Just watching the Arctic Monkeys perform I bet you look good on the dancefloor. Love the Orwellian lyrics " Dancing to electro-pop like a robot from 1984 Well from 1984!"

What are your thoughts on the tree on the hill?

    Tree of life?
The tree is supposed to represent Glastonbury 'tor' according to some tour guide dude on bbc explaining the ceremony to a group of tourists!

    the plot thickens!

I dont have cable so didn't and wouldn't watch but my daughter works in a bar so its on the screen.....she said it gave her a really horrible feeling to watch and she felt it somehow affected her mood......she was also quite disturbed when she tried to point out some of the obvious symbolism and the regulars just laughed at her like she was mad.......but she said it really left her feeling bad......wonder what they're programming the public with through the television ??

Bugger the symbology, that was actually a very impressive display. Besides it's the closing ceremony which will be the telling event (if any).

I agree. Very impressive opening ceremony. Everything in hunky dorey we live in a fantastic and free country. Just don't tell the 48,000 security personnel, the aircraft carrier in the Thames, drones flying over head, 18km of electric fencing. (i could go on)

Multiple industrial biological waste incinerators are currently being built throughout the UK, various locations for completion 2012-2013. Google it
Check out the deaths and false pharma medicine being practiced, MRSA, C-Deficile all the man made hospital plagues, check statistics, check complaints. Google it. ( I personally can vouch for a litany of breaches of care. Nursing is a joke, more like airline stewardesses). Four letter words are banned in the NHS as they are deemed offensive. Care - verb; being considered a waste of resources. Care - noun marketable and profitable. Google it.

If you are looking for the truth about this world it won't be found in the Olympics, you'll find your truth in the old records (showcased in the Michael Tsarion vids in another thread). After all the Olympics has been hijacked by the NWO profiteers, the higher levels of the NWO are looking on and saying "Were you expecting something special?"

Also the amusing false flag event has already happened... Do you remember the North Korean flag mixup? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18994581 The NWO are sitting back pissing their breeches with laughter.

I haven't forgotten what is what in this world... I merely refuse to be stuck in their trap of fear and trepidation. Let the games begin!

Did anybody catch one of the last tunes of the ceremony was the end of Pink Floyd's 'Dark side of the Moon'?

    Eclipse
    (Waters) 2:04

    All that you touch
    All that you see
    All that you taste
    All you feel.
    All that you love
    All that you hate
    All you distrust
    All you save.
    All that you give
    All that you deal
    All that you buy,
    beg, borrow or steal.
    All you create
    All you destroy
    All that you do
    All that you say.
    All that you eat
    And everyone you meet
    All that you slight
    And everyone you fight.
    All that is now
    All that is gone
    All that's to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.

"There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."

    LOL!!!!!! Check this article out!

Quote The name's Majesty, Her Majesty: Queen joins in the fun as she 'parachutes' into the Opening Ceremony from Bond's helicopter - and appears before cheering crowd with hair looking a little ruffled
Queen make spectacular appearance in simulated helicopter arrival with James Bond star Daniel Craig
Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins started the Opening Ceremony by ringing the giant Olympic Bell
Rowan Atkinson joins the orchestra as Mr Bean for a comedy skit
The audience have been handed 3D glasses and every seat has a magic wand with it
Red Arrows fly past the stadium leaving trail of red, white and blue vapour at 20:12 exactly

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ndon-seen.html
I watched 2 minutes of it, that was enough for me...

I find it curious that the same old "same olds" seem to be the "entertainment" when "her Maj" is in town - Mr Bean, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney etc etc.......
They are now "officially" establishment celebs. You could add David Frost, and many if not all UK comedians. Thay have all sold their souls. Period. Payback time is reminded to them and they swarm all over.

Sick really. But I did watch the opening starting about 10.30, I missed all the NHS stuff and the Industrial revolution and whatever.
Did anyone notice Seb Coe didn't thank the thousands of volunteers but the French man did and he got loud cheers for doing so. And he (the Frenchman) emphasised a lot of nice human traits to be cherrished. It brought a tear to my eyes.

Oh, We missed it? My guide shows the opening ceremony coming on at 6:30 central time on channel 5/NBC5.
I'm boycotting it. Watching it is supporting the advertisers as well as the whole ritual. Should mention I also boycott TV for the past few years.

Maybe I should boycott this thread, LOL.

First of all I enjoyed watching it because I love the way that all countries can actually unite with one another. Should be like this all the time...

So in the picture below I noticed that the ring below the ring with the line reminded me of a bomb. Mmmmm.... wonder if they are planning to bomb something???

Yes, I did. And so did others. I found this comment under an article on the (London) Guardian website covering the ceremony:
The ZDF (German TV channel) commentators went totally silent for a few moments and then bumbled on. I think he [the German official] may be in the news tomorrow.
I also spotted this post among the comments, referring to a (possibly British) female TV commentator:
As the team from Norway entered the arena, she made the remark: "The Norwegians are good shooters". Someone else on the commentary team quickly moved on to another topic.
[She'd clearly, in the moment, forgotten about Norwegian Utøya mass murderer Anders Breivik.]
