Blame (or thank, depending on your tastes) Borden for the rest of the decore, because I said so. :D

This is a place to come when one doesn't mind getting down and nitty gritty with discussion and sharing, where 'polite' doesn't equate with massive self censure or following social programming that I frankly find bizarre. I'm not going to promise that I won't go splat, because personal blind spots are called that for a reason- what I will promise is that if I do go splat I'll regroup, hold as best as I can in the moment to my personal philosophy of embracing the lesson without shooting the messenger and look to the evolution/connection that is possible in the moment.

Did you notice the signs at the entrance? "Leave your preconceptions, assumptions, presumptions and baggage here, or prepare to have the parameters of your limitations poked, prodded and most likely made fun of in an intelligent and observant manner." I"m totally up for having any failings or insufficiencies of my perspective explored- it's one of the reasons I'm here- but if it's done via stupid schoolyard tactics of recursive/empty rhetoric, be warned: I bite when I play and I bite when I fight, the difference is with one of them I'm holding the other individual's preference for pressure in mind. *brief flash of wildish eyes*

This establishment also caters to Beings of all physical manifestations, so please don't assume you're talking to a human or someone that even behaves like one. This is an environment where the question 'if I could really behave exactly the way I would like to, what would it look like?' can be explored.

So welcome! Bar's open, there's an option 'mute' function on every karaoke singer and the dance floor can hold 500, or 750 if it's a mosh pit. :D Find the booth where you feel comfy and tell me a story...


UPDATE FOR NEWCOMERS

As of 16 March, we have a Pub related experiment going on involving astral travel, cosmic sized meetups, a luscious booth and getting our freak on when it comes to using OOBEs as the new black for partying.

(Update: this has kind of taken a backburner position while I explore the decoding of the genetics, which is part of my process in getting to the astral eventing. )

Please do check in with this front page as things go on, because I want to use this as a first point for linking discussions relevant to Pub experiments and explorations that are going on in the main forum. At least until we get our own Pub sticky for Pub related threads; the day on which this occurs we will have achieved our aims of world domination, mwahahahahaah!!- *ahem* err, ah, we will have achieved something but we have absolutely no idea whatsoever that might be, and world domination has nothing whatsoever to do with it because that would just be cheesy.

For the sake of clarity, I'm going to keep my own form of sticky here on the front page, with links to relevant posts under (eventual) grouped headings. These will be good to go through so that newcomers can get a general sense of where teh pub is at.

one question: is this a democracy, or will you be the sole arbiter of this 'mute' button on the karaoke machine? i mean, if i'm going to participate, i need to know whose going to be doing the 'gonging' here; and i'll also need to know if you like Gordon Lightfoot, because i can get quite enthusiastic about belting out 'Sundown' after 6-7 guinness.

Sir might also wish to know that here, AC/DC after Bon Scott is to be referred to as the other AC/DC.

As for sir's desire to belt out Sundown after 6-7 guinness, be assured that now we know the magic number of drinks to trigger this event, our alert and well motivated staff will work tirelessly to keep sir well above this.

ooh, there's some confusion in the ranks over Borden's numanity, or lack thereof- ah, that also might explain a few things. *sudden laughter* ooooh, I now have my pithy response when someone accuses me of having a lack of humanity over something! hoorah!

Right, let's get to the bottom of this Nordic thing!

Since earliest childhood memory I felt that I was among an unfamiliar species. Even in kindergarten I found the other kids to be loud, boring and of no interest to me. Once, in my teens, when play fighting with my brother he stopped mid fight, holding a fist full of my hair, and to our astonishment there was a bright blue hair which he plucked and we scrutinised, wondering how the hell that could have got there. I also have a tiny, bright blue dot on my knee.

When I read that stuff about the Nordics it went on about how their immune system is different and superior to human's. Couple of years ago I had some blood tests and when my doctor phoned me about the results he remarked on my immune system, and gave me some number which I don't understand, adding "how the hell do you do that?!"

I am also very tall, and my hair is blond, though it goes darker in the winter, which is when my avatar picture was taken. My hair is not green.

Also, that test was very long and very specific. The questions were odd. A lot of them were about physical and medical stuff, and it wasn't one of those ten question things that ask, "Do you feel different from other people?" I wish I knew where to find it again, but it was years ago. I would dearly love to make my ex-girlfriend take that test. Nothing would surprise me.

So it's obviously conclusive. I must be interviewed by Kerry Cassidy at once.

If anyone dares suggest that I was simply a sensitive and intelligent child with a vivid imagination ... what about the blue hair? Eh? What about that, eh? I MUST be an alien. I'm the same bloody height as David Hasselhof, and he's certainly a bloody alien! What more proof does anyone need?!
