Hello Everyone: This is a fascinating subject! It's been discussed alot on avalon. I followed this very closely since Steve Currey was going to have an expedition to the Hollow Earth opening in the North. About 6 months before he was to leave he came down with cancer that killed him before he was to go! Here is his closed website:

Since Steve's expedition was unexpectedly cancelled another fellow has taken up the gauntlet. Here is his site:

Well my friend, according to your original post, we have much in common. I cannot confirm or deny the hollow earth theory, I've considered it for quite a while, if I were a betting man, I'd say the hollow earth theory is probably quite accurate, I cant say I really "subscribe" to anything I can not prove, however it seems really probable to me, that and I tend to discredit most of main stream science instinctively.

    ok...

I've just finished reading 'The Hollow Earth', by Dr. Raymond Bernard. A sort of 60's cult classic (gotta love those used book stores)

most of you that are even the slightest bit familiar with my posts know i'm not very scientifically oriented. nor am I much of a researcher. I could read 300 pages of the most asinine, backward sh!t, but if it's cloaked in seemingly impressive mathematical equations or scientific gobbledygook i'm liable to at least consider its authenticity. so for those of you who think (or know) that this topic is a colossal waste of time, and that i'm an idiot for even starting this thread, feel free to tell me how dumb I am (politely, preferably), back it up with a whole bunch of science I won't understand...and maybe i'll close the thread. but until then...

i'm not sure what to make of it. (oh, and did I mention the earth's "inner sun"?) i'm curious as to what Avalon thinks.

thought this was kinda interesting, for those that have the time...
Hi Chinaski good to see ya.

    1) I really like the way you started your post.

All should be able to post anything they find interesting or need to know more about without being worried. No one should have their post shot down by anyone. Add info or extra links etc but try to be positive and kind...

    2) yeah it's an interesting subject. Most try shooting it down by saying well it would be easy to debunk; just go up there. But we have all herd of other dimensions and of species that can supposedly manipulate the dimensions, well the hollow Earth/poles could be a good example of this in action, right before our eye's ha
So lets entertain this ancient speculation, please explain the origins of Earths magnetosphere, explain volcanoes, explain tectonic theory, explain earthquakes if the earth is indeed hollow.
Good point's Toad but explain me this! Dose any of what you say really exist? What is reality? Isn't everything just illusion and all made up by one little Dot, a dot that is everywhere at the same time, a dot that contain's all energy that is or ever will be? I can see space for the concept of the illusion of a Hollow-Earth and or Solid-Earth with in the same Illusion we call reality!
We could play that game all day, the truth is you cant tell me where my nose ends and space begins.

A few years ago I was following this line of evidence and came upon a group that was just about to embark on a trip to the north pole to find the entrance to the hollow earth. They had a ship and about, was it fifty crew and scientists? Then, all talk of them vanished. Anyone know what I am referring to? I am very bad with names, cannot remember. It was a serious attempt to uncover the truth about the hollow earth. What happened to this expedition? Anyone know?

edit: looks like maybe the vid explains. I'll have to wait until I have time to work on my project while listening to this show to find out for sure. I can't sit while doing nothing and listen without visuals.

It's nice to see you back here on Avalon, Mike.
I think there's some truth to the Hollow Earth theory.
Though what's confusing to me is what some sources say, that the underground civilizations are here, but in other dimensions or times.
(I'm still working on wrapping my head around these subjects of parallel realities, dimensions, time lines, etc. )
But in a universe where it seems that virtually all things are ultimately possible, then why not Hollow Earth?
Some of the Native Americans say they lived inside the earth at certain times in their history, and in my experience, if you are able to separate fact from myth (though not always easy) in indigenous lore, there is truth at the core.

And here's something from Drunvalo, who, if he weren't so in touch with so many indigenous elders, I would probably think is very much out to lunch (and still do sometimes), but you have to give some credit at least to anyone who attempts to describe events and phenomena that are pretty much indescribable.

I looked into the hollow earth thing. I came away feeling that most of the reasons folks thought there was a hollow earth was because of the advanced civilizations pocketed here in there in underground bases/cities.
I personally think these bases/cities are quite large and expansive, but I stop short of thinking they are part of a vast hollowed out earth. At this time my distrust of all things academic is so high I would have no problem something like this would be hidden and lied about, but it just doesn't intuitively sit well with me. It seems that whenever we were struck by a decent sized asteroid in the past it would have just broke the planet into pieces like an egg shell.

Also there is the whole thing with the magnetosphere. It seems like the explanation of a rotating liquid iron center makes sense for the magnetosphere.

I have no problem with large underground bases though.

    hey DNA,

I think this is most in alignment with my instincts. the book lost me a little when it spoke of an internal sun (held in place by (fill in muddy science I didn't understand)) and the land inside the earth being more abundant than the land outside (apparently it's due to the inside not having as much water). it didn't help that the book was written in the 60's, smelled like my Dad's old comic books (fiction) and had me vaguely thinking of Star Trek (fiction) the whole time.

the author, however, is a learned man. a respectable man. he graduated Columbia University in 1932, and got his Phd at New York University in education. he was also a heavy proponent of "alternative" health, was an esoteric writer, author and mystic who helped form the alternative reality subculture (all this according to Wikipedia). although he was a passionate researcher, one thing he was not is a scientist.

i'm still intrigued, however, because of my firm belief in the ultraterrestrial theory, which I know you share (to a degree, anyway).

Paula, I think you were just a little ahead of your time...which is not too surprising. it's not a very hot topic, even amongst folks like us, on the fringe.

there are legends in many cultures of a hollow earth, coming from the greeks, celts, and native americans (amongst others), which is awefully coincidental

it is very striking that the novel (yours) should parallel the tragic unfolding of your life during that period. as usual, I am awed by your strength

hi Onawah, thanks for all the info! (thank you too Chancy!)

i've given up on parallel realities and time lines, I think - there is not enough aspirin in the world to make contemplating worth it!

I just saw this movie 'Looper' recently, and it's premise ( the mob sent assassins into the past to be executed. the executioners, when they hit the age of 30, must close their loops, and execute themselves) is a little confusing, and silly I think, because timelines don't effect other timelines that overtly (in my opinion) ...and there are of course more than 2 timelines, right? in other words, if one of my past selves lost an arm in a car wreck, i'm quite certain my arm wouldn't just suddenly vanish in my current lifetime. well, it wasn't a perfect movie....entertaining though.

hey, when you figure it all out, let me know!

Oh Mike, this topic really interests me - very seductive. Ever since I went to see the Fram museum in Oslo - and started to investigate the background to one of the explorers whose trip up to the arctic circle was as a young boy - with an uncle I believe. He returned with a fantastical story of what he and his uncle found up there - an entrance to middle earth, and kindly giants.

Mind you, that is not the focus at The Fram Museum, which is dedicated to the famous expedition of the ice breaker, which got iced in for a few months. But speculation is that the captain deliberately put the ship into this situation to go out and investigate (the legend of the entrance further).

Are you familiar with Brooke Agnew's interest in this alleged entrance as well? Take a look at this website - they are still trying to raise funds to mount a new expedition. There have been some great interviews that you might like. http://www.x2-radio.com/phoenixscien...piee/team.html

I need to get back to work here - but I would much rather be taking another look at all this.

Thanks for the reference to that book as well - like to read it

    Default Re: Hollow Earth?

Here's my two cents on this subject:

For many years I was always put off by the hollow earth theory. It just violated too much of what I thought I knew about the geology and physics of the earth. And no, I'm no expert on those subjects by any means. Anyway the theory didn't sit right with me. Then something happened a couple years ago to make me reconsider the issue. I read about alien bases that were inside mountains. These bases were not inside the mountains in the sense of the mountain being physically hollowed out to make room for the base, these bases were inside the mountains in a parallel physical reality that was "quantum phase shifted" from that of the physical interior of the mountain, which remained intact. In other words, the mountain and the base occupied the same 3D space at the same time, but didn't interfere with each other because the phase shifting allowed them to occupy different physical realities simultaneously.

Well, this made me rethink the hollow earth issue. The alien bases were accessed by means of quantum portals that they could open up at will, to enter the reality of their base inside the mountain with their ships. Those quantum portals sounded a lot like the purported portals at the poles of the planet that people reported seeing sometimes, and that a few occasionally entered, at least briefly.

The possibility of a quantum phase shifted hollow interior for the earth, or the other planets for that matter, seems to me to be a completely different matter than the old argument of physically solid earth vs. physically hollow earth.

Of course, I don't know the actual truth of the matter, but this possibility might help explain the various civilian and military reports of flying vessels emerging from the interior of the earth at the poles?

If you study emerging theories, your logic will lead to hollow planet. That's where I'm at nowadays. I live in complete different reality than most people including mainstream scientists. Even though I stick to real science and technology.

There are four states of matter: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. As soon as matter becomes plasma, it become free from gravity. Electromagnetic force takes over plasma's behavior mostly. Temperature will rise as depth from the Earth's surface increases. How hot it is the question I have. But I think whether it's gaseous or plasma, Earth's core should be hollow.

Planets like Earth grow through billions to hundred millions years of time. Planet accumulate good amount of matter in space where it travels. Sometimes it attract small satellites violently or explode.

so for those of you who think (or know) that this topic is a colossal waste of time, and that i'm an idiot for even starting this thread, feel free to tell me how dumb I am (politely, preferably)
OK! I can do that if you like.

    Right. (This should be understandable!)

Bill, your argument indeed holds water (pun intended) only if all the phenomena involved are within this physical reality -- i.e. the physical earth as we know it. What if that is not the case? What if more than one interpenetrating physical reality are actually involved?

P.S. Has anyone read H. W. Percival on this subject? His book makes no sense on this subject, to me at least, unless you suppose that what he is describing actually relates, not to the physical earth, but to the inner spiritual planes of the earth being -- somewhat like exploring the inner spiritual planes of our own being?

I believe that hollow earth supporters argue that the oceans (and everything else) are gravitationally attracted to the crust rather than the centre of the earth. If this is the case, the earths outer ocean would flow seamlessly into an inner ocean (both of which are attracted to the mid-point of the crust rather than the centre of the planet). Brooks Agnew could probably offer a better explanation than I have.
