Default I have a question about Fingerprints of God

Graham Hancock in his book Fingerprints of God quote:

" The Inventory Stela, as it was called, had been discovered at Giza in the
nineteenth century by the French archaeologist Auguste Mariette. It was
something of a bombshell because its text clearly indicated that both the
Great Sphinx and the Great Pyramid (as well as several other structures
on the plateau) were already in existence long before Khufu came to the
throne. The inscription also referred to Isis as the ‘Mistress of the
Pyramid’, implying that the monument had been dedicated to the
goddess of magic and not to Khufu at all. Finally, there was a strong
suggestion that Khufu’s pyramid might have been one of the three
subsidiary structures alongside the Great Pyramid’s eastern flank. "

But as I google the content of the Inventory Stela it actually says:

"King of Upper and Lower Egypt: Khufu, who is given life. He found the house of Isis, Mistress of the Pyramid, beside the house of the Sphinx of on the north-west of the house of Osiris, Lord of Rosta . He built his pyramid beside the temple of this goddess, and he built a pyramid for the king's daughter Henutsen beside this temple"

So how could Inventory Stela suggested that pyramids were long built before kuhufu ? I don't understand.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Howdy, Airwooz

I interpreted this statement to mean that Khufu actually found the house of Isis that was already there built beside the Sphinx etc.. and that after he discovered the Isis pyramid, he built his beside it.

I've read Fingerprints of the Gods 5 times and am about ready to read it again. Seems like every time I read it, I find something new.. something that answers or creates another question.

    Good luck in your search!

I rarely have to spend more than 4 hours to read a book. It took me weeks to read Fingerprints. I would often get huge migraines. There is so much mind blowing information that I was never taught in school nor was it even hinted at. I am going to read it again after slugging through the Master Game. As a history major, lots of this stuff gives me hours of things to meditate on and often leads to a lucid dreaming that blows my mind.

Basically, how I now feel is that when all this stuff is assembled in one place--there it is right in front of your eyes. Just like 911, do you believe what you see or do your accept what you are told.
    Beware the axis of sanctimony.

Oh my Gosh, NO wonder! A history major??? I can't imagine being a history major and having to believe that history is one way.. chiseled in stone.. and then reading Graham Hancock!!!! You have to turn your whole paradigm around!!! How brilliant is that? Nowadays, I'm so thankful that I was an art major.. good old right brained stuff. Graham Hancock may be stuck in his own little paradigm, but, he does give you food for thought.. Alternative history is my favorite subject..
