This 'something affecting our solar system' could be what we were talking about on an earlier 'thread',.....'Sun Worship'. PurpleLama brought up that the 'prophet' made reference to the 'Sun of righteousness', to which I gave the passage, (and meaning), out of Book of Malachi. Today, 27th September, the time window has elapsed. Does anyone have any news of a sighting?

If Planet X were anywhere nearby, tens of thousands of amateur astronomers with high quality telescopes, all over the world and unaffiliated to any organization, would be screaming from the rooftops -- and competing for the huge kudos granted to the publicly acclaimed discoverer, who would also get to name the object as they chose.

It's out there, but it's not close yet. I'm inclined to believe Bob Dean's report of 2017. Not last week, or next week! Planet X is not among the problems we face right now. Everyone is getting excited a little too early. Wait several years, and then things may get much more interesting.

Although I have heard that gravitational time dilation (there is actually a decent topic about it and the annunaki on GLP) might be the reason why it is not visible in the "light spectrum." It has been recorded and seen by NASA though IMO- often by infrared. I actually have friends who have seen it already with some of the amateur satellite systems (public), including some blotted out stuff. I'm talking about the stuff you can use on the internet (by anybody). Also, notice the orbits/spins being affected in solar system planets.

Also, according to legend the thing is a planetoid (a mobile planet and battlestar) more so then just a planet.

Deacon (one of the people you interviewed) called it the "second sun."

Fear nor worry for this is an appropriate response. I personally don't think there is anything to worry about.

Looks like it could be quite spectacular, but let's not get carried away here folks - astronomers have already said the final brightness is difficult to predict. But hey, the tabloid press, popular media and much of our 'alternative media' aren't going to let the facts spoil the story.

Now, this forum MUST surely have some professional or keen amateur astronomers amongst its members. So before some of us get swept away by the 'Fear Porn' this comet will inevitably stir up, could some of these astronomers please come out and explain why this comet is:

1) Not going to collide with Earth

2) Not going to cause a massive solar flare

3) Not going to cause a polar shift (either magnetic or rotational)

4) Not cause a huge changes in our weather (might need a meteorologist for that one)

5) Not Planet X/Nibiru/the Sun's evil twin, etc.

6) Not the cause of "changes in the solar system" - whatever they are...

7) And not some piloted craft behaving in an 'impossible' way on its mission to spread either doom or enlightenment amongst us Earthlings.

Nassim Haramein discusses a V1 comet almost twice the size of Jupiter that came into our solar system in the following video. This comet did not make the mainstream news. Nassim made the comments, “They did not tell us because they thought we were toast,” and “We should not be here.”

He also made the comments, “We are floating in Grace” and “Someone is taking care of us”. I choose to think (believe) that someone is still taking care of us.

Twice the size of Jupiter? That makes it visible by the naked eye. Even if it were too far away to be obvious, something that big would easily be visible by the thousands of amateur astronomers.

"It would have produced huge tidal waves on this planet." How? Is this guy a real physicists or astronomer? Nahhh...

I think there is a lot of hype about size, and a lot of over confident pronouncements about dates.

However, it is quite possible for a large meteoriteto hit Earth, and we don't see it coming. This happened recently (looked like a helicopter crash to witnesses, but no sign of a ny kind of crash, so the conclusion is that it was a meteorite): http://www.iol.co.za/news/south-afri...pter-1.1392818

Cape Town had its own “it’s a bird! It’s a plane!” moment when multiple reports that a helicopter had crashed off the coast of Blouberg on Friday night saw rescuers across the spectrum mobilised, only to turn up… nothing.

Reports included suggestions of “something flying through the air that looked like a shooting star or rocket”, complete with green light and in one case, a flash of flame, which suddenly disappeared.

By yesterday morning not a scrap of wreckage had turned up, however. And NSRI spokesman Craig Lambinon reported that what the witnesses were likely to have seen was in fact “meteorite fall”.

Or maybe it was a UFO that crashed!

Case Rijsdijk, who writes a regular astronomy column in The Good Weekend, said, however, that it was unlikely to have been a meteorite, although he couldn’t offer an alternative explanation either.

“If a meteorite the size of a helicopter had hit the sea just off Blouberg, the whole world would know about it. That would be a real event,” he said.

Comet Holmes (official designation: 17P/Holmes) is a periodic comet in the Solar System, discovered by the British amateur astronomer Edwin Holmes on November 6, 1892. Although normally a very faint object, Holmes became notable during its October 2007 return when it temporarily brightened by a factor of about half a million, in what was the largest known outburst by a comet, and became visible to the naked eye. It also briefly became the largest object in the solar system, as its coma (the thin dissipating dust ball around the comet) expanded to a diameter greater than that of the Sun (although its mass remained minuscule).[3]

A newly-discovered comet should become one of the brightest lights in the sky - even outshining the Moon, according to astronomers.

Russian astronomers recently spotted comet 2012 S1 (ISON) 90 million kilometres from the Earth, according to a report by National Geographic .

It is currently a faint glow streaking between Saturn and Jupiter, but as the Sun's gravity draws the comet closer, dust and ice will be blasted off, it giving it a highly-reflective tail.

Depending on how big the tails gets, the three-kilometre wide comet may become more visible for a few months in late 2013 and early 2014.

"If it lives up to expectations, this comet may be one of the brightest in history," Raminder Singh Samra of the H R MacMillan Space Centre in Canada told National Geographic.

The comet already seems to be following the path of the Great Comet of 1690, which was one of the most stunning ever seen from Earth.

It should also pass about 10 million kilometres from Mars, possibly providing Nasa's new Curiosity rover with a spectacular view.

But Mr Samra warned scientists should be cautious about predicting the brightness of comets, as they have failed to live up to expectations in the past.
