I was thinking that this is how Avalon (and other similar sites that I visit) feel to me lately. Instead of "war, famine, death, aids, recession, depression..." We have the truth (in DIFFERING versions, mind you) according to David Wilcox, Alex Collier, Bob Dean, Benjamin Fulford, Atticus, John Lash, James Gilliland, Wade Frazier, Inelia, Michael Tsarion, Nassim Harremien, Pane Andov, Jordon Maxwell, O'Finion, etc, etc....

Meanwhile, we look out our window and see that our 3D reality hasn't changed one iota (except to perhaps get a little worse and worse over the years).

Maybe, just maybe, we are really just meant to be born, to suffer, then to die and that's ALL there is to it. Period.

Maybe our minds have such difficult time accepting this sad reality that we make up or search for other's made up stories to assuage our sadness at the reality of it. We take the one that appeals the most to us, makes our sadness lift enough to get through the day with some hope and we run with that and cling to it like it's the air we breathe.

Cynical? You bet! And yet just maybe it's the ultimate truth.

I am so very tired of trying to believe a hopeful story that gives me a reason to get up every day while the days reveal nothing of that story. And I am not saying this so people will try to 'cheer me up'. If you believe something that gets you going and gives you peace - I am happy as can be for you. I guess I'd just like to know that I am not alone. Misery loves company after all, lol!

Thanks Nearing, an interesting thread to say the least. There are times when I also felt overwhelmed by all of the above that you have mentioned and not being able to see anything changing around me. Until I began to realize what has changed was inside me. It is easy to become confused and discouraged with so much happening all around us. I have been there more than once. Just as an experiment, I began to listen to my heart through meditation and prayer. I found this to be very grounding and it helped to maintain my perspective. I have learned to listen more carefully within myself and found the balance and peace I sought. This will probably be different for everyone. I know that what ever does manifest in the near future, I am not overly concerned about it. The most important thing I have come to KNOW!! is that we do have the power to change the way things are both in ourselves and the world around us. I have learned to apply filters/discernment when ever my intuitive side of myself did not resonate with what i read or viewed. We live in such a complex world/universe; so many things happening at different levels. There is no way any one could possibly try to grasp it all. I don't even try to. From the moment I awake in the morning I say thankyou to SOURCE for all. I try to live my life with a smiling heart (no judgement), its not easy, but practice makes perfect. I am still practicing, and actually seeing some success. If I reflect back onwhere I was a few years back and compare it to the now I do see a lot of change in me, and I like the new me. Please do not get discourage or tired. Focus on the things and people you love in your life, reflect and appreciate the beauty around your and the beauty within you, you will be delighted with what you find.

I think for me I knew we were toast was when I saw Donald Rumsfeld on the View a few months back with Barbara Walters.

Now, I never watch TV but, I was at the local YMCA when I saw "Rummy" while riding the bike to nowhere......

I hear you nearing... many times I wonder if I'm doing the right thing spending so much time listening to the interviews, reading, Avalon, etc., etc., I worry about humanity and the future, you get the picture... and almost everybody who surrounds me don't know anything about it, they are prospering and living life as usual, they don't know and could care less about good or bad ETs, they have no idea who Bob Dean is or Alex Jones...

Quantum physics? And you eat it with what? Are you taking pills? The most they know is what they have watched on tv about the mayan calendar and the only question has been if I believe the world is going to end in Dec. 12/2012; when I say no, they replay: yeah, me neither!

God, I am really glad I don't watch tv - I am sure whatever that man had to say would have thrown me over. He shouldn't even be allowed to roam free, let alone be speaking on national television.

I think there is a point to your cynicism, I mean we are losing.
People might be winning some kind of individual spiritual/ other dimensional battles, or is that just another illusion of Ego?
I guess basically, some of us are fighting, but we need to do more.

Nearing- Its weird because I was thinking this EXACT thing earlier today. All this Love and Light Bull***t. Yet the reality is just that. The same reality that was there 5 10 20 years ago only that many times worse. And It is starting to feel like one big dose of denial. That said, one thing that I have been thinking is that IF something happens, this year I mean, it will be solar related. And one thing we DO know is the sun is very angry right now. (shes on her cycle you know LMAO) And the solar max wont be until may of 13, so shes just beginning to gain momentum.

But the truth is, 99% of the people don't give a rats arse. Nobody notices that the sun is twice as bright as it was a year ago, still no one notices the chemtrailing etc. Nothing has changed on that front.

All we can do is live each day like its our last.

Nearing, I'm right there with you. We, that have been together for awhile on this forum, have gone through so many ups and downs and so many hopeful times.
It does at times seem so disparaging.

Even though I do not see the change around me, I do know one thing, I have seen and felt the change from inside me. That is fact. Outside I see no change, only worsening of the human condition. But inside I find growth, hope and the knowing that something is coming, something is happening even though it isn't visible. This is the only thing that keeps me going.

I know if I give in or give up, I may manifest the negative aspects of those beliefs. For me, it is not worth the gamble, to bet on nothing, because that is what I may have. I'm betting on the positive aspects because that is the future I desire. Whether others believe there is a spiritual component to what lies ahead or not, I feel there is.

From the time I was a small child, I always felt I would be a witness or apart of some great event. Nearing, I don't know when, but it is coming. Don't give up.

My advice, go immerse yourself in mother nature for a few days.

Go bush walking, fishing, camping, rock climbing, anything that involves being outdoors.

Get out of the house, get out of the rat race, get away from the computer, get away from civilization... and get back to nature for a bit.

Do that, and you'll probably start to feel much better about things.

You'll probably start to remember what's (actually) important again.

And, you'll probably realise that none of the stuff you're concerning yourself with really matters all that much in the grand scheme of things.

How you perceive and feel about things is always up to you.

You're in control.

Life doesn't have to be so confusing and complicated.

Ultimately, how you live your life and what you choose to focus your energy on is entirely up to you.

Time to snap out of it.

Everything in moderation, including Avalon and conspiracy theory research.

Give yourself a break.

In the end, it's all about balance.

Yeah Nearing, it reminds me of 'The road'. A brilliant book....and movie! (not a big hit at the Box office, not surprising). Many would/could not read/watch it because it was too depressing.

Nearing, I couldn't agree more - we're living in a 3-D world full of Wars, hate, AIDS, suffering, rudeness, .... It really feels like David Icke said this are going to get very bad, but consciousness will rise in a few years time. It's hard to believe1 I'd like to forget about what's happening in the world.

I also think the sheeple will vote the awake-minority into Communism, World Govt and more Wars, so the future is not full of love and light. No matter how "positive" I am it's not going to make much difference to the world.

Avalon Members are all varieties.

Negativity can feed insecurities, a good reason not to let that deter or discourage you. While it is good to Turn Off the TV, it is also good to Turn of Avalon, especially if the message is not positive or a response destroys the "positive" or "blessing" in the positive message. This curious thread, while perhaps honest admission, looking for misery loves company support, is just one of those.

Please try this. During your meditations, go deep inside, perhaps focusing on your stomach area: Find that pain. Look at it as hard as you can. Turn that pain to smoke and blow it out. Keep blowing until it's gone.

Ask yourself why you came here to get beat up to the point where you have no hope. Now ask yourself if you would have incarnated here with no constructive purpose. Ask yourself if you have learned the key lesson, so that now your journey can move on into the more positive phase. Ask yourself if you are going to be the light that lifts the effort or the anchor that drags it down. Now, presuming, that you choose to be a positive force, and choose to warm the hearts of others souls that your light will touch, turn on your beacon.

Help yourself by helping others, even if it is a small thing: Drop off a pie to your next door neighbor. Ask them how they are doing. Don't leave until you see a smile on their face (or a poker in the head, if you've interrupted something good).

This is a longer explanation of what crested-duck said. Plus, you have a very rare and wonderful opportunity and responsibility, because of your knowledge, to use that for constructive purpose.

Reading sll of the posts here now, I must say I totally agree with all of you. We, yes we, are here for a reason, and that is to help each other and love each other unconditionally.
