For the last 133 years, the world's wealthiest and most powerful elite gather at the Bohemian Grove in the Redwood forest of Monte Rio, CA where they network, discuss policy, party and perform mock sacrificial rituals. Yet, little people know about this secretive meeting of CEOs and political bigwigs because there is virtually no media coverage of the event. So what is really happening at the Bohemian Grove? RT correspondent Abby Martin sets out to find out for herself.

Found this on the Mail online......The tone is more against, Hackers & conspiricy theorists than the power elite shenanigans....
At least they are reporting something which is a start......The Mail is a right wing establishment newspaper !

Hackivists next target, the top secret society where 'rulers of the world' meet every summer

A notorious group of hackers has called for the infiltration of a top secret elite society as it stages its annual gathering in California.

The Bohemian Grove began its two-week gathering in Monte Rio, California, yesterday, with protesters lining the street outside the exclusive 2,700-acre estate.

Bohemian Grove is part of the San Francisco-based male-only Bohemian Club which includes heads of state, leading business magnates and bank executives among its members.

Attack: Hackers group Anonymous has called on people to infiltrate the top secret Bohemian Grove club - where the most powerful men in the world are said to meet annually

Secretive: The elite group meets for two weeks every summer on a sprawling 2,700-acre estate in California

Conspiracy theorists claim the group is behind financial market manipulation, policy-setting, king making and even occult rituals and debauchery.

It has also been claimed that the group is linked to other secret societies such as the Illuminati and the Council of 300.

Hackers collective Anonymous has called for infiltration of the group and occupation of its secret grounds.

Anonymous has been associated with attacking major corporation and connections to the diplomatic cable leak site WikiLeaks, including Mastercard and Visa.

The majority of members of the Bohemian Club are set to arrive on Saturday, and Anonymous is calling for protesters to step up activities around the estate over the weekend.

The group claims to have 'literally explosive' information on Bohemian Grove and plans to leak it along with material from the Metropolitan Police in London.

Among its membership are said to be Google executive chairman Eric Schimdt, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and House Minority Leader Paul Pelosi.

Founded just after the Civil War by Henry Edwards as a private camp for 'bohemians' - artists and writers - to relax.

The club's membership has since evolved to include some of the richest and most powerful men in the U.S. and now numbers more than 2,400.

Among those said to have been members include every Republican president since 1923, cabinet officials, CEOs of major companies, banks and oil company executives.

The retreats are said to have been the location where many future presidents have established their credentials by making important speeches - including Dwight Eisenhower.

The Grove became famous with the revelation that meetings on the Manhattan Project took place there in 1942, which led to the development of the atomic bomb.

According to The New American, Republican president Richard Nixon credited a speech he made by the lake in the estate as the first milestone on his road to the White House.

Think tank: The Bohemian Grove is where one of the meetings for the Manhattan Project is said to have taken place in 1942

In his memoirs, he wrote: 'If I were to choose the speech that gave me the most pleasure and satisfaction in my political career, it would be my Lakeside Speech at the Bohemian Grove in July, 1967.

'Because this speech traditionally was off the record, it received no publicity at the time.

'But in many ways it marked the first milestone on my road to the presidency.'

Protesters have gathered near the entrance to the Bohemian Grove in Monte Rio - marking the first demonstration against the summer encampment.

Around 45 people stood on the right shoulder of the road past the 2,700-acre estate along the Russian River.

The protest appears to be related to a YouTube video announcing the launch of 'Operation Bohemian Grove' and calling for people to 'occupy' the intersection of Bohemian Avenue and Railroad Avenue near the venue.

The video, which begins with an air raid siren, said participants should block the entrance until they were moved on by police.

It claims: 'Important political and business deals are discussed and established at the Bohemian Grove, which is a direct violation of law in most concerned countries.'

Ah yes the Grove. This place is kind of an enigma. Why would they do ceremonies that mock a human sacrifice? The power elite of the world value this imagery somehow. What I find interesting is that the exact same thing in a way more in your face manner is practiced at the Burning Man Festival. The Burning man is based on the concept of the Axis Mundi. At the center of the axis they burn an effigy of a man. This is very similar to the Celtic Wicker man in which a human being was placed inside a large wicker effigy and set ablaze.

I angered many Burning Man fans when I wrote an article and made a video on this subject. Many attendees of this event have no idea what it all means. Weird.

Bohemian Grove's location was determined based on an Axis created by California author Joaquin Miller. It is also situated within the astrologically significant portion of Thomas Jefferson's township grid in a similar manner to the city of Indianapolis (Designed by L'Enfant's associate).

From what it seems 'The Ritual' seems to have been ingrained into the human phyche, whether thru religion , monarchy or supporting your local team ..

Its the degree and signicance that goes into the ritual not neccassary the ritual itselfe imo that give it power to participents..

thus the harmless ritual of afternoon tea is in vast contrast to the Aztec sacraficial ceromanies....

I'm not sure where the mock sacifice of a child to Molac comes into it....But it can't be good !!

This weekend will kick off the annual summer getaway for members of The Bohemian Club. The Bohemian Grove was founded in 1872 and it's an annual summer retreat for some of the worlds most powerful and influential people where they engage in a mock human sacrifice to appease the owl god known as Moloch. The idea of sacrificing people (often children) to Moloch goes back thousands of years and can be traced to the ancient Canaanites and Babylonians. The powerful leaders of our day are no different from their forefathers who dabbled with the occult in order to achieve more power, fame and wealth.

Note the Babylonian style beards on the pole bearers as David Icke said years
ago we are being ruled by an elite that blood lines stretch back to Sumaria
and possibly to the hybrid Annunaki gods themselves !!!

I've looked on line in the mainstream papers...The Guardian, Independent ,The Sun
NY Times not a mention yet!!

Someone should sneak in there again, set up microphones and cameras, and pretty much reverse the game on them.
Though I am betting its the Bilderberg meetings where the real meat of secrets are discussed, or even more so, smaller meetings we never know about.

The Cremation of Care mock human sacrifice photo inside the Bohemian Grove. Mark Dice obtained this photo on ebay when a set of photos were put up for sale from the estate a dead Bohemian Grove member named Victor Campogno.

This photo of a person being hung came from the official Bohemian Grove Annals, which are books that are given to members that contain historical photos of the club.

2,000 of the world's most rich and powerful take a yearly voyage to the Bohemian Grove, a secluded camp out in the redwoods of Monte Rio, CA. With little to no media coverage of this elite pow wow, RT correspondent Abby Martin set out to cover the event herself. There, activists, protesters and grove attendees elucidate the dangers of power players colluding behind closed doors and how it affects the rest of humanity

In the US, Occupy protesters have descended on a quiet California redwood retreat - where some of the world's elite gather every year.
Demonstrators say the two weeks, officially portrayed as a time of rest and relaxation, is really a chance to discuss plans for the world's future.
RT's Abby Martin at Bohemian Grove to see what triggers those rumours and growing protests.

A Guide to the Bohemian Grove

What really goes on inside the secluded Bohemian Grove, the site of the ultra-
exclusive Bohemian Club’s yearly bacchanalia among the California redwoods?

Conspiracy theorists believe the Bohemian Grove’s idyllic grounds, in northern
California, are host to right-wing, old-boy machinations about the New World
Order. Honorary member Richard Nixon, meanwhile, called it “the most faggy
goddamned thing you could ever imagine.” For V.F. contributing editor Alex
Shoumatoff, who was arrested for trespassing at last year’s encampment while
investigating the club’s forestry practices, the most suspicious activity that takes
place in the grove is the alleged logging of old-growth redwood trees. But common
to all reports from the two-week-long gathering of the country’s rich and powerful
old guard—members have included every Republican president since Coolidge—is
an account of profuse outdoor urination. With gin fizzes being poured at seven
a.m., so many enlarged prostates, and such majestic natural urinals, who’s
surprised? We present to you a guide to the Bohemian Grove, including a map of
the premises, highlights of the events, and a list of prominent members and regular
guests, from the club’s founding, in 1872, to today.

The last Bohemian Grove encampment took place in July 2008. Here’s an abridged
schedule of events from the club’s program. Who knew the Grovers were so soulful?!

Situated 75 miles north of San Francisco, the Bohemian Grove covers 2,700 acres
of magnificent Douglas firs and redwoods, some over 1,000 years old. As of 2007,
there were 118 camps, distributed around the site’s central feature: a man-made
lake, watched over by a towering Owl Shrine, where the infamous “Cremation of
Care” ceremony is held at the beginning of each encampment. Survey the idyllic
grounds with our map. (Click to enlarge.)

yearly dues. Judging from the roster, which currently numbers about 2,500, it helps

    Bohemian Tragedy

Members of the ultra-exclusive Bohemian Club—2,500 of America’s richest, most
conservative men, including Henry Kissinger, George H. W. Bush, and a passel of
Bechtels, Basses, and Rockefellers—are known to urinate freely against the ancient
redwoods that cover their 2,700-acre property. Have they been chopping down the
trees as well? According to one former member turned whistle-blower, the San
Francisco–based society may have logged some of its old-growth forest. Drawing
on his own Ivy League ties, the author investigates, with a daring sortie into the
ceremonial kickoff of the Bohemians’ annual encampment.

Left, an undated photograph from inside the Bohemian Grove. Right, John “Jock”
Hooper, club member turned redwood crusader. Portrait by Karen Kuehn.

Is this really what I want to be doing? Sneaking into the exclusive Bohemian Grove,
on the Saturday night when roughly 2,500 of America’s richest, mostly right-wing
Republicans are kicking off their annual July “encampment”? The members of the
San Francisco–based Bohemian Club are mostly all here, partying boisterously in
this primeval stand of gargantuan redwoods 75 miles north of the city, or will be
during the next 16 days. Over the years all the usual suspects have made
appearances: Rumsfeld, Kissinger, two former C.I.A. directors (including Papa
Bush), the masters of war and the oilgarchs, the Bechtels and the Basses, the
board members of top military contractors—such as Halliburton, Lockheed Martin,
Northrop Grumman, and the Carlyle Group—Rockefellers, Morgans, captains of
industry and C.E.O.’s across the spectrum of American capitalism. The interlocking
corporate web—cemented by prep-school, college, and golf-club affiliations, blood,
marriage, and mutual self-interest—that makes up the American ruling class. Many
of the guys, in other words, who have been running the country into the ground
and ripping us off for decades.

The summer high jinks begin, as they have for more than 100 years, with a
macabre, hokey ceremony—with Druidic, Masonic, Ku Klux Klan, and Aryan forest-
worship overtones—called the Cremation of Care, which is starting in 40 minutes
down by the lake. I squeeze through a hole in a chain-link fence onto the 2,700-
acre property and follow an old overgrown railroad bed. To my left, below a dense
tangle of California bay laurel, big-leaf maple, and understory shrubs, the muddy-
green Russian River is sliding by. I didn’t see any posting on that side of the
property, but I know I am trespassing.

While many in the world see this gathering of the military-industrial high command
as the bad guys—a sort of rogue state operating outside the constraints of
democratic institutions, a favorite watering hole for what Peter Phillips, a Sonoma
State University sociologist who has published extensively on the Bohemian Club,
calls “the global dominance group”—this is not how the members imagine
themselves. They see themselves as the moral underpinnings of America’s
greatness, whose central tenets are the Protestant work ethic: work hard and
prosper and you’ll get into that great club in the sky. The Bohemian Club is like the
Opus Dei of the Protestant American establishment. Very few Jews have made it in,
    and even fewer blacks.

The encampment is more of a drunken blowout and an opportunity for bonding
than a serious roundtable like Davos, although there is a series of lakeside talks
that are enlightening about what the government has up its sleeve for the
upcoming year. Kissinger is a perennial favorite. His speech nine years ago, “Do We
Need a Foreign Policy?,” was music to the ears of the Bush administration. In 1942,
Edward Teller is said to have planned the Manhattan Project here. There’s a lot of
dark history in this forest retreat. It’s rumored that during the presidency of Gerald
Ford one Grove employee was a charming, impeccably mannered ex-Nazi, who
used to drive around in a jeep that had the decal—a palm tree with a swastika on
it—of Rommel’s Africa campaign, which he had served in. Ford made him take it off.

The majority of activities take place in the 109-acre main grove, in about 120
separate rustic camps nestled under the biggest, most ancient redwoods on the
property. Each member is assigned to a camp. The fanciest one is Mandalay. Then
Hill Billies. Other camps have names like Derelicts, Five Easy Pieces, Poison Oak,
Rattlers. Herbert Hoover, an enthusiastic Grover, called it “the greatest men’s party
on earth.” Aside from the prostitutes who are rumored to be visited by randy
Grovers at local bars and motels, it’s a guys-only affair, and, historically, there’s
always been talk of buggery in the dappled shadows under the redwoods,
particularly at Highlanders, perhaps simply because members wear kilts and
nothing underneath. Richard Nixon (a member of Cave Man camp), whose 1967
lakeside talk kicked off his successful run for the presidency, was caught on one of
his Oval Office tapes describing the Grove as “the most faggy goddamned thing you
    could ever imagine.”

Another hallmark of the encampment is the promiscuous micturition—guys standing
up to the redwoods and relieving themselves everywhere you look. Maybe they’re
trying to symbolically assert their primacy over nature. But the amount of drinking
that goes on, plus the fact that many members are elderly and likely have prostate
problems and can’t make it back to their camp fast enough, also plays a role in
what has become, if not a formal ritual, a group-reinforcing collective activity. It
must be said, to be fair to the old Wasp establishment, that the club has a rich
history full of decent members with refined social graces. Mark Twain and the
acerbic misanthrope Ambrose Bierce were early members. So was the socialist Jack
London, who wrote a clairvoyant novel called Before Adam, about a time when
humanity was ruled by a small group of idiots who were destroying the world.

I am here to investigate reports that the Bohemians have been desecrating their
own bower. That nothing is sacred with these guys anymore. Everything is fair
game. But how could the Bohemian Club, where California’s forest-preservation
movement began, be logging its own land, which includes the largest stand of old-
growth redwoods in Sonoma County? That’s what it did quietly from 1984 to
2005—11 million board feet, roughly 11,000 prime redwoods and Douglas firs. I
imagine they don’t need the money. It costs $25,000 to join the club and $5,000 a
year after that. A 150-foot redwood with a 27-inch D.B.H. (diameter at breast
height) fetches only $850 these days, and a similar-size Douglas fir $450. Critics
say to sacrifice these jewels for such small change is unconscionable. And for the
last three years they have been trying to double the harvest.

To me, redwoods are like whales. At this point, they shouldn’t be harvested under
any circumstances. Virgin, old-growth redwoods are growing on only 4 to 5 percent
of their original range, a 450-mile band along the Pacific coast, from Big Sur to
southern Oregon. They are the tallest and among the most massive (sequoias beat
them there, but they are not as tall) and longest-living organisms on earth. Some
individual trees have been here for 3,000 years.

The family that redwoods belong to, the Taxodiaceae, is 250 million years old. We
humans appeared less than half a million years ago. There were redwoods when
Tyrannosaurus rex was the top dog and everything was gigantic. Sixty million years
ago, there were more than 40 species in the Taxodiaceae, and their forests
blanketed much of the world. Today, only three remain: the coastal redwood; the
sequoia, in the southern Sierra Nevada; and the dawn redwood, in one valley in
China. The biggest redwoods are up in Humboldt County, reaching 375 feet—about
35 stories. In my mind, redwoods are among the planet’s greatest glories, and all
that are left should be protected.

My plan is to take in the Cremation of Care, to get a sense of what the club is all
about, and tomorrow I’ll bushwhack into the forest to see what they have been
doing to it and what they’re planning to do. Maybe after the ceremony, I’ll do some
camp-hopping and try to talk to some members.

The security has been beefed up since 9/11, and the guards reportedly include
retired C.I.A. and F.B.I. agents, practiced at spotting infiltrators. But having grown
up and been educated with the old blue-blooded ruling class, I have the preppy
drawl, and I know the dress code for such occasions: haute rustic. Ecco hiking
shoes, Brooks Brothers khaki pants, a light-green Ralph Lauren Polo golf shirt, a
blue Pebble Beach rain shell, and a blue Tilley’s safari jacket. My hair and beard are
cut short and neatly trimmed. I told my Czech barber in Montreal to make me look
like a Republican. She had no idea what I was talking about, but I could pass for
the brother of H. R. Haldeman.

    The Unbohemian

I was alerted to the logging in the Grove by my college classmate, John C. Hooper
(or Jock, as I always called him), who was until a few years ago an enthusiastic,
fourth-generation Bohemian Club member, and is now one of the strongest voices
against the Grove’s forestry practices. Jock is old California money. His mother’s
family had a 2,000-acre ranch an hour north of San Francisco, and his father’s
family had a smaller spread an hour south. The Hoopers came from Maine in the
19th century and prospered, first in the lumber business, then banking.

Hey people in all the hype about the Dark Knight shootings we are overlooking the fact that the President is going to be in San Francisco while Bohemian Grove is in session. They said this during the coverage of his trip to Aurora to console the relatives of the shooting victims. From the Wall Street Journal:

DNA resonance or cultural magick. . The original wicker man rites where based in druidic practice and had nothing to do with burning humans. Celts and druids aren't necessarily the same genetically.

Those who don't have druidic bloodlines cannot properly perform the wicker man rites (sometimes called broom rites) so the imitation magick folks the ptb, seized on using an actual human to generate energy. So many witches during the burning times were thought to be powerfully endowed that they were sacrificed to capture that power.--the real reason behind the Burning Times. Burning people is believed to chase the spirit out of them so their animation can be captured.

Some power can be raised in mimickry of these rites that were actually quite profound but nothing like what the real deal could perform sans human sacrifice.

They are ingrained on the human psyche until one makes the deliberate intention of removing them. The Wicker man rites are reflected in a ceremony of making straw dollies for St. Brigids day, a rather harmless rite I'd suppose that has little power but was as powerful as the original Wicker Man rites which were a summoning of male energy.

Once it was used to call in now its used to call out.

Quote Ah yes the Grove.

Thanks for the extra insight into the Wicker Man. Is it true that ceremonies with a person in the wicker effigy were burned or is this false? I am only going on some of the things I have read which may not be accurate or as accurate as any other source. I still think its odd that similar rites are practiced at the grove and burning man. There is a big difference between burning an effigy and a real person.

At burning man all the organizers deny that they are creating an axis but they named the central road along the inside of the circular plan of Burning Man the Esplanade. A Latin term for the flat open area associated with an Axis Mundi. The Trans America Pyramid in San Francisco points an azimuth to Burning Man.
