Default Timeshare Doomsday shelters $50K WOW

Please embed for me, someone if you can figure it out, if possible. This is a new video from MSNBC interviewing the promoter, including photos of the "military constructed" shelters for time share sale to the American public. Adults must pay $50,000 and $25,000 for children. This is amazing. Apparently, their site has a countdown clock to Dec. 21, 2012. Sheesh.

You should ask on the website...I'm curious as to whether they have taken that into consideration. Of course, it's easy for me to say, "you ask" isn't it? I don't want to start a dialogue and have them think I'm at all interested. I'll take my chances right here in my woods, thanks.

    Hi Linda B.
Thanks for the video. It makes me ponder the question, if I had the funds would I go into one of those underground bunkers.
    Would you ?
    Blessings,
    Yiola

Aha, the proverbial cocktail party question. It has replaced "what would you do if you won the lottery?" Apropos the changing mindset, no? To answer your question in a word, no. I wouldn't want to be stuck in unnatural air for any length of time. Also, how would they grow fresh food? Not to mention the social issues. A hundred people in that space? No, thanks. Unless they were Greeks and had a great attitude and sense of humor, right? Would we be able to bring art supplies? What about the state of the land after the group surfaces? A post nuke world would not be worth waiting for...so we just aren't going to let that happen. The Republicans are beating the drums of war here to the point that it makes me physically ill just to read the news. The Americans are being made to believe that if they don't support bombing Iran and Korea, they are not patriots, and that they are risking losing the War on Terror, whatever THAT is. There are a lot of risks involved in living on this planet. I don't know if a bunker is the answer because I'm declaring that none of the nasty scenarios will ever manifest. I'm a supporter of righteous anger changing the future of the world. A non-violent revolution is underway. I'll take my chances above ground, minding my own business. How about you? Does it feel particularly vulnerable in Greece? We don't get much news here...there is a media controlled blackout, as you know. After having lived in Europe, I can tell you that Americans are so ill-informed that forums are the only way to find out anything...talk radio has become highly sensationalist for the most part, and is becoming a waste of time. What newspapers in English do you read? Thanks.

Well Linda, before my awakening when I lived in Northern Virginia I read every newspaper and news magazine I could get my hands on. I had WMAL 24 hour news/talk on he radio day and night. I was also a CNN and weather channel junkie. Then one night I heard coast to coast on WMAL and the rest is history. I learned that the real news is not in the newspapers or the nightly news on t.v.

Here in Cyprus, the local English language papers are carbon copies of what you have in the States. Fortunately though the Greek papers spell it out as it is, so I get both sides of the story without the 'war on terror' patriotic hype. But alas, the papers here are so full of political squabbling that I've stopped reading them as well.

As far as feeling vulnerable to the drum beat of international war, unfortunately Cyprus is just a stone's throw away from the hot spots in the middle east. Plus you really can't run too far when you live on an island. It's easier though to be self sufficient and provide for family and friends without worrying about hundreds of thousands of people stampeding through your property . I think the only thing that might worry me is if there was a nuclear confrontation in the region because of the proximity to Israel. But then again the winds blow from west to east, so it might be survivable.

As for the question of going into a bunker or not, for some reason I have had a vision of riding out the end of 2012 ( that is, if we make it until then) above ground with family. Probably in a rented cabin up in the mountains. I believe in ‘God helps those who help themselves’ so I have steadily been accumulating homesteading and survival items and skills. Nothing major mind you,
Fist aid supplies, seeds and tools. I always have plenty of dried lentils, pasta and grains any way. I agree with you in that I could not be stuck underground like a rat with a bunch of strangers. I enjoy having a smoke (cigarette) and a glass of wine at the end of the evening. Furthermore, I think it is more fitting to ride it out on my beloved earth with her trees and running streams, and what ever happens… happens.

    What about you ?
    Blessings,
    Yiola

Yes, a cig and a glass of something to relax...considering everything that we have to ponder it's not much to ask, right? Yes, I'll take my woods and creeks and ride out the upcoming events right where I am. If I would "save" anyone in a bunker, I'd guess there are people I'd pay $50k for first, instead of me, anyway. Ah, well, we can go over it and over it in our minds, but the truth is, we don't know what will happen. A rental cabin sounds like a great idea, Yiola. Trust your intuition and take off when you feel the need. Do you have anything lined up in advance? I bought a cabin, actually have had two small mountain cabins as weekend places, but now I'm full time. It is very calming to be away from a city with millions of people. Last place I want to be is in that mix. You are fortunate to be where you are...I'm sure it's absolutely gorgeous. I know I've live(d) there before, maybe not exactly on Cyprus, but somewhere nearby. I was part of a university study in hypnosis a few years back, and a professional who was doing her doctorate took me to a couple of lifetimes...the better of the two was on a Greek coastline. We rode in small wooden boats and lived in marble houses...open air courtyards, beautiful frescoes. I remember making urns (pottery) as my vocation, and seeing brilliant sun. What a life! I remember smelling the unpolluted air and thinking that it was paradise. Anyway, what a time we are living in...too much power in the hands of a few who could really screw things up forever. I keep focusing on what's beautiful and contemplating whether or not I've hoarded enough pasta. What am I gonna do if I run out of cigs, ha ha.

The mind is a wonderful thing when it can conjure up as many questions as there are people scheduled to live in one of those bunkers.

Who does the cooking? Who does the cleaning? All women want answers to these questions. How are the purchasers screened...or are they? Just because someone is able to afford the price, they are strangers. What if there are pedophiles and rapists and people without morals or souls just looking for an opportunity?

We have free doomsday shelters.......they're called caves.

I much rather be by myself in a cave and run the risk of expansion beyond any means imaginable through death, than have to live with a bunch of scared, unhappy people.

I don't want to have to be the guy in the Fallout video game and have to kill the manager of the society because he's corrupt and then have a bunch of brainwashed people try to kill me.
Today a man on acid realized that all of matter is merely energy condensed into a slow moving vibration, that we are all one, and there is no such thing as death. Life is but a dream.

Hi, Snowbird and Decibellistics: The shelter as a concept socially is a great platform for improvisational scene creation. As a theater director and producer, and playwright, my mind fills with ideas. Thing is, that one's too easy, almost. Can't think of much that I'd want to write about. So negative. I realize that drama is a conflct that is acted out, but I don't know if the conflicts are what I even want to think about. Has anyone ever done this as a script? or screenplay? that you know of? Could you imagine what the Avalon folks could come up with? Hmmm.

Don't go underground if the problem is water!

Oh boy, and the man says it is not fear mongering! It's not fear mongering, its worse, it's fear buisness!

Steven, I just had a thought. What if these ARE actually military made (and abandoned) for a very good reason...they know that the shelters are not the answer anymore. Timeline change?

Possible dear, I don't know. There are people always at the corner to make profits under the motivation of fear in our future. It's all over the net. It is amazing the amount of catastrophe predicted in 2012. Pole shift, planet X, nuclear war, economical crash where we will kill to survive, mega volcano eruption, ice age, etc...

Every single catastrophe mentionned above has been posted here on Avalon with facts and scientific datas! Lol, well, whats the accuracy of the datas? Can we dig a bit more before linking the end of the world to 2012? It's ridiculous to notice the erronous scientifical facts circulating the web as 'evidence'. But, it's certainly selling...

I know we are changing, the human is really changing. Its consciousness evolves, enlarges the perspective. This weekend, I talked to my aunt about alien presence in our history, and she didnt make a heart attack! To the contrary, she was totally interested! So, yes, it will create great change in our 'direction'. A change in consciousness brings a change in reality. We are living in great time of change, thats for sure and the best is to come.

    Namaste, Steven

I think it funny that it's a time share. If nothing happens during the crunch time you can always hole up for a couple of weeks a year for your hols.
I imagine that December 2012 must be quite tight to fit in.

    $50,000 for a 1/200th share in bunker.

    Then even if you actually manage to get in, when necessary, there's;
    The committee on approved food,
The committee on allowing cheap cigar smoking in the lounge,
The committee to discover who left the tofu out of the fridge last night,
The committee on what to do with the ungodly smell, since you can't open windows,
The committee on too many committees (Al Gore presiding),

Then there's all that worrying over its resale value come Jan 15, 2013 when, of all things...
The sun comes up just like it did yesterday.
    Fred

Yes, Fred, keep 'em coming! I like the approved food committee the most...what if potato chips were banned? Could you get busted for crunching? Or, what if the rules prohibited cookies and ice cream? Would there be people sneaking food into the shelter with them just before they close the doors? Are there secret rooms for the elite subscribers and their specific hoarding? This is almost like Survivor and Lost, with a sicko twist to it. Could they throw people out into the chaos and doom just for popping out a Twinkie package? Will there be weigh-ins? I could write this stuff for days...
