Judge Dismisses Organic Farmers' Case Against Monsanto

    http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/201...ainst-monsanto

A New York federal court today dismissed a lawsuit against agribusiness giant Monsanto brought by thousands of certified organic farmers. The farmers hoped the suit would protect them against infringing on the company's crop patents in the future.

The Organic Seed Growers and Trade Association and several other growers and organizations do not use Monsanto seeds. But they were betting that the judge would agree that Monsanto should not be allowed to sue them if pollen from the company's patented crops happened to drift into their fields.

Instead, the judge found that plaintiffs' allegations were "unsubstantiated ... given that not one single plaintiff claims to have been so threatened." The ruling also found that the plaintiffs had "overstate[d] the magnitude of [Monsanto's] patent enforcement." Monsanto brings an average of 13 patent-enforcement lawsuits per year, which, the judge said, "is hardly significant when compared to the number of farms in the United States, approximately two million."

Those of you that visit the news report of NPR, I would like to invite your attention to
the photograph that accompanies the article.

Do you notice or have any thoughts on some peculiarities of the photo?

Do you note also that the article doesn’t supply the name of the presiding Judge?

    (Democrat Naomi Buchwald)

this is the same Judge that voiced her opinion against Sarah Palin

And additionally, Natural News provides an article about NPR and their violation of FCC rules as its provides interests of it sponsorship donor Monsanto

It should not come as to a surprise that this suit would turn out any other way.
It would be extremely difficult to impossible to beat the system that is controlling
    the system.

As there as several other threads in regards to food contamination and Monsanto-antics,
I wanted to start a place where this type of information could be more centrally consolidated.

    Hi olgraybear,

I read this earlier on another site and it was to be expected. I just hope that case after case keeps hitting the courts and keep monsanto so busy defending their rotten products and deceitful ways that eventually the world wakes up and takes a stand to oust this company out of business while they never saw it coming.,........ Fat Chance I know but one can always have hope visioning it to be !!
    Love and Light Always/Sandy

This company and all its competitors need be taken out.
As all buyable courts and judges and their myrmidons.
They're part of the 'cementors of the status quo', the architecture
that is actually halting and/ or destroying all natural development.
Except for their agenda [= their pockets], they are 100% harmful, useless, superfluous.

May they all be flattened by something they do not believe in:

    Sudden Conscience.

Probably won't happen. But, who knows?

As I read a reply from a post on another site, 'There is a seed that is planted that monsanto cannot control'

This is bad news but the fight is not over. We know the courts have been corrupted.

We, the people, and common sense WILL prevail.

Now with the consideration of what can physically happen to our bodies systems by eating GM foods, wouldn't you want to know when you are?
