Default Is this how we treat our children?

The following link discusses one of the areas in the US that needs attention and the system persecutes our young people instead of helping them.

This article is good food for thought and a real look at a society that may ensnare your child if not changed soon.

    Good post SG !!

Sentencing that girl to do jailtime was absolutely ridiculous.

To me that girl sounded like the cream of the crop, working two jobs to keep her family afloat. ( her sense of responsability seems to be up to speed, however she should not be worried about those things and should be allowed to be just a kid and go to school, these are bad times)

Still going to school whenever possible even when wiped out, same thing, very responsable, this girl has got her head on straight in my opinion.

Completely wrong, punishing her for taking responsability, she did not cause the crisis, yet she pitches in to make the best of the situation on all fronts.

BAD, a judge sentencing her to jail for THAT.
Confusius say..........Investing in people will accumulate interest at a staggering rate

Just another result of "zero tolerance" laws. Sadly, if she had dropped out of school, then this wouldn't have been issue. Totally not surprised anymore when these things happen.
