you guys because of these events - as unsavory as they may be.

Please do not hesitate to go into any further details and/or update this thread when/if more memories of these events come to light - I promise to do the same.

I can see how tempting it is for people to be too afraid to speak. It's a vicious circle though; if somebody terrifies you into silence, they learn that terrifying you works and they'll do it again. In an exchange between us and the MIB, we get terror and they get compliance. We can't control if we are terrified or not, but we can make sure they don't get what they're after :-)

If they try to terrify you – even if they are successful and do terrify you – and you still don't give them what they want (if you don't run like a sheep from the sheep dog) then what are their options? It's like parents to children about bullying: it's not about not being scared, it's about not letting fear corral you. If a school-kid shows a bully that he can't be intimidated, no matter if that bully is a complete brute, eventually he will lose interest and move on to more satisfying prey.

All things are subject to intepretation, and whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

And there is one moral lesson you've got wrong. If a child is being bullied they shouldn't just keep their head down and ignore and hope the bully will go away, infact you are claiming it as fact that the bully will walk away just like you claim well.....what can they do? What can the MIB do if you don't do what they want? Well there is lots they can do. I'm pretty sure they can approach you anytime they want and do anything they want to you.

Oh no lol, I completely agree there lol. If anybody touched any of mine, I'd be telling them to kick them through the wall and send their "fathers" to me lol :D
All I meant was if the bullies can see you're not scared, be they school yard bullies or MiB, they will get the message sooner or later. With school yard bullies, it's a little easier to drive the message home lol.

Ah Ghostbusters! It'd be nice to watch people putting the otherworldly in its place after a topic like this :D
yeah, too right...but whatever you do "don't cross streams!!"
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we first started
And know the place for the first time

Very odd about the foreboding feeling I had the same feeling with the MIB
Never heard of an MIB giving gifts I wonder what the gift was really for. Hmmmm.

I remember some of the questions this guy asked would be very rude, personal questions (what we might call 'biological' questions; I am eager not to repeat them) and then something like 'is my hat on straight?' Lol.

We've been back to look for this necklace but it was gone. Whether a visitor to the graveyard removed it or something else did, I don't know.
