Describe in one sentence or less, on a topic that is meaningful to you.
Examples: Who are you? What is life? What is your belief? Philosophy? An Understanding? Goal?

A Goal: Willingness to dispel all that is unreal

PS Comments are welcomed. CHALLENGE yourself to keep them short as well.

Great topic. This is what I would like to add:

Learning to be unjudgemental is very difficult and is my mission because being unjudgemental is being willing to not judge someone for being judgemental, now THAT is the challenge, but it is a goal that could heal the world.

Roman that's such a heartfelt story. I've book marked the threat and will check out other posts and links you provided. And for the record, I agree: I choose heart over intellect any day.

    Respectfully,
    Paula
In one sentence a slightly different nuance: With my intellect I choose what I draw for my heart to experience?

    UT
Hello and thank you, UT. It's my understanding that you are saying that it first comes from the intellect and then the heart takes it from there? I've lived that, too.

I’m a work in progress these days. I live from heart and feelings, but the secret is to recycle them when needed. I ask questions from my heart and then a picture pops up in the brain and the intellect chews on it for a bit. So it’s more of a blending of heart and head. The newest understanding is that there’s a thinking partner right there in my heart. The challenge is to live within my heart. What I am discovering is clarity, silence and invention of ideas. Still a work in progress, but living with spontaneous thoughts and ideas and action on them. I’m finding that it’s both challenging and rewarding for someone that once thought life needed to be mapped out on the 24/7 grid.

    Respectfully,
    WhiteCrowBlackDeer

Conundrum. It's my #1 challenge. If I'm not sitting in awareness, I hit the trip wire.

Seeing the love in others, puts my ego to pasture. How do I do this for myself: raise above the rabble and babble of my knocked about, self inflicted lower dimensional selves to breathe as myself, who I really am? With less noise, my quest is to love who I am in my heart - that´s who I want to be.

Hmm.. I like it, let's see.. The purpose of Life in one sentence.

To remain steadfast in seeking the Truth, to maintain wonder amidst disillusion, and to stretch your heart (and flex your mind) to reach out to those things familiar and unfamiliar in hopes of expanding your awareness in order to actualize that spirituality which is beyond the flesh.

The caviat is that there is no spoon, nevertheless, stay grounded.

My question: Is the "ultimate" purpose of Life a backdrop purpose, or should it remain in the forefront? I suppose it doesn't matter when the juxtapostition dissolves between ultimate universal purpose and individual selfish purpose. Oh, maybe I like that one better..

To be mindful of the crinkled contrast delineating the Ultimate scheme of things from individualized purpose, to respect it, and appreciate that when the time comes to erase that line, you must be prepared.

    Preparedness.

    Haha fun thread.

    Thanks,

    Vivek

This quote really struck a chord with me about being judgmental…

"The minute we judge others for their faults or shortcomings, we are displaying a similar shortcoming in ourselves. We don't have the knowledge to judge people accurately here. Only God knows the heart of man, and only God can judge perfectly. He knows our spirits; we see only temporary strengths and weaknesses. Because of our own limitations, we can seldom look into the heart of man." -Betty Eadie
