Megalithomania Glastonbury 2012

Ive just attended the meglilithomania event at Glastonbury and would like to share the experience.
The event as far as I could tell was a sell out with not an empty chair in the house, and it ran like clockwork ,with Hugh Newman and his dedicated team making sure everyone was well informed and everyone’s needs catered for.
Brien Forester did a superb talk on Saturday afternoon, concerning the elongated skulls that are in his museum in Peru and at the very end of his talk he divulged that some of these skulls have 4 less teeth and they aren’t on the human dna data base. That got the crowd buzzing.
Keynote speaker for Saturday night was Michael Cremo , I was a little disappointed as the talk he gave centred on him talking at different venues around the world and not so much about the out of place artefact’s although he did produce a rabbit out of the hat when he showed the crowd a piece of amber that had been dated to 45,000 bc with an intricate piece of woven material in the centre.
Now let me tell you about Klaus Dona who was due to speak on Sunday, I had introduced myself the day before and I would find myself outside with Klaus after every speaker and we had some fascinating conversations concerning Robert Temple’s and professor Ioannis Liritzis new dating method for stones that have been placed together , out of place artefacts (ooparts) and new discoveries that are waiting to be uncovered.
Personally I found Klaus an extraordinarily humble man who didn’t crave superstar status and who would listen and give a measured answer to some of my dafter questions.
So now we come to Sunday afternoon and again outside in between speakers, I spot Michael Cremo and I decide to introduce myself, we have a chat and the subject goes onto giant bones on which Michael states that although he has heard all the rumours he has yet to see any evidence.
I asked him if he had met Klaus and I then proceeded to introduce them to each other , and then I stood back and listened. I found it to be one of those privileged moments when two researchers at the top of their game swop information and when Michael asked if Klaus had any evidence of the bones he was describing and Klaus invited him over to Austria to see for himself you could see Michael was taken aback, and I do hope he takes up the offer.
Klaus then went on stage and gave one of the best talks I have ever seen, it was breath-taking and had the whole audience shouting for more even though he had run over his time, as for me, I waited for Klaus outside were I congratulated him waited 10 minutes for the guys at megalithicmania to put the talk onto a dvd and left for the long journey home.
All in all a superb weekend event , were I have made many new friends and on the back of speaking to Klaus , I find myself drawn to a new discovery that has yet to be revealed , which needs to be fully documented , with archaeologists and a film crew so there can be no de bunking……………….more on that another time.

I am glad some of you got to go there this year, I could not make it myself this year as other things came in the way.
