    -UPDATE-

2011/2012 - 11/11/11 stargate portal: Georgi Stankov, among many others characters, predicted that in 11/11/2011 some sort of portal would be opened.

At the "stargate 11.11.11" this merging of our energy fields with the higher frequency realms would alllow the delegating of our three lower chakras to the energetic field of Gaia and raising one million-fold the intensity of our body fields, thus transforming the old carbon based body into a crystalline light body.

Nothing happened, just like nothing happened at 11/11/0011, 11/11/1111, 11/11/1711, 11/11/1911 and so on. Then, "the initial cosmic plan for the End Time scenario was radically altered. "On February 26, 2012 the decision was taken that the new plan will begin with the last act – the completion of the crystalline grid."

Than, he also predicted that "around full moon (March 8, 2012), we would experience an enormous surge in power in our personal energetic fields. The reason for this will be that around March 8, the crystalline 144-grid, which we helped to build quicker than anticipated after our decision to prolong our soul contacts and stay longer on earth than planned, would be fully implemented and will be boosted to its full power. The crystalline 144-grid would make use of this favourable energetic constellation and its power would be amplified one million times..."

    Nothing happened as well.

The house is on fire, the fire alarm is ringing, you can smell the smoke, you can feel the heat, but somehow, refuse to get out of the bed and do anything about it; Maybe youīre just scared, maybe you believe the fire is an illusion, or maybe youīre just waiting for a miracle to save you...Eventually, you die. So, what is it worth to be "awake" if you donīt get out of the bed and do something?

Meat, are you seeing the prediction phenomena as a means of control? I have often thought that. Time after time in the last year we have seen a variety of catastrophic predictions. I have often thought is that they are targeting people who may question or are aware and creating a massive smoke screen. It is to the point that when these predictions are made I start looking for what they are trying to cover up.

    Hey mate,

In my opinion, this whole prediction phenomenon would end up as a great psychology thesis.

It has become a hysteria epidemic, specially in forums like this.

There are so many reasons why people love predictions:

-People are fascinated with time, while, at the same time, completely lost in it, because the way we perceive time is completely inaccurate. So people always want to know the future.
-One of the greatest mysteries of life is death; people are fascinated with it and love to speculate about it.
-Peopleīs lives are too tedious. They actually donīt want to know the truth; they want to spice their lives with fantastic stories and epic adventures/possibilities.
-Lying to ourselves allow us to be creative and to live in fantasy; the truth is often too uncomfortable.
    -etc...

Now, some reasons people make predictions:

-First, because we canīt accept the FACT that we donīt have control over our future, even the next second of our lives.
-Second, because we are always attracted to death and fascinated with the fear of the unknown.
-Then, some people discovered that a lot of money can be made out of predictions, like our friend David Wilcock and many others. People donīt care if the predictions are accurate, as long as they keep them coming...
-Some other persons are simply delusional and actually believe their predictions are accurate.
-Some people are just narcissistic and are always looking for their 15 minutes of fame.
-Others persons might make predictions as part of psy-ops perpetrated by the governments, to keep people alienated from reality.
    -etc...

    Cheers,

    Raf.

interesting question Cartomancer, certainly this becomes interesting when you see people become followers of some guru type and stay followers even when the gurus predictions dont come true. it would be a selection process then where only blind gullible types are staying in the cult to be exploited.....

    -UPDATE-

2008 - Blossom Goodchild October, 14th 2008, Channelling the GFL:

"We wish it to be understood that on the 14th day of your month of October in the year 2008 a craft of great size shall be visible within your skies. It shall be in the south of your hemisphere and it shall scan over many of your states..."

Blossom’s most recent book “The Bridge” documents the messages channeled to her by the Cosmic Beings known as The Federation of Light. In her most recent encounters with them they have announced that one of their craft will appear in our skies on October 14th 2008 for a period of three days in such a way as to prove to us the existence of other life forms in the Universe. The Federation of Light stress that they come in LOVE to help us and our planet move to a new Higher Vibration of Love. They have asked Blossom to get this message out to as many people as possible…

    Never happened...

    2008 - end of December:

Lots of UFO's over lots of major cities by prophet Yahweh. Never happened.

2011 - Oct 28 - End of mayan calendar by Carl Calleman:

We have all heard the current ‘popular’ date for the end of the Mayan Calendar – December 21st 2012. But further research led Calleman to claim, after setting some other dates, that the legitimate date for the end of the Mayan Calendar would be October 28th 2011.

I donīt know about the calendar, but nothing happened on that date.

    Hi there,

One thing that comes to mind when reading this thread, is that when one invests energy in a prediction, one's point of focus is away from the 'here and now'.
One hangs out of his/hers body so to speak.
Waiting for this event to happen.
This might be the reason for TPTB for showering us with so many predictions.

When we (the people) have our energies invested in predictions that never come true, we have less energy to invest in what really matters, namely, becoming awake.

    just a thought...

    Pease,

For me, itīs proved that Wilcock is a charlatan. He makes a living out of predictions that never happen and has a great record of them to be verified.

However, If someone still wants to believe him after about 15 years of charlatanism, well, I canīt do nothing about it.

I'd like to point out that some of these predictions, if energy is the truest manifestation there is, may be predicted out into the public domain as a way to combat them from happening. A kind of counter-intuitive measure. I'm not saying that's the case with all predictions, but I think that idea needs some credence on this thread.

Thanks for starting this one, Raf.

    Hey mate,

Please, donīt give these folks more ideas!

This would be the ultimate excuse for every charlatan in the world, if they start claiming it.

"Oh, I predicted XXXXX ( and earned a lot of money selling my books and dvds) because I knew that a false prediction about XXXXX would actually avoid it to happen!"

Itīs not hard to imagine any of those folks saying it, is it?

    Cheers,

I have learned a new word today, it's "Catastrophobia". Its a phobia for catastrophe and is mostly caused by doomsday prophesy or in a more popular term: fear porn.

8 Charity [Love] never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
~ If nothing changes then nothing changes ~

    Cheers,

    Raf.
I wasn't thinking about it like that. I see what you're saying. However, someone who would put a prediction out there to throw off TPTB's plans (if that was their only purpose for making the claim) I highly doubt would then try to make excuses for why their prediction didn't come true.

I'm all for the exposing of charlatans but just as there are actual black hats posing as white hats, there are white hats posing as black hats. Round and round we go.

I perfectly love predictions - they absolutely guarantee me a warm, fuzzy, comfy night's sleep since I can know for certain that the mere publication of a prediction somehow magically guarantees that it will not happen.

I call it "quantum pushback": the universe is perversely creative and will reject the obvious outcome.

I love predictions. Keep 'em coming.

    Great list, Raf.

    Cheers,

    Selene

Thank you Raf, This is the tip of the iceberg !!!

Millenialism, (the belief we are in the end days) has been going on for centuries, and is still going on.

Another one for the list ...

1975 - This was the year of armageddon predicted by the Jehovah's witnesses. There was no questioning (I mean, the church leaders just had to be right).

Throughout the 90s, I was a regular subscriber to various new-age type magazines, all of which had "professional" astrologers, all of whom predicted all manner of things, none of which ever materialised ! The excuse cired in previous posts "by making it public, we stopped it from happening" is accompanied by another type of excuse, "the energies/vibrations have changed, but maybe you aren't as sensitive to these things as me", which of course is completely unverifiable !
