"We are looking into the cause and the situation and we'll make that public when we have further information," Edano said."At present, we think 10 km evacuation is appropriate."Japan earlier in the day warned of a meltdown at a reactor at the plant, damaged when a massive earthquake and tsunami struck the northeast coast, but said the risk of radiation contamination was small. UPDATE: 10/22/12: 13:30pm Monday Japan time: The Oct 18th explosion was due to an earthquake with a 3.9 mag. This quake breached the walls containment system, therefore causing further meltdown of the fuel rods down to their plutonium cores. There is no steam effect when Plutonium hits the air, so do not expect to see any steam like the before materials, its a ' vapor ' that cannot be seen. - Michael Eckstein

I addition to expressing his great concern for what just happened - which he wasn't yet aware off - he said MANY nuclear power plants in the US are downstream from major dams which, if they break because of a major earthquake or flood for instance, would fail and release large amount of radioactivity...

This critical issue should be adressed in the presidential debate tonight...

The global media has kept a tight lid so far about this new catastrophe in Japan. Tens of millions of people will need to be evacuated from Japan. This will trigger the global economic collapse of an already fragile economy. Personally, I don´t trust anyone from the media nowadays; alternative, mainstream, whatever.

I just believe something when I or someone really close to me have a first hand experience.

There are thousands of people with different stories, with various degrees of craziness, all of them competing for our trust.

I don´t really care about why they´re doing this anymore. All I know is that I´m out of this game.

I just observe quietly now. After all, there´s no need to believe anything, just like there´s no need to always have a formed opinion about everything.

As for myself... I've come to to accept that None of the msm, and Many of the 'alternative news' organizations (businesses) are only regurgitating sometimes questionable information. I go to numerous news sites to get a larger picture, with the realization that even this 'broad' perspective is only a portion of the whole.

And in the same breath, I'll also say that I've come to ignore virtually Every bit of it. I take to heart that Everything Is As It Should Be.

The Quickening is 'on schedule', and moving forward. I do what I can to help those within my sphere understand what is transpiring, even though some just 'don't want to know'... but, many are 'waking up', and have become aware that 'something's up'. The 'hundredth monkey' event will be happening soon, of this I'm certain. But, Never Soon Enough (IMO).

So, I meditate with every chance I get, and try to remain centered and calm as best I may. Yes, there are some terrible things happening, and that will happen.

NO EXPLOSION, NO CLOUD, NO LARGE FIRE, NO FUMES etc AT ALL yesterday when seer said he "saw" it explode, and put out the video showing a FAKE explosion at a different factory entirely.

I've gotten several hundred emails on this... and just as many comments ..

It is unacceptable for this kind of activity to happen online in our community.

Isn't it utterly ridiculous that you have to question everything you read now days....what's real anymore? You almost can't believe anything unless it happens right in front of your face.....then again...since we know, well some of us do....that everything on this planet is an illusion anyways, I guess it makes perfect sense for the stories about this planet to be that of an illusion as it fits into the definition of a Holographic Universe- that which mirrors back at us....one illusion for another.

Now I probably just lost half the viewing audience on that one, lmao.

Hi all,

Well you can rely on some Avalonians to sift through some of the BS! The Reuters story attributed to the Deccan Herald in the first story above for October 2012, was actually run by Reuters in March 2011 (see below) I've just discovered. So yes a semi clever hoax and an attack on Japan and Benjy Fulford was right on this one probably (?) .... but who knows as there are now so many wheels within wheels in this illusory world as we-R-one says.

Personally, I wonder if some truths have been leaked out with some clumsy BS and misdating of info. to discredit any factual nuggets that might be there. However, the global economy is held together with sticky tape at the moment I reckon, so would be a good smoke screen to attribute any collapse to Japan - and of course, the US elections are coming up as well.

Why? is the question about the hoax I reckon.

Though the mainstream media has long since abandoned the issue, the precarious situation at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power facility in Japan is only continuing to worsen, according to a prominent Japanese official. During a recent interview, Mitsuhei Murata, the former Japanese Ambassador to both Switzerland and Senegal, explained that the ground beneath the plant's Unit 4 is gradually sinking, and that the entire structure is very likely on the verge of complete collapse.

This is highly concerning, as Unit 4 currently holds more than 1,500 spent nuclear fuel rods, and a collective 37 million curies of deadly radiation that, if released, could make much of the world completely uninhabitable. As some Natural News readers will recall, Unit 4 contains the infamous elevated cooling pool that was severely damaged following the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami that struck on March 11, 2011.

According to the Secretary of former Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, the ground beneath Unit 4 has already sunk by about 31.5 inches since the disaster, and this sinking has taken place unevenly. If the ground continues to sink, which it is expected to, or if another earthquake of even as low as a magnitude six occurs in the region, the entire structure could collapse, which would fully drain the cooling pool and cause a catastrophic meltdown.

"If Unit 4 collapses, the worse case scenario will be a meltdown, and a resultant fire in the atmosphere. That will be the most unprecedented crisis that man has ever experienced. Nobody will be able to approach the plants Š as all will have melted down and caused a big fire," said Murata during the interview. "Many scientists say if Unit 4 collapses, not only will Japan lie in ruin, but the entire world will also face serious damages."

Because there are 31 nuclear units of a similar type to Unit 4 in the U.S., the American government has been downplaying the disaster to protect its own reputation, alleges Murata. This is, in fact, the primary reason why so little has been reported on the severity of Fukushima following the disaster. The American empire, in other words, does not want the world, nor the American people, to know that there is the possibility of literally dozens of Fukushima situations occurring on American soil, should the right disaster situations arise.

Jeff Rense has interviewed yesterday Yoichi Shimatsu, a well-known Japanese nuclear awareness activist, and Rense says around 15 min into the interview that there was no explosion, but his guest says that this is not a matter to be taken lightly and that there is genuine concern and it could indeed happen and that the government is hiding the truth big time, preventing people from taking measures to protect themselves.

Also one has to have an unshakeable faith that means do exist and ARE being deployed to counter the nest-spoiling activities of mankind and that, in the end, despite obvious sufferings by many, important lessons will be learned by the part of us that is eternal and cannot be hurt by anything except the fears we allow within our Selves.
