    Question DMSO... Suggestions?

I know I can go to the States and get it no problem, I just do not know when I would be going there again...

So I am trying to find 99.9% roll-on DMSO in Canada or preferably Quebec. I read somewhere only vets can supply it in Ontario, but I think everybody knows they are the biggest police state in Canada. Just because Ontario hassles about it, doesn't necessarily mean other provinces do.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I'd try to find an online vet supply place and order it for your "horse".

    G'day happyexpat,

If all else fails, you can purchase DMSO here in Oz:

    All the Best,

Gawd we used to go to Canada and get it when we couldn't get in the States. They sell it at farm supply and livestock retail stores here. Did you check with stores like that in Canada. We get a lot of Vet medicine , shots, things like that at Farm Supply places here that one wouldn't normally think about getting without a vet like DMSO. Still there they are.

Otherwise someone could probably send you some via mail. Plus you can order it online.

DMSO is absorbed directly through your skin and some believe it has shown to improve joint problems. It also tends to make your breath have a certain odor and mouth have an artichoke taste. It can be irritating to the skin as well, so one must be careful in it's application and strength. I have seen a lame horse get well very fast by using DMSO. I have used it on my knees. I am not willing to use it long term though, but when my knees were in a great deal of pain back when I played tennis nearly 24/7 it helped a lot. You can google it and do your own research which is what I always recommend.

All true, but it does so, so much more. One of it best properties is that it carries whatever is mixed with it. For example, I have used MMS several times for inflamed gums/teeth. It always works, but may take a day or so (but much faster than anti-biotics). The last time this inflammation occured I put the MMS on the tooth and then placed one drop of DMSO on the tooth. Within 10 seconds the pain was gone. Within 20 minutes the swelling and redness was completely gone.

DMSO can be taken internally as well, for many different issues.

Well I alluded to it when I said it was absorbed through the skin, but I did not want to give anyone any nefarious ideas just in case

As a person who used to use DMSO on animals and who used to fill it into smaller recepticals for sale to the public, Please be extreemly carefull when using this product.. It is absorbed through the skin so quickly that in humans it can and will shut down your kidneys in minutes of application (should you overdose yourself, anyone who takes it internally should think twice, one drop may not kill you instantly but trust me when i say your kidneys will take the brunt of the damage from overusage and over exposure )..
It is safer to use on animals ( mainly horses, for arthritis and joint issues) because they have larger organs and can process its toxicity better.. It is not so safe for human use, use it sparingly and with gloves and avoid taking it internally, it is not used in hospitals or clinics to aid in delivering medication because it is toxic to your organs.
P.S. The Sticker i Used to put on the outside of my 4L DMSO jugs to be sold to the public had the scull and cross bones on it and a toxicity warning this was years ago, But like aspertame the FDA may think its an okay soft kill now and not label it like it should be.......

They should be able to ship to Canada. DMSO is legal in Canada so the product should not have any issues at the border. You should also contact one of the local health stores in Ontario, they should be able to order it for you also.

Good luck. Be careful using it.

Just a bit of info for those that are thinking of using DMSO and are in the process of some kind of mercury chelation.
DMSO should absolutely not be used in patients that have any mercury as it may mobilize mercury and stir it around causing further damage. It’s not a chelating agent in the proper sense and thus causes an increase in toxic damage from this mobilized mercury. Some patients who are low in magnesium and not sensitive to DMSO may receive some relief from a magnesium and DMSO cream from transdermal absorption but a LOT of it must be used.

Thanks for that helpful information, Douglas Danger! I knew that I must really be careful with DMSO but had no idea about the dangers of taking it internally (though I never planned to do so I know of people who have done so).

DMSO is something that one must really READ UP ON before using. This is terribly important. For instance if you put some on your arm and then put on clothes with dye in them that touch your still-wet skin that DMSO will "deliver" the dyes into your body. Besides having some active abilities itself, DMSO is also very good for "driving in" other things -- such as liquid zeolites for example or zinc. My understanding is that one should probably NOT use it in conjunction with silver (or colloidal silver, angstrom silver, etc.). If you put too much on it can also burn you.

If you cannot get some books on it to study first, Google it on the web and really read up on it before using. It can be miraculous -- but it really needs to be treated with great respect and care.

If you are doing anything that migh mobilize mercury just take 1000 mg of chlorella a day, 500mg am and 500mg pm, or more if you like cause the stuff is really good for you. This will carry mercury out of the body and should be taken during any chelation process for heavy metals.. you want that stuff mobilzed and moved out.

    From Dr. Frank Shallenberger:

DMSO, short for dimethyl sulfoxide, is not a naturally occurring substance. It’s a chemical solvent that’s a byproduct of the paper industry. It is FDA approved for use in the treatment of only one disorder — an auto-immune disorder called interstitial cystitis. However, I’ve used it successfully for all sorts of auto-immune disorders.

For an excellent description of DMSO and how it has been used over the years, I recommend a book called, DMSO — Nature’s Healer by Morton Walker.

DMSO has several well-known properties. It dramatically improves circulation. Even in experimental conditions where researchers reduce the blood flow, it is able to normalize circulation. This property is especially valuable in the treatment of polymyalgia, because decreased circulation is a primary cause of muscle pain.
DMSO is also a potent anti-inflammatory. Studies have shown that whether it’s taken intravenously, orally, or topically, this remarkable substance dramatically eliminates inflammation — and with none of the dangers so commonly seen with anti-inflammatory medications. And when the inflammation goes, the pain goes.

Lastly, DMSO is a strong antioxidant. Studies show that DMSO increases the amount of all of the antioxidant enzymes including SOD, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase. This is important in patients with polymyalgia, because the disease always depletes these critical enzymes. And a lack of antioxidant enzymes is a fundamental cause of the inflammatory process.

This antioxidant property of DMSO is also why it’s particularly valuable when used with hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidant treatment. When it’s applied to a patient who has a lack of antioxidant enzymes, it’s smart to add DMSO. The DMSO will balance out the oxidant actions of the hydrogen peroxide. The two treatments are truly synergistic in every way.

When I took Dr Shallenbergers seminar I met a doc there that was using DMSO via IV with H202. The dosage was 2.5 cc. More recently I saw a testimonial of someone who was drinking it. I will have to look around for that info. He made some youtube videos on his experience.
