Simply ask Paul to change the title to the Baltic Sea Anomaly or something to that effect. He has honored such requests before. I am following this and it helps to remind me that what I am following is not this title.
    Beware the axis of sanctimony.

Peter Lindberg's update on the FB group

    "Peter Lindberg

Hello friends, I have not written anything here in a while, can maybe be explained by the fact that I have really been out there... I will drop you some of my believes:

    1. I do not believe that the circle is a wreckage of an flying craft from WWII till rescent time (or from some thousands of year back for that matter)

    2. I do not believe the circle is a wreckage of any kind of known floating vessels from the past or from modern time.

    3. I do not belive the cicle is a construction made by someone efter the ice age (submarine bases etc included).

    4. I do belive the surface of the circle is made of mineral.

    5. I do belive that the surface looks like concrete through the ROV camera but I do not belive it's made of concrete.

    6. I do belive that the very strait lines and angular formations we can see on the side scan sonar image from last year really excists. The odd thing is that I thought, before this expedition that when we could get close these shapes maybe should appear not being so straight as on the side scan sonar image, in reality they are even straighter! It really looks like constructed parts on the circle.

    7. I do belive it might have been volcanic activity in the area and even on (or in) the circle after the ice age, or before, but then it do not fit with what we know about the ice age.

    8. I do belive that the circle "rests" on top of what looks like an pilar of rock, raising approx 8 meters above the surrounding bottom. The circle it self appears to be approx 4 meters thick. In other words, the top of the circle raises 12 meters above the surrounding bottom.

    9. I do belive we must find out on the next expedition if the circle and the pilar are fixed in one piece or if they are sepparated in some way.

    10. I do belive that the path, or the track, is a ridge raising slowly up from the bottom to a hight of approx 8 meters above the surrounding bottom. I also belive that the ridge is made of softer material than the pilar and the circle.

What I do not belive because I know, is the fact that we found a round hole approx 25 cm in diamater going straight into the surface of the circle, how odd is not that? How deep? No idea, we just saw it for some seconds before we decided to back off to preserv the visibility for the divers that was going down later on. They did not find the hole though. It might be some more holes, at this moment we do not know.

Well some comments on that before I continue with some more belives.

    Cheers"

so no ufo, sorry but still very interesting though... http://www.examiner.com/article/whit...ign-right-next

"It looks like something that may very well have been an island in the distant past, in what was then a shallow sea. And which had been in use and then when the glaciers melted and the sea levels rose dramatically 14,000 years ago it was inundated and the remains left there could be a really, really valuable archaeological find."

    Online Facebook discussion:
Peter Lindberg Regarding the "remote viewing": Yes, the last guy gives quite a spooky resembling explanation. Maybe he's right if we find any more holes
Peter Lindberg No there is no golden arches, I have explained that the "top" of the other object looks like the top of two church window arches.
Peter Lindberg More pictures will come, a still picture from the video sequence of the hole has been released to the press to day.
Peter Lindberg ?3D Multibeam sonar data take a while to process. It will not be untill end of next week we will be able to seee the first 3D images from the area. I have seen the raw data though and if what I have seen will be confirmed by the finnished result we will get some quite amazing facts to think about.
Peter Lindberg Jerry: More pictures will come, no more diver taken pictures though, not before untill next expedition. The production company is right now working with the ROV films and still pictures from them will be released.
Peter Lindberg They do not know about all we have seen with the ROV. It take some time to tape everything over to a format with which they can use, and people have their working hours. I think though that they must be like 10 persons working with this now.
Peter Lindberg Kevin: We have recovered two loose stones laying on the circle
Peter Lindberg Peder: They are doing lab tests on the stones right now. But I think we will find that they are made of quite common minerals. I believe that since there is loose stones laying on the circle the circle must be from pre-ice age. The ice has dropped the stones when it melted away.
Peter Lindberg Damian: The strange about the cloud is that it looked like a very distinct "plume" of something that catched the echo sounder beams so hard that it looked like a big rock hoovering in midwater, above the "volcano". I think we might have found something which is active in the way of like a "black smooker" or that maybe heated water is jetting out under high pressure. But this was not in the area of the circle, this volcano was found many miles away. We will certanly go back and try to find out if the "plume" just was a very densed shool of fish or something else.
Peter Lindberg The pillar is thicker than on Pauls artistic drawing, the circle might be like 1-4 meters wider than the pillar.
Peter Lindberg Adam: It might be like that, I do not know but if I must bet my money on something I would go for the possibility that the circle is of pre-ice age - age.
Peter Lindberg Yann: 99% a natural formation, unique in its kind though, and also that we have found an area in the Baltic with volcanic activity. And the last percent? Well 0.9 % that it is remains from an ancient civilisation and 0.1 % that some aliens took an asteroid and made a space craft out of it. As someone asked me: Who have decided that an alien space craft must be made of somekind of metall...?
Peter Lindberg Peder: Vi har ingen aning om hur hålet har kommit till, det är väldigt runt dock... We have no idea how the hole was created, it is very round though...
Peter Lindberg Matthew: The divers said that a "blackish" powder had attract to the camera, I did not see it my self though. An other thing is that we could not use the satelite phone when we where laying above the circle, but just some tenth of meters off postion the phone worked. i do not know why but it is a fact. Further more, the video camera's lights blow when the diver started them up on the surface when testing them before dive # 2. They decided anyway to bring the video camera with them and try to use their ordinary lights to iluminate for the video. When they decended the video camera started to showing an "error" message on the small monitor. The diver restarted the camera several times and finnaly it seamed to work. So he filmed their dive but nothing was on the tape when waching it afterwards. The only problem we had with the ROV was that we constantly had to restart the sonar. Finally it did not work and we continued with just the video camera. When we left the circle we went to a wreck and spent like 35 hour of ROV flying on the wreck and the sonar worked all the time. Magnetic disturbances, well you tell me!
Peter Lindberg Someone asked about what temperature we had down there. Well the divers thermometer showed -1 degree Celsius when they were on top of the circle, it should be +4 degree Celsius. The thermometer may have showing a wronly value of course.
Peter Lindberg The divers thermometer is a part of their dive computors, I do not know for sure how it messure the temperature. But most probably by a resistor. You know, platina has a ressitance of 100 ohms at 20 degree celsius. Many electronically thermometers messure the temperature with some kind of resistor.
Peter Lindberg I can not reveal the truth before I have all the facts. Till then everything is pure speculations, even from my side. I have not thought about if it can be hollowed, I have not even penetrated the surface yet...
Peter Lindberg Hauke: As you understand it is very much in this that points toward this not being just a "stone formation". The cracks seams not to be irregular, they seams to go vertically or horizontally. Behind them you can see a blackish collored mineral(?) with the structure of old wooden planks
Peter Lindberg We still have some months before it is too late going out to the site. But as it looks like now it will be last expedition for us. I think a real scientiffic team should take over and make a real scientiffic exepdition to the area. After all, we are just wreck hunters who's trying to find out what we a have discovered.
Peter Lindberg Patrick: God no! It must weight tremendous much, like thousands of tons
Peter Lindberg A new expedition will take place in approx three weeks.
Peter Lindberg The lines can be made by natural causes, but they looks very "man made".

Get a grip people... This thing is most likely from before the last Ice-Age, so YES... "Breaking" is relevant!... Unless you are among those who feel that if it didn't show up on your little "Picture Phones" ten minutes ago is the only thing worth watching NOW..... then find it on your own...

In other words, I'm outta here.. I don't need the agro..
    I thought I was ADDING...
but, please think hard on this...
Are you Adding (STO)? or are you taking (STF)? I know that will be a huge fly-over, but needed said...... SeeYA

    Hi...

It was said in the newspapers here in sweden, that the object were magnetic..
This have perhaps already been pointed out, if so, I have now reinforced it.

Thumbs up Re: Disclosure Imminent - Breaking News: Baltic Sea Anomaly

A statement made by Peter Lindberg listed below:

"You see a lot of weird stuff in this job, but during my 18 years as a professional I have never seen anything like this. The shape is completely round," Peter Lindberg, leader of The Ocean Explorer team, told the local press. The expedition's sonar also picked up what appears to be substantial seabed displacement or scarring, indicating that the disc-like object disturbed the terrain as it came to a stop. The disturbed trail measures some 900 feet long."

Initially, Lindberg said the Ocean Explorers had no plans on researching the object any further: "Since it might be nothing we can not afford spending funds just to have a look at it, even if it might be a 'new' Stonehenge standing on the bottom."

I like this thread. Particularly with its new thread title.

My earlier flippant emoticon based comment on this thread was triggered by 1) the apparent and IMO unnecessary sensationalism 2) making more than one thread on the same subject by the same author. I am allowed the opinion - you can take it of leave it. However, I want to expand it:

There is no HARM in this thread at all. Investigation is one of the things that this forum is about. People calling for it to be closed are reacting immoderately IMO.

You do us a service by bringing the reports into one place for ease of access by those that want to do so.

Whenever anything new is discovered and talked about you will, and can expect to meet resistance in many forms. Most of it is ignorable.

Stick to the truth, make it clear when speculation is speculation, ignore the peanut gallery and you will be fine.

    Please reconsider.

This whole thing reminds me of the Michael Crichton novel "Sphere." An object is found on the seafloor and thought to be an alien craft..................

We know people were around from before the Ice Age. There is no one disputing that or the fact that the climate where the object is could have been warmer with a lower sea level at some point in time during an age when "modern" humans existed. This all fits Hancock's "Underworld" theories more than it does any UFO. This could have been what was once a unique natural feature that was modified or built into a building just like the Pyramids, Baalbek or any one of a large selection of ancient megalithic structures.

The 'slide' marks could be from ocean currents flowing the opposite direction it seems to be sliding from.

I think whatever it is is fascinating even if its simply a geological formation. Some of the crap we are forced to filter keeps us from what is really going on sometimes. If it not a UFO but some other type of cultural feature this is equally earth shattering and important. Don't let your interest get deflated because this is not a UFO. The only reason anyone ever said it was a UFO is because of its shape. No other evidence exists but that. All's it takes is a circular object to send us all into a tizzy.

My personal translation of an article excerpt from The Swedish newspaper
    'Svenska Dagbladet'
    June 24th, 2012 at 16:49, Updated: June 25, 2012 at 11:06

Quote Dennis Åsberg - "It looks like a saucer"

Wreck hunter Dennis Åsberg believed that the circular shape at the bottom of the Baltic was a meteorite. After two dives, he is doubtful: -What facts are there to render an external origin impossible? I am a question mark right through.

In the middle of the Baltic Sea, 87 meters below sea level rests the discovery - whatever it is. It was in June last year as Dennis Åsberg, with his colleague Peter Lindberg, reacted to this sonar image of the seafloor.

Usually they look for wreckage. This was something completely different: a circle, 60 meters in diameter. Behind it appears a trail wich the entrepreneurs believe may be a sliding track.

The expedition is supported by a private financier. Two dives have been conducted so far in June, a third will take place after mid-summer.

The questions are piling up, says Dennis Åsberg.

-It sounds like science fiction, but it looks like a saucer turned upside down, with beveled edges. It's crazy.

Faced with the expeditions global fame, Åsberg leaned at the possibility that it could be a meteorite that was down there at the bottom. Now he is "terribly iffy":

-It may be a forgotten city. Or a submarine base. But what facts are there to render an external origin impossible? I have been skeptical, but the answers are running low.

Samples were taken down at the bottom. According to those samples, something about the formation has been "very, very hot."

-As a meteor or volcano, said Dennis Åsberg and goes on to reveal that the goal of the third dive is about taking samples, even from the very object.

But the object has an extremely hard surface, during the last attempt they failed to hammer off any sample material.

-We are striving to aquire the correct special equipment. What is down there is really hard and looks to be made of stone or concrete.

Martin Jakobsson is a professor of marine geology and geophysics at the University of Stockholm. He believes that human constructions can not be excluded. More likely, however, is that this is a geological formation:

-As a serious scholar it's hard to give an opinion when all you've seen is fragments. You have to see where it lies, all the basic data and a good look at it. There are many geological formations that looks exciting when they lie on the seabed. This may possibly be such a formation.

Dennis Åsberg stress that his team are closing in on the need to bring in expertise to solve the mystery.

-But what kind of expertise? I don't know. I promise you, I'm suffering from sleeping disorder.

Diving has been executed in June with the help of two divers and a robot. The mystery surrounding the formation on the ocean floor has not yielded any answers, but questions are really just becoming more and more the further the formation is being investigated, says Dennis Åsberg.

    - This has become so damn big now so I do not know where it will end. We've been down there collecting samples and made visual inspection of the formations, and we are almost, even more confused now.

    What did you see?

    - What we saw was a round plate on the bottom with 90-degree angles, and some sort of corridors and passageways on the top. In addition, we found straight smooth walls and a large round hole of about 25-30 meters straight into the object. We have also taken samples of the carbonized material discovered.

And what are the test results of the samples?

    - We know it's been really hot down there and we found something that was burned.

Is it leaning towards the possibility of an meteorite?

    - At first I was convinced it was a meteorite, but now I do not know what to believe anymore. But since the object is round with walls and angles, i'm not inclined to believe that anymore.

How will you proceed from here on?

    - We will soon be diving again. Earlier we were not able to release any material from the object itself as the material was too hard. But first we need to get the right tools. It's not something you are able to buy from the common hardware store.

Dennis Åsberg is still reluctant to reveal the exact position of their discovery.

    - We are treasure hunters. If we expose the location, others may go there.

Dennis Åsberg and Peter Lindberg found the formation when they were out looking for wrecks.

    - It was pretty funny actually. We were out looking for wrecks in the Baltic when this popped up on a sonar image. It's now exactly one year ago.

i just found this on prison planet. thought it was rather interesting. have a look:

    http://www.prisonplanet.com/ufo-at-t...thin-200m.html

"‘UFO’ at the bottom of the Baltic Sea ‘cuts off electrical equipment when divers get within 200m’

    EDDIE WRENN

The divers exploring a ‘UFO-shaped’ object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea say their equipment stops working when they approach within 200m.

Professional diver Stefan Hogerborn, part of the Ocean X team which is exploring the anomaly, said some of the team’s cameras and the team’s satellite phone would refuse to work when directly above the object, and would only work once they had sailed away.

He is quoted as saying: ‘Anything electric out there – and the satellite phone as well – stopped working when we were above the object.

‘And then we got away about 200 meters and it turned on again, and when we got back over the object it didn’t work.’"

could be more than what we have been told!

Default A question about C2C last night?

Richard Hoagland was one of the guests on last night.George and Richard were discussing
    torsion physics.
He discussed the mysterious object found on the floor of the Baltic Sea, and suggested that the torsion field given off by it caused the explorers' electronic measuring gear to shut down as they moved closer to it. He also talked about a scene in the classic
"2001 a space odyssey." Richard said That in this particular scene, One of the actors
dialogue was "He is away in the baltic sea doing archaeology."......
I kind of remember this scene but I could not find the scene on youtube?
Richard thinks it was a hidden message from Stanley Kubrick.

Jag I don't know what to say. Hoagland rubs me the wrong way somehow. I just don't trust anyone involved in P.R. for my alternative info. I did fall asleep before Hoagland came on last night.

This anomaly is right up his alley though. We can always count on him to come up with some plausible far out stuff. I'll give him that. I think this object is very interesting and I'm anxious to find out if it fits into Graham Hancock's model for sea level change. Either way until we find out what this actually is we'll have lots of entertaining theories as to what it may be. I think a line from a movie is pretty tenuous evidence but does add some intrigue. We know it does not resemble the monolith from 2001......................but will it teach us what we need to know?

We just need to KEEP THE HEAT on them. We just need more people following this group and we can use resources from the Tea Party, Occupy and other groups. THEY win as long as they can keep us arguing with each other. WE need to come together with people we wouldn't normally work with to bring these BANK and POLITICAL criminals DOWN!

This keeps getting more interesting but caution people. The men who are documenting this are in it for the money. I'm not saying they are lying or embellishing here but they have sunk a ton of money into this project only to find that it may be a natural feature and not a UFO. Now we have Richard Hoagland jumping on the band wagon last night on Coast to Coast. Now that no large objects are in imminent danger of hitting the planet we will move on to the "Baltic Sea Anomaly." I am predicting that we are going to end up with a strange object with lots of other strange stories attached to its existence and it will be all conjecture.

Again. The "slide" marks may be from an ocean current making it appear as if it slid. If there is no current then it would be buried.
