The best thing about Avalon for me is that we can talk about different kind
of subjects without totally agreeing with eachother. So instead of really discussing
like most people love in everyday life we look with different eyes to the same subject
to grow together. Most discussions in real life are most of the time ego's wanting to
be right. People start to speak louder and their heads look like big tomatoes. If they
were able to feel what's happening with their bodies they would stop immediately,
but it is brain against brain instead of heart with heart.

But I have seen threads starting very interesting and somebody else posting
to show they totally disagree. And after that it becomes a discussion between
the original poster and the one disagreeing with him / her. They forget about the
original subject and it becomes really dreadful to read all the post. That's a shame.

Sometimes people write in the first post they don't want any negativity to
poison the thread. I think that's a simple and good solution. But of course
there are always two people needed to argue.

Hey BP,

I hope you don't mind me using BP, if you do just say so. I hear you, but and yes, there is a but in that how do we learn and grow together if we cannot discuss these topics? I mean discuss, not attack or use ad hominem approaches to shut down a thread we don't like because then it is just negative. It's easy to get defensive and fight back, I've gotten defensive it as have others. I do not find it negative to actually bring up a specific point and say, "When you said X could you explain why you feel that way?" rather than ... "Your a fear monger posting fear porn". Do you see my point?

When someone takes the time to answer, be kind enough to thank them and if you are asked a question in return it's called communication and when someone throws a bunch of accusatory statements out and gets an answer but refuses to give any answers in return it makes a thread a negative thread. So, yes mind only can seem pretty harsh, but heart only can also be very harsh depending on who is doing the talking. I much prefer a discussion based on facts than one based on emotional reactions and little real substance.

I actually like questions or back and forth like Mr. Davis does with me. He is not accusatory. He does not treat me like I am Satan incarnate here to suck your souls dry and ruin your lives as some have acted towards me. I can enjoy an intellectual conversation with anyone and at the end of the day hopefully we both have learned something useful.

I think logic on this forum is not much! Age of Aquarius..is a day that we on the epic of earth enter a new age..What do you expect to happen? Fireworks..then a new dimension? Man has taken so much from this earth..oil, gold, coal..the list goes ever on. If you think you'll reach the new age..well have at it delusion means little.

I've seen more unusual charts on this forum in the last week than I've seen in the last 40 years...that's kind of unusual...Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk...

The site noted the Age of Capricorn. There is literature that suggests that the beginning of the Age of Capricorn is when the world will actually end. (I read that many years ago and wouldn't know where to begin to recover/uncover it.)

I'm glad you don't totally disagree with me

Of course we don't have to talk about love and light all the time.
We don't learn from empty conversations. But sometimes we all
can see it's ego against ego and that's also empty.

As always we have to go for the golden mean. Not left, not right but balance.
So we have useful conversations without fighting eachother.

I love Avalon because of it's absence of fear. Without even knowing the posters on these forums on a personal level I get very positive energy from them.

Such are the blessings (or curses) of egos. People get their egos involved and take it as an affront when someone disagrees or expresses another opinion. On the flip side of the coin, Strong egos can be good though once they are put into service of the Creator.

BTW, one can argue without making it personal. However, all too often the egos becomes involved and things can go bad when they do.

I have almsot no fire. South Node is Leo though. So North is Aquarius. I have little distant but powerful Pluto in Leo. That is it for fire. My Scorpio rising lends some intensity, just a little, lol. Mars and Venus conjunct in Pisces gives that fishy vibe you picked up on. Pretty good.

actually, that's why I'm not a pro...I knew most of what you replied because mine is similar (note the year of my birth). I figured the influence had to be on your ascendant...Scorpio is a reasonable proxy for the fire signs. The difference, I suppose being the nature of the passion. Scorpio rising...my rising sign is cusped between Libra/Scorpio ( i should add this is my own adaptive analysis of birth charts... ) In relation to that adoption and early parental death were experiences that study indicated could occur and both did to me.
