    Default Singing Plants at Damanhur

I've always believed in the intelligence of plants, but this is even more amazing. These plants are composing their own music! What beautiful music it is, too! I love their taste in music....

I have a story about an almost dead plant someone gave me (maybe given as a joke. Idk...) But everyday, I watered it, talked to it, encouraged it. I sent it my good thoughts to it. It didn't take longer than a week when it came to life with new leaves. In 2 weeks it flourished on my desk. The person who gave it to me in the first place was shocked.

    Plants are amazing people!

p.s. Maia, In the title of your thread you left out the D in DAMANHUR. Don't know if you can correct this.

My daughter conducted an experiment for her 11th grade science project. She cared for three sets of 2 plants each. One set was cared for in the best way. She spoke lovingly to it and "petted" it. The second set was simply watered and fed. Nothing special. The third set was watered and fed exactly like sets one and two, except that she blasted it with harsh and hateful talk. As time went by she took note of each sets growth and health. Can you predict which set fared best? Wrong, if you said set one. The set to which she spewed hate at thrived best!

We were confused, not getting the expected results. Then she had an insight. "Dad, I always felt so bad speaking badly to the plants in set three and truly felt sorry for them". "I grew to dislike set one, because it got all the attention". Wow! Her true intentions were revealed in the final results.

Plants do respond and are intelligent. She got an A+ and an invite to the next level of competition.

    Hey mate,

Looks like she´s plugged a piezoelectric pickup on the leaf, connected to a synthesizer module.

It´s a very interesting experiment, but, from my experience with synthesizers, piezo pickups, and all sorts of crazy musical experimentation, anything that conducts electricity should be able to emit signals that would be interpreted by the synthesizer as musical notes.

If you plugged that pickup to your finger, it would also generate signals reproduced as music by the synthesizer , which doesn´t mean that your body is deliberately composing the music.

As I´ve said, this is an interesting experiment, but should be reproduced in different conditions and with different subjects in order to be conclusive.

    Cheers,

    Raf.

The house is on fire, the fire alarm is ringing, you can smell the smoke, you can feel the heat, but somehow, refuse to get out of the bed and do anything about it; Maybe you´re just scared, maybe you believe the fire is an illusion, or maybe you´re just waiting for a miracle to save you...Eventually, you die. So, what is it worth to be "awake" if you don´t get out of the bed and do something?

There are two models of the device. One was designed here and one is being worked on in partnership with a group of people in the United States (still being researched/designed). If you would like more information about the device, you can read an update on this research here: http://www.damanhurblog.com/2012/04/...nts-continues/. In the comments, there is the email address of the main researcher on the project whom you can contact directly.

this is brilliant .. in the Source Field Investigations book but there is some fantastic info on research with plants having 'feelings'.. or responses, and even being connected to people even over distance, if i remember that bit right
