let the gods speak for themselves, we were created in their image so they have mouths they can speak.

Shrug that's as much as creation of a religion, based on a prediction, based on a belief that something is going to happen in the future. Its as much a creation of a religion as what the OP posted. That's wrong but David Wilcocks is right? Its just more pitting belief systems and religions together to cause people to take sides.

I'll stick with the now. Very challenging very empowering. But its real, its happening to me now, and I don't have to believe in promises or wait for something to happen. it is happening. Now.

No thanks I'm fine the way I AM. I personally know that my lack of beleifs is better but I can't peddle that, or create religion or a belief around it, but I also create division with my lack of belief.

We will become the 2nd coming of The Christ Consciousness. The Apotheosis of Mankind. As spoken by David Wilcock.

His prediction is that humans on Earth will transmute into "light beings" and achieve Apotheosis -- where Man becomes God -- and the 'Gods' themselves return? IMO religion would now become obsolete.

Admittedly I'm always highly skeptical of anyone who claims to speak for God, or that God has spoken to/through him/her.

If God wants to get my attention, he knows of more sure ways to do it that through some obscure person trying to sell God in a book.

So to answer the question, the "messenger" would need to be more convincing than some guy asking me to take his word for it that he speaks for God. I want proof.

"If God sent a new Messenger to found a new religion - would you care?" - My answer is NO. Because humans were genetically created by aliens and I believe the aliens will show themselves one day (soon) and they will solve all the messes we've made here and help us into the 5th Dimension. Some evidence is UFOs have disarmed nuclear missles according to Kerry's interview with Mr Kettler.

    dim,
I, equally, will say the same thing.

Mankind has done a horrible job of listening to His "original" message. As with the account, in the Bible, about "Lazarus and the rich man",....the rich man requested for Lazarus to be sent back to his relatives with a "new message" so they could avoid the end results that he was now facing. His request was consequently turned down.

    .Luke 16:19-31
    King James Version (KJV)

19There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

    22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

God could rain down "new messages" upon mankind every other day, and most would try to sift through each one until they found a flavor they liked.

No, there is absolutely nothing wrong with God's "original message"!! The problem lies with those who don't like the contents of what God "originally said" and consequently want the "message altered" to their liking.

Thankfully He's not that kind of wishy-washy God. His Word has been carefully thought out and set in motion from the foundation of the world!

    Psalm 119:89
    King James Version (KJV)

89For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

It still remains a requirement for each of us to accept God's Word as it is,.....surrender to It's authority,......recognize that we are indeed a sinner,.....and find a place of repentance before a loving God full of grace and glory!

Then it's a simple matter of obeying the "Apostolic message" that God imparted to his followers and was set in motion on the Day of Pentecost.

    Acts 2:37-47
    King James Version (KJV)

37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

    44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Paul went on to adamantly warn against anyone who attempted to altar, change, or add to this Gospel Message,....whether it was "man" or "angel from heaven".

    Galatians 1:6-9
    King James Version (KJV)

6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

This is the "original message" sent to the "New Testament" church, in its infancy, and it still remains the same today. Many have tried to change it,....Catholicism did it's best to at the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D., .....but it still remains the same today!!!

Pay close, close attention to the "Gospel message" of 1) Death,.....2) Burial,.....and 3) Resurrection, my friends!!!

    Love and Peace to all!,.....kreagle

It depends on what they make you ware. I don't like purple and I HATE orange. Otherwise who cares. If it's just a religion then it's just a lot of blah blah.

Avatars stick out like freaks among humans. They're not understandable because what they talk about is something no one really wants. We fake it by agreeing with them, but won't follow the advice.
Buy the book. Set up a little alter, maybe a photo. Get your wardrobe coordinated. Change your habits around a little.

The worst is the inevitable lineup of REAL freaks who form and police religions and think that parroting the avatar is what it's about. Humiliate them if you see em.

A solution perhaps? That would be nice. How about a simple little discipline in personal responsibility for the way you think, that's in a reasonable understandable language that doesn't exclude everybody else.

I find it painful to see how people can completely ignore the insanely large, picture rich, universe around us, that is so full of wonder and awe and instead look for guidance in a book or two that is written by dozens or even hundreds of people in a time where this glorious universe was closed to them and somehow, expect to find answers that are even slightly relevant to us who are trying to make sense of this awesomeness that is at least this universe.

    Sad, really sad.

If God bothers to send a messenger, I can at least hope that he/she/it is not a blithering idiot that leads people to murder each other for yet another thousand years, just to keep the population in check.

    G'day Intranuclear,

I agree with much of your post but would just point out that often it isn't the avatar that is a "blithering idiot", it is the ones who use/interpret the message to exert control and consolidate power around themselves that do the killing.

it's likely God has learned his lesson with the messengers.

though we could have a fun time with the thread title a little, i.e. did "God" really send these messengers? and if he did, was it His intention to start a religion? was one of these especially popular messengers really his "son"?

and if it wasn't God, then who? and why? for what purpose?

the thread title assumes a little too much imho, but i'll play along. would i care? man, i'm not sure. David Blaine and Kris Angel can both walk on water, so the new guy would really have to out-do himself this time, wouldn't he?

If God sent a new Messenger....

    hmmmm...

    If God do exist...

    WHY?

Why does that force/entity/all-there-is need to send a messenger?

Would it not be easier to speak to everyone directly?

Honestly, I'd tell the messenger thanks but no thanks. It's difficult enough here already with the religions we've got.

I'd tell him to keep movin,' and ask him to send word back to the almighty that we'd rather speak with him one on one for a change...get a few real answers straight from the horse's mouth.

edit: and then I'd avoid flying in any light aircraft for a while....

Default Re: If God sent a new Messenger to found a new religion - would you care?

I agree, its not that religion in its self is bad, just that the many twist and distort these teachings to aid their own ends. I never did understand how we could have so many different religions all coming from one true entity, the creator for the want of a better word. If a creator exists, I'm sure its goal was to build a playground ( the universe) so that souls could graze their knees. As souls its our destiny to grow and learn, and to do that we have to fall down from time to time. This can only be achieved through the physical form, limited as it is. In questioning and keeping our minds open to any and all possibilities we stay on the path of true growth, one where we can explore the beauty of the essence of existence.
Just my take on it, I'm sure some may disagree but I feel we all on our own journey and by simply being here together we are aiding one another to that end.
