I was just watching "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos. One of Georges guests
was former White House green jobs czar Van Jones.They were discussing who would
be the best VP choice for Mitt Romney. Van Jones stated that he thought
Condoleezza Rice would be an excellent choice for Mitt Romney.

I cannot believe i am going to say this. I agree with Van Jones Analysis. Condoleezza
Rice is an excellent choice, Except I think she is probably overqualified for VP.

1) It doesn't matter what your political beliefs actually are. You committed the sin of saying that someone in the Bush administration was competent and qualified to do their job. And you, by default, accepted the premise that Bush was a legitimate president.....(Yes, even 12 years later, people are still fighting that battle. ) So, yeah, welcome to my world.

As a Republican, I know better go down that road in "mixed" political company. So, if someone hasn't pointed that out, then I'll give you (and others reading this) the message you need to hear.

Just don't go down this road with people, unless you know the crowd is receptive. It's just not worth the headache and frustration trying to explain things to people who aren't interested in hearing what you have to say. Just say No the next time you think this is a good idea. PM someone. (I like politics and I'm willing to consider new ideas) Call someone. Skype someone, but let that someone be someone who's receptive to the idea that anything associated w/GWB or his administration is/was/or could have been a good idea. While you and I realize that you are an unique individual w/an unique belief system, a lot of people (unfortunately) still get defensive/emotional when you mention GWB. It's not rational, but you learn to work around it.

I get that it's fun to tweak people, but it's really frustrating when you sincerely want to present an idea and people just explode on you. From your post, I could tell that you were just trying to present an idea and people started going postal. I know you can take it. Obviously, your avatar is a super-hero, but sometimes, it's just nice to know that you aren't the only one this stuff happens to.

You have to decide how to react and obviously, my remarks are based on how I've chosen to react to the situation. Life is just better and happier and more beautiful when you realize that some people become the evilness they swear that they aren't when talking about GWB and it's just down-right scary. So, I don't go down that road with people unless I know the other person can discuss, not just dump on. (Damn! I so forgot to protect myself before reading/responding to this.....it's hard when things aren't habit)

2) In response to the actual "meat" of the post: I have to admit that I was intrigued by the idea. However, a lot of people in the Party don't want to go down that road. It's not that she's black. It's not that she's a woman. It has nothing to do with her talent because she's not an intellectual light-weight. It's that she worked for Bush. Bush, I think, will be remembered more kindly in the future than he is now. That's why a lot of people are really aren't too thrilled w/the idea of Jeb Bush being nominated at the convention (if it's brokered). He's got the right name/the right pedigree, but a lot of us don't want to relieve GWB. People either don't want to see/ don't care how much animosity there is towards GWB, even from Republicans. A lot of us are tired of the wars and very distrustful of public officials, just like the rest of the population.

Anyway....my 2 cents. Peace.

Democrats and republicans are nothing more than a political game played by unseen forces. Two general emotional/ideological presets for people to identify with. They are really two crime families fighting over who can pull more money and influence into their family. Everything else is smoke and mirrors and needing to belong to something. Bleeding hearts and heartless are how I see the two crime families present themselves. Both parties are just sociopathic at best and psychopathic too often. Identifying with and supporting either party is enabling very sick people.

We get the government we deserve. Our democracy, even when not compromised is little more than mob rule by incompetents and emotionally stunted masses. Much of this is the result of the captains of industry like the Rockefeller's deciding to gut the educational systems that were the backbone of this country in the beginning. Reading Civil War letters by people with 8th grade educations at best reveals an educational system that is better than colleges are today. Especially in the crucial knowledge of English and grammar usage to coherently communicate and understand. ideas.

GWB is an embarrassment by any measurement. Only the current ass kissing loser makes 'W' at least look like a man who had some ability to be his own man. It is like comparing an invertebrate with a vertebrate when talking about spines. I voted for the loser in the WH. He opened my eyes to a system that only exists in a make-believe way. I can thank him for that, and that alone. They are all criminals or accomplices to crime. Anything else is total BS.

Foreign policy credentials based on what? Secretary of State of an Imperial nation? She was the iron fist in the velvet glove. The USA has no coherent foreign policy or any policy at all. What is coherent about historical foreign policies that have been followed before with the same imploding results? Both sides of the aisle? You mean both crime families by that. Who cares what criminals respect? Oh, I forgot, we are a nation that give a sh!t what Kim Kardashian ate for supper last night. My bad, I guess we do care what crime families think.

Saying Mitt Romney would be a fool for not picking her is ignoring that he is one of the biggest criminals running for president. The fools are the ones who take him seriously and do not boo him back into his limousine every time he tries to exit.
