The bulge is ever so slight, visually, its impossible to see pretty much. Centrifugal forces. He is taking the 'egg shape' term, far too literally. The aspect ratio of the Venus transit is incorrect, as it does not appear as it should. The wobbling path of Venus in last part is caused by the positioning of the satellite moving up and down slightly, but the effect of Venus' position appears more extreme due to the huge distance between the satellite and Venus.
Take two lines going off into the distance infinitely, side by side, but one line, angled by 1 degree, that line would part with the bottom one the further you follow them into the distance.

simple if all the planets were on the same path/plane just different distances from the sun , we would never see them, they would be blocked out. I look at the sun with my welders goggles it is round mostly , we know what light does to matter.
