Default What 'Bill Wood' actually said in Tree of Liberty video

If anyone is interested, here is what 'Bill Wood' actually said in the Tree of Liberty video (in which he is supposed to have said that Muslims carried out 9/11), as I have transcribed it.

I would like to point out that what he says seems to have very little to do with who actually carried out the crimes of 9/11. In fact, I find what he says to be quite reasonable and logical. In my opinion, he asks some very pertinent questions.

Apologies to anyone this may offend, it is not intended to do that. Rather, it is intended, in the absence of the person who actually said it, to present what was actually said, word by word, uncolored (perhaps) by personal prejudices.

Quote This is a truly grassroots political movement that is interested in only one thing: logical answers to America's biggest problems. What are those problems?
    • How to solve global terrorism and the Israel-Palestine conflict.
    • How to bring to an end a cycle of perpetual war and conflict with other nations.
    • How to end America's addiction to fossil fuels.
    • How to fix our health-care system so that all US citizens have the same access to healthcare that the elite do.
    • How to make government work for all US citizens and not just the ones with the most money.
    • How to bring a peaceful conclusion to the war on drugs.
    • How to wipe out sex crimes involving children in the United States.
    • How to end jerrymandering.
    • How to reform the way political campaigning works.
    • How to end political corruption. And, finally,
    • How to end business's stranglehold on control of the US Government.
Now, are these the biggest problems facing America? We don't know for sure. But they are the problems that we can solve right now. That's what I said: right now. We don't even require any government or political assistance to make it happen, but it would help a lot if we had the support of our elected representatives. We don't live in a country that allows the average citizen a direct vote on these issues, or they would've already been fixed by now. Therefore, we must depend on our representative government and trust that they will vote the interests of those that they represent.

What are the answers to these problems? The answer to that question is as obvious as why we named the movement Tree of Liberty. First, you must truly understand a problem to fix one. Thomas Jefferson said, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” Well, at least that's the popular part, but there's actually a lot more to it. Let's look at the whole quote:

Quote God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all and always well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts that they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.

And what country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon, and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tryants. It is its natural manure.

Patriots and tyrants are the same. Certainly these labels exist simultaneously. If you're a patriot on one side of a fight, inevitably you will be viewed as a tyrant on the opposite side of the fight. In the Middle East, the American military members are the tyrants and the 9/11 attackers are the patriots.

    Who's right?

Both sides have taken thousands of innocent lives without a second thought. Both sides commit acts that their religions distinctly prohibits. “Thou shalt not kill” is both a Christian and Muslim value, but both justify killing, even of innocent people. Both sides know that they did do it, and they shouldn't, but they still do it.

    Who is right?

Quote The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. And what country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance?

However, there will be no violence in this resistance, only information and education. A fight has begun to preserve the liberties and rights of not only every American, but of every human being on this Earth. Humanity will prevail.

Now, the means to which this will occur are entirely dependent on the actions of our government and military? No. It is dependent on the best of us helping those of us with the most need, not the ones with the most power, money and influence. It is dependent upon honesty and the ability of Americans to admit we have made some horrible mistakes, and we need to fix them.

It's about we, as a nation, accepting that what we are doing is doing great harm to the world, and we need to find a new direction. Why can't the people be “all and always well informed”?

    Thank you.

Thanks Etm567. The transcription helps. It is quite well said and I believe that it would appeal greatly to most folks on PA if they didn't know it was BW that said it. Too bad about the various contradictions in his general presentation.
