That would hold true if Antarctica were on the North pole, but alas it is on the South Pole and the expedition is headed to the North pole where Admiral Byrd supposedly went into inner earth. It is surmised that there is an opening at both poles, but who knows.

Good Post. I Heard about this expedition awhile back. I have since forgotten about this expedition. Keep us posted.
I hope it doesnt get tainted/diluted/debunked/ridiculed or poisoned by The Ass Clowns in our government and the main stream news media 3 ring circus.

As the faithful forum skeptic, my guess is if they make it to the right area, they will be stopped by the gov't one way or another. I think there is something to the tales of the special area where the wind is warm and the climate is nice, but getting the news out about it will only happen if it can somehow be to the benefit of the ptb. I will keep an eye on it though and update when I have something. I welcome all other thoughts and updates from others.

Several years ago when I had Google Earth, I tried to look at the North Pole, but there was no land mass shown whatsoever. Just a small marker saying North Pole. More secrecy, I think. I'm sure that's a no fly zone, too. And people are probably discouraged by militaries from continuing to head there, too. God, the secrecies are getting on my nerves!

The Poles don't belong to anyone, do they? As citizens of the Earth, we'd be entitled to go there without hindrances from anyone.... But of course, corporation-wannabe govts like the US think they own everything on the planet....

I listened to the Brooks Agnew interview. I thought it was hilarious that Agnew artfully dodged each inference of conspiracy theory or far out concepts that Kerry presented as being viable topics. He simply didn't comment or changed the subject each time she went "out on a limb." He seems to be a fairly objective guy. I am really looking forward to seeing what they find on their expedition.

Look into Alexanger Von Humboldt's views of the Hollow earth. He may have been the first to theorize this possibility in rational terms i.e. without saying there are people or other beings living there. His theory stated that given the dynamics of the earth's magnetic field there should be hollows at each pole. Here is a man who is lauded and honored by many place names, buildings, and statuary and no one really knows why beyond the fact that he was kind of the Carl Sagan of his day. He is an interesting and mysterious man.

    ok...

I've just finished reading 'The Hollow Earth', by Dr. Raymond Bernard. A sort of 60's cult classic (gotta love those used book stores)

most of you that are even the slightest bit familiar with my posts know i'm not very scientifically oriented. nor am I much of a researcher. I could read 300 pages of the most asinine, backward sh!t, but if it's cloaked in seemingly impressive mathematical equations or scientific gobbledygook i'm liable to at least consider its authenticity. so for those of you who think (or know) that this topic is a colossal waste of time, and that i'm an idiot for even starting this thread, feel free to tell me how dumb I am (politely, preferably), back it up with a whole bunch of science I won't understand...and maybe i'll close the thread. but until then...

first off, this book was horribly written, and yet...entertaining.

the premise is that the earth is really poleless, that the north and south pole do not really exist per se, but are really 1000-1500 mile wide concave openings that gradually lead to an inner earth, a verdant continent of mountains and valleys, fresh water rivers and yes...perhaps even an ultraterrestrial civilization.

much of it is based on the expedition of navy admiral Richard Byrd in 1947, who allegedly flew his airplane 1700 miles into this concave opening (the north pole opening), reporting back discoveries of iceless lands and lakes, foliage abundant mountains, and wooly mammoth-like creatures roaming about.

as we get away from Byrd's expedition, the science seems a little thin (to this neophyte anyway) examples of animals migrating north are given, trees and tree stumps being found floating in the water the farther north one goes, seeing flowers and an abundance of birds, insects, butterflies etc...it's mostly anecdotal and based on the discoveries/diaries of explorers past...perhaps unreliable diaries written by rugged, tough as nails men who no doubt found entertainment in drinking spirits while arm-wrestling under the harsh midnight sun.

i'm not sure what to make of it. (oh, and did I mention the earth's "inner sun"?) i'm curious as to what Avalon thinks.

thought this was kinda interesting, for those that have the time...

most of you that are even the slightest bit familiar with my posts know i'm not very scientifically oriented. nor am I much of a researcher. I could read 300 pages of the most asinine, backward sh!t, but if it's cloaked in seemingly impressive mathematical equations or scientific gobbledygook i'm liable to at least consider its authenticity. so for those of you who think (or know) that this topic is a colossal waste of time, and that i'm an idiot for even starting this thread, feel free to tell me how dumb I am (politely, preferably), back it up with a whole bunch of science I won't understand...and maybe i'll close the thread. but until then...

i'm not sure what to make of it. (oh, and did I mention the earth's "inner sun"?) i'm curious as to what Avalon thinks.

thought this was kinda interesting, for those that have the time...
Hi Chinaski good to see ya.

    1) I really like the way you started your post.

All should be able to post anything they find interesting or need to know more about without being worried. No one should have their post shot down by anyone. Add info or extra links etc but try to be positive and kind...

    2) yeah it's an interesting subject. Most try shooting it down by saying well it would be easy to debunk; just go up there. But we have all herd of other dimensions and of species that can supposedly manipulate the dimensions, well the hollow Earth/poles could be a good example of this in action, right before our eye's ha
So lets entertain this ancient speculation, please explain the origins of Earths magnetosphere, explain volcanoes, explain tectonic theory, explain earthquakes if the earth is indeed hollow.
Good point's Toad but explain me this! Dose any of what you say really exist? What is reality? Isn't everything just illusion and all made up by one little Dot, a dot that is everywhere at the same time, a dot that contain's all energy that is or ever will be? I can see space for the concept of the illusion of a Hollow-Earth and or Solid-Earth with in the same Illusion we call reality!

    Default Re: Hollow Earth?

I looked into the hollow earth thing. I came away feeling that most of the reasons folks thought there was a hollow earth was because of the advanced civilizations pocketed here in there in underground bases/cities.
I personally think these bases/cities are quite large and expansive, but I stop short of thinking they are part of a vast hollowed out earth. At this time my distrust of all things academic is so high I would have no problem something like this would be hidden and lied about, but it just doesn't intuitively sit well with me. It seems that whenever we were struck by a decent sized asteroid in the past it would have just broke the planet into pieces like an egg shell.

Also there is the whole thing with the magnetosphere. It seems like the explanation of a rotating liquid iron center makes sense for the magnetosphere.

I have no problem with large underground bases though.
