    Which is the best spiritual path?

    The one that increases your compassion.
    The one that increases your tolerance.
    The one that increase your faith.
    The one that increase your intelligence.
    The one that increases your devotion.
    The one that satisfies you.
    The one that answers all your questions.

    The one that takes you out of yourself!

    The path of knowing yourself.
    Treat others like you would want to be treated.
    The path of your own branch of spirituality, as long as it hurts no-one else.

    MAKE ME A CHANNEL OF YOUR PEACE

    Make me a channel of your peace.
    Where there is hatred let me bring your love;
    Where there is injury your pardon, Lord;
    And where there's doubt true faith in you.

    Refrain:
    Oh, Master grant that I may never seek
    So much to be consoled as to console;
    To be understood as to understand;
    To be loved as to love with all my soul.

    Make me a channel of your peace.
    Where there's despair in life let me bring hope;
    Where there is darkness, only light;
    And where there's sadness, ever joy.

    Refrain

    Make me a channel of your peace.
    It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
    In giving to all men that we receive;
    And in dying that we're born to eternal life.

    the spiritual Path does not always consist of a conceivable list, for one may have learned certain lessons already, it all depends on the individual person.

    Well, there are three answers that come to mind;

    The one where someone with some book tells you what to believe.

    The one with pretty girls ( I've heard of it but still looking).

    The one where you go still and listen to the quiet voice within.

    Is there a prize for the best answer Tony ?

    The object is everyone wins!
    The prize is being happy and satisfied with what you have found.
    The bonus is real confidence, that no one can ever upset you, ever again.

    And, one now have compassion for other's point of view....however that does not mean, one leave one's brains outside on the pavement (sidewalk)!

    Hey Tony,

    You know, I have a friend who is a philosopher, a very good one.

    He thought me something very interesting, during our numerous long discussions; know your question, know your answer.

    In this case, he would ask me to define the meaning of best, define the meaning of spiritual, define the meaning of path, and then define the meaning of best spiritual path.

    Of course, it isn´t easy to define these things, but once you successfully do it, you probably wont have a question anymore; you´ll have the answer.

    Cheers,

    Raf.

    The house is on fire, the fire alarm is ringing, you can smell the smoke, you can feel the heat, but somehow, refuse to get out of the bed and do anything about it; Maybe you´re just scared, maybe you believe the fire is an illusion, or maybe you´re just waiting for a miracle to save you...Eventually, you die. So, what is it worth to be "awake" if you don´t get out of the bed and do something?

    Tony
    There is nothing we can do to avoid any moment of experience but we can cultivate an openness to be present for each moment we experience. We must not conceal or deny anything to know truth. My answer may not make sense to many, but here it is: None and All
    Unity Consciousness

    Free your mind, and open your heart to LOVE.
    You'll then become enlightened able to just BE.

    As usual conspiracy sites being conspiracy sites, cloud the issue!

    Spiritual paths are just a boat to get to the other shore,
    once arrived the boat is no longer needed.

    Of course you may see this differently.
    Spiritual... is that which is beyond the thinking mind, our essential nature.
    Path...is our confused state we are in now, that does not know our essential nature.
    Best...that which is conducive for the individual to realise that essential nature.

    Do not confuse PATH with ORGANISATION!.

    An organisation is just a method, we choose a method or not to facilitate the realisation of our essential nature. We choose what satisfies us, it is always our choice – as WE have to do the work.

    To claim that one needs no Path makes no sense whatsoever. Are you claiming to be enlightened?
    Even then you are only talking about you....again! Conspiracy sites being conspiracy sites, teach to not trust anyone, and as Mr Sinatra says...I did it myyyyy way!
    I sometimes think that conspiracy sites are there to confuse people. You are fooling yourself if you think any of your ideas are original.
    The whole point of spirituality is to go beyond our confused thinking and of those around us.

    One more point. Out of compassion for others suffering, there are those that choose to take the spiritual boat back, to hand it to others to use....if they wish and if they find it useful!
    Of course one does not have to do this...it's a choice thing!

    Hello Raf

    I wish an education in the basics of philosophy was compulsory in state education...I know little about it unfortunately, but I know it would be hugely beneficial.

    So what is the difference between philosophy and spirituality? That would make a good thread for discussion! I can't see that there would be a cut and dried division but there must be aspects by which they differ.

    How about this...off the top of my head...

    Philosophy is about gaining an expansive, objective understanding of "reality". It tends towards the realm of concepts, and hopefully, knowledge arises.

    Spirituality is about gaining a personal understanding of our relationship to "reality" and our place within that. It goes beyond the conceptual, and hopefully wisdom arises.

    We need both - they are not mutually exclusive.

    Kathie

    I would say that any path which leads to death is an effective spiritual path. So the only one that doesn't really work is physical immortality. I mean, that works... It's just really slow.
