Default When you know you are dreaming, you wake up!

When you know you are dreaming, you wake up!

    Meditation the mind is:

    Sometimes full of thoughts.
    Sometimes drowsy.
Sometimes has thoughts of the past or future.
Sometimes is in a vacant and no thoughts state.
    Sometimes dwells on now.

These appearances in the mind are all but a dream. Within that dream there is an awareness that is aware of that all going on. It reflects like a mirror. Merely be aware of that awareness, and do not modify anything. When not modifying anything, one finds an emptiness, a pure knowing.
Resting in that pure knowing, is wakefulness!

It is a baby wakefulness, which needs stabilising. This is done through our conduct in daily life. Conduct is merely the continuity of what is now, non-meditation. In daily life all appearances are still but a dream, which needs to be respected, as we move around in a body.

In this continuity of 'practice' (if one does not react out of habitual patterning) creates no karma.
This is the other part waking up! With not reacting gradually all karma is exhausted.

This 'practice' can be taken into the dream state at night.

Our problem is knowing this dream-like state which is insubstantial. We can say this words, we can repeat these words, but they are merely words until we practice what we preach!

The automatic outcome is, caring for others. Which means not a iota of reaction towards others.
The recognition of any reaction is our teacher. Therefore anyone who causes a reaction in our minds, is our best teacher. We are here to wake up.

    Why else are we here?

(The meditation group is available for personal chats! Though this is simple it is not easy, as we all have personal issues.)

Thanks. I would be interested to hear your take on lucid dreaming. Could, perhaps, a lucid dreaming state be the heightened state of awareness of the crossroads, or the threshold, or the eye of the needle?
