My sense is that they don't want him to testify on the Bengahzi clusterf***. It's a handy excuse to pull from your back pocket when the heat is on.

That's exactly what this is about. He will not be testifying before congress, as he was scheduled to do, and now the CIA will take the heat for Benghazi. He's the fall guy for this sad event.

Yeah right, this from a dirt bag who murdered millions of innocent people in how many countries (sorry I lost track). All of the sudden he has to step down because he is unfit to serve after having an affair. WHAT? That's some cool aid there. It's funny how the CIA has screwed up everything they have done lately. Could it be that they failed to get their boy in that would have marched us strait into Iran so he is not needed for the position now. Something stinks.

The news will show blood soaked pictures. Change that blood into semen and all bets are off. We can see bodies with no heads, but not a body getting head.

Our culture is screwed up backwards where death and mayhem are accepted, but sexuality is verboten. Unless it is used to sell something and then it has to be done in a sleazy, titillating manner. Pornography has degrading effects, to be sure, but death and dismemberment are another order of sickness. Death has a permanence about it.

So, mass killer is fine. Adulterers must go. Besides, this story is a cover for something else, (smokescreen) and rats are leaving a ship.

There have been news quotes from CBS and MSNBC on some political sites I follow ( cannot imbed) that the FBI found out about this investigating another incident and the reason this is a big deal is that the mistress/lover whatever was accessing his supposedly secure emails. That kind of leaking is a serious problem and is always something followed through. Eisenhower's mistress was with him in a war bunker and driver 24/7 for just that reason. Continual observation.

Hi Kimberley, I heard U.S Rep Peter King last night on the news say,That David Petraeus was supposed to testify next week
on Bengazi Gate.Petraeus is now saying he had an extra marital affair (Bastard) and thats the reason he is stepping down.

Bengazi cover up for sure, that OP. was botched so badly we are going to see some strange things happen as loose ends are tied up.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have to testify any longer since he is no longer head of the CIA.

I think they can still supoena him. and I think he wants to testify.

First of all, we aren’t ready to throw Petraeus to the wolves. He came to the CIA in handcuffs, historically tied to the phony war on terror, his role in the “Sunni Awakening” which paid off Baathist terrorists who are now tearing Iraq apart and his job in Afghanistan, having to clean up the mess made by Stanley McChrystal, who, with Richard Hollbrooke, know more about heroin than Arnold Rothstein ever did.
It is obvious that Petraeus was compromised by a foreign power or found to be involved in something so serious that he would destroy his career and reputation in writing rather than some other consequence, typically “suiciding” or arrest.
We share friends and all I know of Petraeus makes this, the most obvious conclusions, very difficult to believe. He is a man of humor and insight though very ambitious.
Who could have “set up” the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency?

He wraps it up thus:

We will wait a few days before hanging General Petraeus “out to dry.”
First come the lies, they are flowing now.
In a few days, I will cajole or pressure the truth out of someone.
Then, depending on what it is, I will or will not be able to print it.

Just so you know, an M16 is a .223 round (.003 larger than a .22 aka, 22 rifle) it doesn't do a lot of damage, it is designed to wound, not kill, as a wounded soldier takes out 3 or more bad guys, a dead soldier only takes out 1.
