Default The SDO Website is Down

Due to anticipated power grid problems caused by Hurricane Sandy the SDO website has been shutdown. We regret the inconvenience. The website should return tomorrow.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the SDO a satellite, fully equipped with solar panels? How does a hurricane affect that?

They have backup system's don't they if the power goes off ?? Alot of strange things can happen when the electricity is shut off. People working in the dark can get away with anything and not be seen.

Poor signal recovery because of highly electrical interferrence of the storm and energy generated blocking signals. I'm noticing that OUR signal on clearwire mobile devices are working fine.
