Well it's about to start, after months of fighting bickering and insane ads running continuously on every channel...

Tonight is the night, but it might be 2 weeks before we know who won...

Ohio and Pennsylvania eVoting machine problems and Hurricane Sandy delaying voting until Friday in New Jersey

this is the tightest race any of us have ever watched almost a split down the middle since the beginning.

all I ask is be nice to each other when this is done, let's give each other hugs and move forward either way...

I also posted a map showing what results to expect to come in, when, in another post at USA election results - useful map for evening of Nov 6, 2012, which has a link to a ZeroHedge map and chart at http://www.zerohedge.com/sites/defau...ege%20info.jpg.

I'll leave that ZeroHedge map thread separate from this thread.

Your Huffington Post results link and this thread could be the better place to follow the election.

Yes - the ZeroHedge map was pre-election static results. The interesting part of that map was the hours of poll closings, by state, size and likely Presidential winner.

The US election rules allow major news networks to call each state, based on exit polling data (asking voters as they leave the polling place during the day), as soon as the polls have closed in that state.

they call wisconsin for obama and the ticker says romney 53 percent, obama 47percent. ha ha so who really won wisconsin ?? the media really wants obama to stay in power it is so funny , ohhh all he needs is blah blah. two thirds of the US is red and barely one third blue and the talking heads are saying obama obama . Romney so far 18 states, obama 8 and the race is too close to call ????? that dang electorial college .

That's possibly a reasonable situation. Smaller, more rural, typically more conservative (pro Romney) results often come in sooner than larger, more urban, typically more liberal (pro Obama) results. So, with the results part way in, it is possible that Romney could be ahead in the votes counted so far, but not far enough ahead to overcome the reasonably anticipated Obama votes from the urban areas.

The broadcast on Fox here in Oz has 'em saying Obama has won and they're all using the new attack phrases they'll use like he "didn't win the popular vote" and "no mandate".

And that the jesusland map follows the outline, almost perfectly, of the slave states of the old south, during the civil war.

And that the divide between these two 'opponents' is the same, on that there presidential race color chart. (blue vs red states).

So.....that's a good 150 years later -- same results.
