There is a way only perhaps it has not yet been invented. Also we can use simple techniques first off, like good sorting. The items of trash that are good as they are, remain as they are... Only for a different purpose than they originally were created for. So there would be no need to melt "everything" down etc. However some of the stuff already is toxic an needs dealt with in some way. This reminds me of the PC interview with Jim Humble where he briefly describes an invention that slow burns radioactive material down to carbon, no radioactivity remained.Posted by doodah (here)
all the PROCESSES of doing anything at all with petroleum, or plastic into oil, are themselves TOXIC. There's no way to deal with this substance without creating harmful chemical byproducts.
My point being ~there are a lot of incredibly smart people out there that may come up with new ways to handle this stuff... They just need the opportunity to do so. Good points here!
