I've been to Belgium last friday to visit a presentation of
former Prime Minister of the Netherlands (1977-1982) Dries van Agt.

Even though I had to drive three hours with a lot of holiday traffic
jams I was glad I was there listening to Dries van Agt. In the days
he was Prime Minister he was pro-Israel, because as he said everyone
was pro-Israel.

By going to Israel himself when he was a retired politician he found out
the Truth was a little bit different than they have told him. He told a
story of a Palestinian student having an exam, but first he had to go
through four different checkpoints. He passed the first one, the second
one went well, the third one too and finally at the last one they told him
to stay in the car. So he stayed in the car and than they told him to
climb out of the car through the window. He fell hard on the asphalt.
Than they told him to stand on his hands and feet. After protesting
for a while he was finally standing with his hands and feet on the asphalt.
Finally they asked the 20 year old boy to bark like a dog! Again he first
resisted, but after a while he barked like a dog. The tough guys with
their machine guns said: "I told you the Palestinians are all dogs".
He found out it wasn't just an accidence, but those things were
happening everywhere. After that he had a totally different look
at the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

At the age of 81 he admits he was wrong and
now he is fighting for the Palestinian people.

This interview with Marcel Messing and conducted by Lilou Mace is tremendously good!
This interview is timely right now in October 2012.
Please consider taking the time to watch it. I can't think of another interview that I would recommend more highly.
And worthy of it's own thread imho.

ps2 please do not under-estimate the work of this woman -Lilou Mace- just because of her jovial-ness and light-heartedness.
She is the real deal.
