    Default Healing Effects of Sound

Music and sound has an effect on our spiritually and psychologial well being. The sound of nature seems to instill in us and stir our emotions and a sense of calm. It has healing properties, it changes our moods, and effects our environment we live in.

Each frequency of each note resonances at a different frequency, this in turn effects us with each note. This is just one way it has healing properties.

    The Chakras

A chakra is a center of activity that receives, assimilates and expresses life force energy. The word Chakra is sanskrit for wheel or disc and signifies one of the seven energy centers of the body. We record every thought and feeling in one of our seven chakras and they become lodged there until they are released. As we evolve and live our lives it is important for us to give up old ideas to move forward and grow. Each of the seven musical notes and seven colors corresponding to the chakras have emotional and physical issues attached to them. It is the quest of Sound Essence to give the information and the tools needed to allow the song of your soul to be heard.

Thank you bogeyman. Only last year did i start chanting mantras, after a friend advised me to, and to my surprise, and i am a very skeptical person they worked, after a while. those ancient people did leave us excellent clues on how to make our lives easier.

everything is a vibration and making/chanting different sounds will put you on the same rhythm or vibration of that which you are trying to bring into your life, or that you are trying to repel (for those who want to swear often and don't realise what they are doing to themselves through this 'innocent' act.

thanks again for all the research!!

Mpea, I had to look at my ipod and see what the name was. I had an itunes card gifted to me and wanted something with the solefeggio frequencies. I ended up chosing J.S.Epperson, Deltadream (50 minutes) and Hibernation (60 minutes.) Deltadream starts out with a song/chant called Benediction (6 min) it is beautiful too.

Holy Harmony is on my wish list. I was confusing Holy Harmony with JS Epperson. Sorry for the error.

Nice to share with someone with the same interests.

So true, silence is healing...for me though, living in a busy city with loud people where you can even hear the house next door, silence remains something on my wishlist , than something i and many others can access : )

I agree 100% , especially if we are aware that the frequency can be used to manage our emotions .

I find this too. I often use specific sounds/music because silence is scarce in my neighborhood.

Silence is good, especially if you are desiring to get in touch with your own key note, or inner vibration, which is unique to us all; which is the teaching of Master Ching Hai who advocates the Quan Yin Method of Meditation which is a meditation on your inner light and sound vibration; the most pure meditation, and connects you directly with your higher self and god. Since vibration is our essence..

Also don't forget about the power of A = 432 tuning. Someone mentioned how our emotions and psyche are influenced by frequencies, and this is definite.. and all of nature vibrates in the 432 tuning. Cows moo and birds chirp in this frequency.. when people are honest and humble, they make sound in 432 as well.. 432 contains frequencies that are infinitely harmonic and connects you more easier to higher dimensions of awareness.. making it your best friend, if you are interested in retuning your brain (and guitar) to this tuning, and these natural frequencies, since your mind; over many years of conditioning has been programmed to the tunings of the ego and such in 440.. and these are the kinds of frequencies they put n tv and mainstream music, and even the telephone dial-tones... but you can free yourself from it! We are living in a 440 world..but you can still go back to 432 and experience its healing powers.. people make songs and can put in animal sounds and the animal sounds harmonize with the music automatically.. it's pretty amazing. There are many videos on youtube.

Thank frogweaver, i find this information very interesting as i am particularly sensitive to tone of voice and am able to use it as a way of discerning authentic intent or not, unfortunately some will tell me its all in my head but i think its in the frequency!

I love the Tibetan/crystal singing bowls. There's a monthly meditation held nearby here where they bring them in of all sizes and swirl them around, it's very calming.
