Default How to: Make Your Own Hygeine Products....

You've got to try it for yourself to see how much better it is than store-bought stuff. People constantly rave that their hair, teeth, and skin are healthier than they've ever been after doing this. Will save you a lot of money too.

    Toothpaste
    ~Coconut Oil
    ~Hydrogen Peroxide (Food Grade 3-8%)
~Baking Soda (Aluminum free is best)
    ~Xylitol or Stevia
    ~Essential oil (mint, orange, whatever)
    ~Sea salt

    Deodorant
~Baking Soda (Aluminum free is best)
    ~Water
Dab it under your arms. 24 hour protection, zero body odor (I'm a man).
~Optional: mix coconut oil and baking soda together

    Shampoo
    ~Baking Soda
    ~Water
~Vinegar (raw apple cider is best)
Mix baking baking soda with water 1:4 - 1:6 in an old shampoo container or container of choice. Scrub it in 30 seconds. Mix vinegar and water in spray-bottle or shampoo bottle 1:4. Add to hair for 20 seconds, rinse it out.
The vinegar wont make your hair smelly like you'd think, and it works just like the best conditioners at keeping it soft.

I'll be adding more in the near future. I'm trying to help other people and myself.

KWB, the one thing that comes to mind is a mixture of tumeric, chickpea flour, lemon, and yogurt. The key is the flour and the tumeric, the yogurt and lemon just make it absorb deeper into the pore I suppose. Anyway, the tumeric softens and thins the hair in that area over time and the chickpea flour in addition breaks up the hair. This is the recipe I found online a couple years ago when I was doing research - look into it. You may be able to use rice flour or different flour. You might be able to drop the lemon/yogurt from the recipe. Not an instant solution... more for people who have too much unwanted body hair.

Would waxing work? You can create your own wax by heating sugar. Check into that too.
You could also go chemical and put Nair on it since it's just in that one area and you'd only need a tiny amount.

What I'd suggest to prevent getting these again is shaving with a hair-trimmer. Unless your facial hair looks terrible when it's stubbly, this will save you irritating shaving bumps and that itchy early phase as well as preventing future ingrown hairs. It's also much faster than a razer, no shaving cream necessary, and you can use it to cut your own head hair if you like it short-ish.

not 100% sure on this but pure organic jojoba oil is very good for unclogging pores, it might be helpful??
its about $15 for a small bottle but it lasts .... you only need a few drops.....it can be used for all kinds of hair and skin issues

I used to steam my face with hot water in a bowl and a towel, that got rid of some spots. Also I used to use tea tree oil and I love that stuff it made my skin so soft and clear xxx

great recipe for toothpaste.. my advice is to scratch the stevia and use xylitol. It has been proven to eliminate cavities with regular use.
I brush with xylitol mixed with baking soda and when Im done I leave a little in my mouth for its antibacterial action. Dr Jonathan Wright put out a big article on the wonders of xylitol for your dental health recently.

Hair conditioner: I put 3 to 8 drops (depending on how much hair I have) of Jojoba oil in my hair pre-shampoo. Does the trick.

I would suggest Organic flaxseed oil for skin conditions. I have used it myself and it is a miracle cure for skin in my opinion.

Organic flaxseed oil is high in Omega 3's and can be consumed, but never cooked. It also happens to be the only oil known to the Gerson Therapy that does not stimulate the growth of cancer cells when consumed. All other oils tested do stimulate cancer growth. Not that you have cancer, I'm just throwing that out there.

I tried brushing my teeth with just baking soda & it tasted terrible - like metal! I'll try your recipes - but how long do they keep for? Do you have to mix them up every day or every week?

    My favourite tips are:
    1. to use Sorbitol Soap Substitute for shaving cream. It's gentle & I never get skin irritation with it!!
    2. For bleeding/sore gums use 1 tsp of salt in a little warm water to wash out your mouth - especially before bed-time. I've always found it quickly solves the problem.

Baking soda alone is pretty gross. It doesn't work that well by itself either. I get a small jar with a lid and mix the ingredients in there, I make enough for about 2 or 3 weeks worth. It would keep longer but the hydrogen peroxide loses strength over time and I like it all nice and fresh

Baking soda should not taste like metal. Change your brand. Mostly it is salty in flavor.

Some things I've learned over the years: You can lighten dark blonde hair by adding hydrogen peroxide to your shampoo (mix them together) and washing with the combination. Leave it on for a few minutes; it's subtle but adds up over time. You can stop whenever you want and there's not strong roots showing. Also, hydrogen peroxide put on wet hair and go out in the sun is a fast bleach. Fun when I was a teenager.

The active ingredients in 'Tucks' medicated pads for hemorrhoids or other ummmm...issues.... down in that region is about a 50/50 mix of witch hazel and glycerin, both available in drug stores cheaply.

Caffeine pills are a LOT cheaper than coffee...

If you don't listen to Drake and fail to stock up on toilet paper, you can use water and a natural sponge like the Romans used to to clean off.

Finally, if you find something that works really well but it's expensive, read the ingredients. You pay a lot for them to package stuff up in pretty boxes or capsules... Generic or store brand meds are the same as brand name and can cost a LOT less... don't pay them to advertise and annoy you during dinnertime, buy generic.

Rather than shampoo with all the added chemicals, I use dish detergent. The brand is "Ultra Palmolive". It's phosphate free, has no chlorine bleach, nor unnecessary chemicals like most shampoos have. Also, to get the extra tangles out after shampooing and creme rinsing, add a little bit of your creme rinse to water in a spray bottle. Really cost effective.

Baking soda and lemon is kewl for teeth but has anyone tryed oil pulling?
It does alot more than just cleaning teeth and it proven works from many people responds on it. Feel free to add this technique in list
Apparently it cleans from toxins and helps raise immunity. It works against headaches, tooth pains, bronhitis, chronical blood disseases, paralisis, heart and liver disseases, nerves and lungs problems...
Toxins are great enemy of human body and oil pulling drives them out so its not reccomended to swallow it after cleaning, but for more detailed info check here also:

almoust forgot to add this excelent peeling stuff .. some elders still using that even today around these parts. Good for rubbing on skin while showering. OFC it needs to be raw (non cooked) for proper usage. Dunno really how is this called on former languages, we call it palenta so i found on wiki it says is called polenta

I have been developing a variety of skin cream recipies. I would have you try my antiseptic ointment which contains ozonated olive and hemp oils with neem oil and tea tree essential oil emulsified with colloidal silver and DMSO. I sometimes get some difficult boils on my skin and use this. It's powerful and clears up just about anything. Ozonated olive oil by itself is fantastic and it seems it's not a well known technique.
