The godfather of global warming lowers the boom on climate change hysteria

Well, it appears that yet another scientist of renown who once scared the hell out of people with dire predictions of apocalyptic doom if we did not alter our green house emissions has revised his thinking. I can only imagine the intellectual gymnastics that will take place given that this "Godfather of the green movement" is now saying he was much too alarmist.

"Two months ago, James Lovelock, the godfather of global warming, gave a startling interview to msnbc.com in which he acknowledged he had been unduly “alarmist” about climate change. The implications were extraordinary. Lovelock is a world-renowned scientist and environmentalist whose Gaia theory — that the Earth operates as a single, living organism — has had a profound impact on the development of global warming theory....

Lovelock blasted greens for treating global warming like a religion.

“It just so happens that the green religion is now taking over from the Christian religion,” Lovelock observed. “I don’t think people have noticed that, but it’s got all the sort of terms that religions use … The greens use guilt. That just shows how religious greens are. You can’t win people round by saying they are guilty for putting (carbon dioxide) in the air.”

For me, Global Warming is a 2 part question.

1) Is it happening?
2) Are we doing it.

Again, the answer for me on #1 is: Yes

Are we doing it - I don't think so, possibly slightly contributing, but ever-so-slightly. Scientists have evidence that all the planets in our solar system are heating up.

HOWEVER, IMO, the good thing about pointing the finger at us as to the reason for global warming is that it's got us back in touch with our planet at a soul level and made many understand that it is a living, breathing organism that responds to our consciousness.

you bring up some really good points ba-ba-ra. I agree that we have seen some warming, but not the doom stuff many preached from their green pulpits. The whole solar system has gotten warmer, and the truth of it is that it looks like the sun has a lot to do with how warm things are here. I do not believe the earth is a living organism with thoughts and a soul. I do believe life exists on earth and as a part of the divine creation should and must be respected and cared for by all. The GAIA religion would have mankind living in dirt huts, hunting berries, and living like cavemen imho. I have seen many articles pushing for carbon taxes against the richest nations proclaiming we do the most damage when in fact it is the poorer nations that don't give a hoot about carbon emissions from their factories and wood burning fires by the millions. I don't want to go put out all their fires, but to me it's just another scam to reallocate money from one group who has a more advanced and comfortable living and give it to another group via the godlike beneficence of the NWO UN groups that would be handing out the "resources" otherwise known as stolen money. If the greenies had their way, every American would have their electric bills doubled or tripled! It would cripple us and they know it. They are not stupid. They see America as too big, and needing to be brought down a peg or three.

It's time we recognized this economic warfare for what it is. They cheated us by guilt into signing NAFTA and GATT and we have lost millions of jobs all on the promise of lower prices for food and other goods. None of that happened. Tomatoes are imported and still cost the same if not more than they did in 1990. Rebok shoes still cost the same despite it costing 90% less to produce them. It's all been a scam to rape the American people of our money. We need to start manufacturing tv, radios, washers and dryers, Ball jars etc and regain our manufacturing lead. We use cleaner methods than China, Singapore, and Malaysia. We don't tend to have child slave labor, and we need the jobs.

I agree with much of what you are saying - then again, what isn't an agenda by those in control? I don't believe 99% of what they tell me and the other 1% I question. It's all a game to keep us off balance, in debt and in fear. I get that, as I suspect most on this Forum do as well.

When 'they' first brought out the CO2 warming hypothesis, I believed it via the data that was presented. Later I recognized that the data, while 'correct', was not the whole story. Yes, our Earth is warming, but it's warming up just like every other planet (and the Sun), which diminishes their argument.

I now believe that all this hype is merely a distraction from the Real problem - that of the killing of our biosphere. The poisoning of our air, water and land is truly the Biggest problem, and it's caused by burning fossil fuels, using these same products to lubricate the machines that operate on these fuels, and spraying/dumping/pumping similar products into the ground, water and air. 'They' had to distract us from the malfeasance of their 'agenda' with all this hype about something they could point to and pontificate about, without actually delving into the details about how their 'models' worked.

Now that enough Real scientists have done the homework and presented their findings, more and more rational understandings come about, with this latest one really pulling the 'rug out from under them'. It was only a matter of time before someone of stature 'blew the whistle' on these falsehoods. Now the question is; can we force the change-over to a Free-energy, zero-pollution model. I will note that there are now a number of 'plug-in' electric vehicles being advertised... This is the 'slow-creep' model. But I think we all realize that it's too little, and too late.

The New Age of Earth is upon us, and all their corrupt systems will fail.
