So many things would be so much better if we didn't have to eat to survive. Just imagine what our homes would look like... No kitchens because no cooking, doing dishes, etc... No bathrooms because, well, you can guess that!... We probably won't smell from the foods we won't eat. No need for medicines from food related toxicities....
Yeah, I'm thinking it would be real good...
Anybody know about body language? Is there anything giving them away?
    Just wondering....

Funny I found myself here after a Target's thread about athletes dying sooner than couch potatoes ...

    Basically what I said there:
There is a direct relationship between calories consumed and longevity (scientifically proven). So, in extrapolating on that, I'd say becoming a breatharian or sun-gazer as a source for energy over food is one the road to immortality. I thought "gluttony" was a major sin from some scriptures ... if so it takes on a whole new meaning after knowing this.

I have been able to get down to ~500 calories a day with no weight loss (and I 'm 175 with a few to lose) of either muscle or fat. When you cut food and get over the food addiction, your body's gene expression changes and it does many processes very differently - it is these processes that are linked to the longevity. Your body says "oh! no food incoming?" and finds a way to make all your cells live longer and recycle more slowly -- it becomes incredibly efficient (I know because I've been there, done that) and requires little food (good luck getting to this state as an athlete though - it likely is not easy and/or potentially dangerous). Once your body has become used to utilizing little energy in a very efficient means, breatharianism and sun-gazing for energy become much more plausible.
"You are NOT the form you animate, But the Force of Animation Itself" -Ken Carey

The State of Grace already exists. It always has. Yet most humans are blinded to it by the incessant machinations of the rational thought processes that they worship.

Havn't had a chance to watch the film. I have lived around people not eating. Interesting experience (for them and me). I liked it. I don't know if it is something anyone normal can do (the people who accomplished it had done other similar 'crazy' things before....in the name of 'exploration' of themselves). I tried the process they went through (the not eating process....came out in the early 1990s) and failed (3 times).

Gave up on the whole idea. But lately more talk about it (from people doing it a bit differently....using the sun and meditation...which wasn't the process as put out in the early days).

Not eating may only be a fantasy (for the typical human). But I keep checking (as new methods appear).

Thank you so much for posting this. It was delightful. I know from personal experience that this is absolutely real and very do able. In fact, I have heard the estimate that there are 50,000 breatharians around the world now. Here is a link to a wonderful thread on this topic here on Avalon. There are other delightful videos there, links to authors and books, as well as my own story: http://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...a-how-to-guide

Thank-you for this, It is the first time that breatharian practice has been shown in a workable format. I have been some what cynical in the past, thinking only a proficient yogi would be able to manage this, also aware that there have been a number of deaths of people trying this. I like the couples simplicity about it all.

Thank you so much for this post.

Those were the two most amazing, friendly, welcoming people i have seen in a long time, i am so interested in this right now, i want to go to the omniversal supermarket and score me some of this and munch down on it. NomNomNom inhale exhale.

Very cool couple, it reminds me a lot of the Rebirthing sessions i did with the continious closed breathing cycles, but this is on a much deeper level, it made me remember a dream in which i saw how i was created from the thoughts of an universal being ( i literally grew in his held up hand as i was aware of its thinking of me), when i was created and stood in his hand looking around with wonder he breathed into me and i received the gift of life itself. In this instant at a very young age i knew what to do, and how to do it, of course **** and life happen simultaniously so i forgot this dream for a long time but it all came back to me later on in life.

I do not know why this part seems religious when i say it because i have NOTHING WHATSOEVER with ANY religion in any way shape or form. To me this dream ( I was about five years old when i had it and i remember every single detail of it) was very profound and informed me of how creation actually works. First the thought and or idea and the rest follows if you follow through with it ( breathe life into it, or any other appropiate action to make it grow).

So, no religion needed here eh.
