An interesting new development...so the plot thickens

Did Petraeus mistress reveal secret CIA prison?
Paula Broadwell may have divulged new information on Benghazi scandal

    Published: 2 hours ago

    ****************************************

TEL AVIV – Did Paula Broadwell, the alleged mistress of ex-CIA Director David Petraeus, reveal a secret CIA detention center in Benghazi during a public speech she gave last month?

Broadwell, a former counterterror operative, co-authored a bestselling biography of Petraeus, titled “All In.” She discussed the book during a keynote speech on Oct. 26 at a University of Denver alumni symposium. The speech is available in full on YouTube.

During a question-and-answer session, Broadwell was asked about this year’s Sept. 11 attacks against the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

She stated: “Now I don’t know if a lot of you heard this, but the CIA annex had actually had taken a couple of Libya militia members prisoner. And they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try to get these prisoners back. So that’s still being vetted.”

The existence of a U.S. prison or CIA detention center in Benghazi would be a new development in the debate surrounding the attacks there. The information does not appear to be publicly known.

An extensive WND search of news media coverage of the Benghazi attacks could find no mention of prisoners being held at the CIA annex.

Yesterday, the New York Times reported that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor spoke to an FBI whistleblower two weeks ago who accused Petraeus of not only having an extramarital affair, but potentially jeopardizing the security of classified information.

During the same university speech, Broadwell may have also divulged information that Petraeus knew “within 24 hours” of CIA annex’s request for reinforcements, reported Israel National News.

“The challenging thing for Gen. Petraeus,” she stated, “is that in his new position, he’s not allowed to communicate with the press. So he’s known all of this – they had correspondence with the CIA station chief in Libya, within 24 hours they kind of knew what was happening.”

Earlier she had said the military could have sent reinforcements.

“They were requesting the – it’s called the C-in-C’s In Extremis Force – a group of Delta Force operators, our very, most talented guys we have in the military. They could have come and reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex.”

This is not a right or left issue. Come on people. Everyone is always talking about "The Powers That Be" Well guess what? This is thier right hand man. This is the guy who takes direct orders from The Powers That Be! He is one of them.
So why would they sacrifice one of thier own? Any good chess player knows.

Hmm, there’s an interesting fly caught in this ointment: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. To mix my metaphors madly, he’s the dog that didn’t bark. And his presence here points – for that reason – to another, darker scenario.

    Let’s look at a timeline:

    • On or about October 30 (reported October 31st), Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette is removed from his command. This was, as news reports noted at the time, “very unusual” and sensitive noses began sniffing.

    • As TSHTF on October 31st, the FBI informer who’s supposedly been working separately on the Petraeus case hotfoots it to the House Majority Leader. Why? Why not to Dianne Feinstein, Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence? This is very, very politically hot stuff: The head of the CIA has been compromised on Obama’s watch. It makes no sense to let the info escape the Intelligence Committee to the Majority Leader, except as a political goodie.

    • This news comes just six days before a very hard-fought vote. Pure political gold. $$Billions$$ are at stake. And yet Cantor sits on the story. It doesn’t involve him (supposedly), he has no need to know, and yet: He’s in the loop on the Perfect Scandal, and remains publically silent. Karl Rove would have killed for this info. (Unless, of course, he's already got it, and cringing….)

    Doesn’t add up.

Alternatively, (oh heck, let’s just run with it…)

    • Suppose – for the sake of argument – that the “Seven Days in May” scenario was in force: a rogue group of military, CIA, and politicians was in fact plotting a coup in the event of Obama’s reelection. Certain White Hats (however defined) are aware of this, and monitoring the ring, which possibly implicates Petraeus, among others.

    • As the (correct) poll numbers begin to point to the high probability of Obama’s reelection, it becomes necessary – and possible – to remove these conspirators.

    • The decapitation begins with Gaouette, just ahead of the election.

    • And the watchers wait – to see who else will run freaking from the room…..

    • The stooges run straight to implicate Cantor. Ooops for Mr. Cantor.

    • Because now there’s another sting in place: the undoing of Mr. Cantor and his friends.

There will be more to this story, I’m sure.

And it won’t necessarily involve hanky-panky in Petraeus’ email. Pass the popcorn, this movie is only beginning.

    Most interesting afterthought:

    • Suppose Obama now has Cantor strung up by his…. ummm…. thumbs.

    • And says to him: “You – and your congressional friends – are over. Unless….unless….you become my new best friend and pass a compromise on this Fiscal Cliff situation… You wanna cooperate?”

    • Cantor to Obama: “Yessir. What else would you like?”

    Cheers,

I noticed the first news agency coming out with the story was from Israel, not even Glenn Beck wanted to talk about it until next week.

This does give "Don't ask Don't Tell" a whole new meaning...

So she's a CIA spokeswoman, or just speaking too much about stuff she shouldn't be talking about??????? This is a quite telling video....

Broadwell is a "FORMER" intelligence officer..........Broadwell is also NOT an author or a writer...."All In" is the first and only book she ever wrote!

Quote VIDEO: PETRAEUS MISTRESS SUGGESTS BENGHAZI ATTACK WAS AIMED AT SECRET CIA PRISON

On October 26th, 2012, Paula Broadwell, the now famed mistress of General Petraeus, addressed the University of Denver Alumni Symposium about the recent attacks on Benghazi during a question and answer session after her keynote address:

"The facts that came out today is that the ground forces there at the CIA annex, which is different from the consulate, were requesting reinforcements. They were requesting the – it's called the CINC’s In Extremis Force – a group of Delta Force operators, our very, most talented guys we have in the military. They could have come and reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex that were under attack. Now, I don't know if a lot of you have heard this but the CIA annex had actually taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner, and they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try get these prisoners back, so that’s still being vetted."

Seems the head of the CIA would have the most secure email on the globe????? Guess he was using g.mail like most others!!!!! LOL!?

This is all a big smoke screen.....the FBI and CIA are battling it out it seems on the surface.

The head of the CIA allowing his email to be seen?????? This whole thing stinks like a bad novel...
I just heard on an interview that he/she/they actually were using g.mail! LOL! This is a big joke.....I seriously think that this ridiculous scenario of BS is going to blow up in their face and it will become clear that nothing is as it seems and the real scenario will blow some minds for sure!

So from this article bram, conclude that the FBI is finally doing real clean up, using sex scandal, whatever can be used as long as the general is gone.

I wonder if there is not some white hat work in the background, the description of the general in the article fits perfectly the psychopath description, as well a the description of the girl friend journalist.

If the FBI was really doing a clean up they would arrest some of the Bush administration for minimally allowing the WTC to be hit. They would arrest some in the Obama administration for a continued cover up. They would arrest themselves for not arresting the aforementioned. The buzzfeed article is a hit job from the equally guilty media. The general is no saint, but saint is a black and white polarized term. He saw what happened to the generals who stood up to Rumsfeld. I posted an article a few days ago about a stand he took about the geopolitical situation in the middle east. He is paying for that now. Any one who knows how and who our media serves would be able to connect the dots very easily. Just because one knows that a magician is using tricks and fraud to do his/her act does not prevent the ruse from still appearing very convincingly real.

I am not saying you believe the article, Flash. That is not what your post says. I liked your reference to our domestic agency.

One of the sleazier implications in the article is that Broadwell will now pay the price the way Monica Lewinsky did.
Quote And Broadwell, too, is about to get slandered in a way no woman deserves. She’s the Pentagon’s Monica Lewinksy — and, despite Team Petraeus’ much advertised lip service to courage and integrity, it didn’t take long for his allies to swarm the press with anonymous quotes smearing the West Point graduate and married mother of two: that she wore “tight clothes,” as The Washington Post reported, or that she had her “claws in him.” In other words, how could Old Dave have resisted that ****’s charms?
This little part of the story is an attempt to manage the facts by getting ahead of them and inserting the argument before the narrative picks up steam. The counterargument to an argument that has not found its own legs is being put into the public awareness/conversation. Monica was put up to her job as was Paula. The control of politicians is a must for the unseen hands. You have to know and understand their tactics to be able to see the unbroken lines under all of the dotted and dashed lines of noise that the controlled media will put out to create a fog of war.

Buzzfeed would be better names BSfeed. It is probably just what its coded meaning is.

Those who read Sue Arrigo's own story as well as her testimonies would know that CIA's nickname is "Busch's CIA." In other words, it actually is "Rockefellers's CIA" with its attendant "Presidential models" and sex slaves... just sordid black mails to keep in-line the unruly.

As I find little bits of info that lead me to conclude that Petraeus angered the wrong people, and found himself in an affair with someone (a watcher/compromiser) sympathetic to those who felt he had strayed, I will post them. This quote is pulled from a long article, something the writer is known for.

Quote Petraeus benefited from supporting Bush imperial ambitions and Israel’s regional agenda. At one time, the Israeli Lobby loved him. Perhaps no longer after March 2010. In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, he said:
“The enduring hostilities between Israel and some of its neighbors present distinct challenges to our ability to advance our interests in the AOR (Area of Operations).”
“Israeli-Palestinian tensions often flare into violence and large-scale armed confrontations. The conflict foments anti-American sentiment, due to a perception of US favoritism for Israel.”
“Arab anger over the Palestinian question limits the strength and depth of US partnerships with governments and peoples in the AOR and weakens the legitimacy of moderate regimes in the Arab world.”
“Meanwhile, al-Qaeda and other militant groups exploit that anger to mobilize support. The conflict also gives Iran influence in the Arab world through its clients, Lebanese Hizballah and Hamas.”
In other words, Petraeus echoed others saying Israeli interests often run counter to America’s. The so-called special relationship at times does more harm than good.
At the same time, Petraeus very much supports Washington’s imperial agenda. Apparently he believes achieving it depends on delinking from Israeli interests when they harm America’s.
Anti-Defamation League head Abe Foxman responded angrily, saying:
“Gen. Petraeus has simply erred in linking the challenges faced by the US and coalition forces in the region to a solution of the Israeli-Arab conflict, and blaming extremist activities on the absence of peace and the perceived US favoritism for Israel. This linkage is dangerous and counterproductive.”
This may have contributed to his leaving. Challenging Israeli Lobby power is high-risk. Perhaps it decided Petraeus had to go.

    Petraeus 'shocked by girlfriend's emails'

CIA director David Petraeus was shocked to learn last (northern) summer that his mistress was suspected of sending threatening emails warning another woman to stay away from him, former staff members and friends say.

Petraeus, who led US military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan, resigned his CIA post on Friday, acknowledging his extramarital affair with his biographer-turned-lover and expressing deep regret.

The scandal has rocked Washington, where members of congress demanded to know why a months-long probe that ended the former general's storied career was kept quiet for so long.

Petraeus told associates his relationship with the second woman, Tampa socialite Jill Kelley, was platonic, though his lover Paula Broadwell apparently saw her as a romantic rival.

The retired general also denied to these associates that he had given Broadwell any of the sensitive military information alleged to have been found on her computer, saying anything she had must have been provided by other commanders during her reporting trips to Afghanistan.

Kelley, the Tampa woman, began receiving harassing emails in May, according to two federal law enforcement officials. The emails led Kelley to report the matter, eventually triggering the investigation that led Petraeus to resign as head of the intelligence agency.

FBI agents traced the alleged cyber harassment to Broadwell, the officials said, and discovered she was exchanging intimate messages with a private Gmail account. Further investigation revealed the account belonged to Petraeus under an alias.

Petraeus and Broadwell apparently used a trick, known to terrorists and teenagers alike, to conceal their email traffic, one of the law enforcement officials said.

Rather than transmitting emails to the other's inbox, they composed at least some messages and instead of transmitting them, left them in a draft folder or in an electronic "dropbox", the official said. Then the other person could log onto the same account and read the draft emails there. This avoids creating an email trail that is easier to trace.

Broadwell had co-authored a biography titled All In: The Education of General David Petraeus, published in January. In the preface, she said she had met Petraeus in the spring of 2006 while she was a graduate student at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and she ended up following him on multiple trips to Afghanistan as part of her research.

But the contents of the email exchanges between Petraeus and Broadwell suggested to FBI agents that their relationship was intimate.

The FBI concluded relatively quickly - by late summer at the latest - that no security breach had occurred, the two senior law enforcement officials said. But the FBI continued its investigation into whether Petraeus had any role in the harassing emails.

Petraeus, 60, told one former associate he began an affair with Broadwell, 40, a couple of months after he became the director of the CIA late last year. They mutually agreed to end the affair four months ago, but they kept in contact because she was still writing a dissertation on his time commanding US troops overseas, the associate said.

FBI agents contacted Petraeus, and he was told that sensitive, possibly classified documents related to Afghanistan were found on her computer. He assured investigators they did not come from him, and he mused to his associates that they were probably given to her on her reporting trips to Afghanistan by commanders she visited in the field there. The FBI concluded there was no security breach.

During a talk last month at the University of Denver, Broadwell caught attention when she said the CIA had detained people at a secret facility in Benghazi, Libya, and the September 11 attack on the US consulate and CIA base there was an effort to free those prisoners.

A Petraeus associate said the retired general was shocked to find out about Broadwell's emails to Kelley.

Petraeus told former staffers and friends that he was friends with Kelley and her surgeon husband, Scott, and regularly visited their home overlooking Tampa Bay.

Jill Kelley, 37, served as a sort of social ambassador for US Central Command, hosting parties for the general when Petraeus was commander there from 2008-10.

A photo shows Petraeus and his wife, Holly, with the Kelleys and Jill's identical twin sister Natalie Khawam in the Kelleys' front yard, decked out in party beads with a pirate flag in the background.

Kelley regularly kept in touch with then-General Petraeus when he became commander of the Afghan war effort, the two exchanging near-daily emails and instant messages, two of his former staffers say. But those messages were exchanged in accounts that his aides monitored as part of their duties and were not romantic in tone, the staffers said.

Petraeus and his family are devastated over the affair, especially Holly Petraeus, who "is not exactly pleased right now", after 38 years of marriage, said Steve Boylan, a friend and former Petraeus spokesman who spoke to him over the weekend.
"Furious would be an understatement," Boylan told ABC television's Good Morning America. The couple has two adult children, including a son who led an infantry platoon in Afghanistan as an Army lieutenant.

Top U.S. commander in Afghanistan under investigation, scandal widens
    Reuters November 13, 2012, 8:09 pm
    By Phil Stewart

    http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/1...candal-widens/

ABOARD A U.S. MILITARY AIRCRAFT (Reuters) - The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, General John Allen, is under investigation for alleged inappropriate communication with a woman at the centre of the scandal involving former CIA Director David Petraeus, a senior U.S. defence official said on Tuesday.

The shocking revelation threatens to fell another of the U.S. military's biggest names and suggests that the scandal involving Petraeus - a former four-star general who had Allen's job in Afghanistan before moving to the CIA last year - could expand much further than previously imagined.

The U.S. official said the FBI uncovered between 20,000 and 30,000 pages of communications - mostly emails and spanning from 2010 to 2012 - between Allen and Jill Kelley, who has been identified as a long-time friend of the Petraeus family and a Tampa, Florida, volunteer social liaison with military families at MacDill Air Force Base.

It was Kelley's complaints about harassing emails from the woman with whom Petraeus had had an affair, Paula Broadwell, that prompted an FBI investigation, ultimately alerting authorities to Petraeus' involvement with Broadwell. Petraeus resigned from his job on Friday.

Asked whether there was concern about the disclosure of classified information, the official, on condition of anonymity, said: "We are concerned about inappropriate communications. We are not going to speculate as to what is contained in these documents."

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said in a statement given to reporters flying with him to Australia that he had asked that Allen's nomination to be Commander of U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe be delayed "and the president has agreed".

Allen, who is now in Washington, was due to face a Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday, as was his slated successor in Afghanistan, General Joseph Dunford.

The FBI referred the case to the Pentagon on Sunday and Panetta directed the Defense Department's Inspector General to handle the investigation. Panetta informed the top Republican and Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee during the flight to Australia. The House Armed Services Committee was also notified.

The U.S. defense official said that Allen denied any wrongdoing and that Panetta had opted to keep him in his job while the matter was under review, and until Dunford can be confirmed to replace him - a process that gains urgency given the potentially lengthy review process and the cloud it could cast over the mission in Afghanistan.

"While the matter is under investigation and before the facts are determined, General Allen will remain commander of ISAF," Panetta said, referring to the NATO—led force in Afghanistan.

Only hours earlier, Panetta had said he was reviewing Allen's recommendations on the future U.S. presence in Afghanistan after most troops withdraw by the end of 2014.

Commending Allen's leadership in Afghanistan, Panetta said in his statement: "He is entitled to due process in this matter."

At the same time, he noted that he wanted the Senate to act "promptly" on Dunford's nomination.

The U.S. official said Panetta was informed of the matter involving Allen on Sunday, as he flew to Hawaii, after the Pentagon's top lawyer called Panetta's chief of staff. The White House was informed next.

    FBI RAID, SHIRTLESS PHOTOS

Evidence that the case involving Petraeus was not fully closed came late Monday when FBI agents searched the Charlotte, North Carolina house of Broadwell.

Agents entered the house carrying boxes at around 9 p.m. (0200 GMT Tuesday) and about four hours later took away what appeared to be two computers and about 10 boxes.

During the search, agents inside could be seen moving through multiple rooms, gathering materials and taking photos. They did not comment to reporters gathered outside the house.

Broadwell's family was not at home at the time of the raid. The FBI and a Justice Department official would not comment on the reason for the raid.

U.S. officials had said in recent days that their investigation was largely complete and that prosecutors had determined it was unlikely they would bring charges in that case, which started when Kelley contacted an FBI agent in Tampa about harassing emails from an anonymous source.

That FBI agent, who has not been identified, has also come under scrutiny after it was discovered he had sent shirtless photographs of himself to Kelley, but "long before" this investigation, a law enforcement official told Reuters. The photographs were first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

The agent had never been on the Broadwell case, but had taken the information about the emails to the FBI cyber squad in Tampa, the law enforcement official said.

The FBI agent who works in the Tampa office apparently became frustrated at the pace of the investigation and complained to a member of Congress about it, the official said.

The FBI investigation of the emails received by Kelley traced them to Broadwell and subsequently uncovered emails that revealed an affair between Broadwell and Petraeus.

The emails between the two women were of a "childish", jealous nature and showed some one-upmanship of trying to come across as being more important to Petraeus, the official said.

When Petraeus resigned as CIA director on Friday he publicly admitted to having engaged in an extramarital affair.

Lawmakers and others have questioned whether Broadwell, who co-wrote a biography of the decorated former general, obtained classified information from him or another source.

Panetta had earlier said Petraeus did the right thing by stepping down, given potential security concerns, even as he said he was saddened by the end of the retired general's distinguished career.

A little more from the BSfeed article. It really paints a picture of a sociopathic, possibly psychopathic, person:

Quote Broadwell was sold to publishers as much for her looks as what she was writing — she was an attractive package to push Petraeus and his counterinsurgency ideas. Little, Brown editor Geoff Shandler once told me how “hot” he thought Broadwell was after she came in to meet him at his office, and indicated to me that Broadwell had made him somewhat aroused. Intellectual integrity all around, to be sure.
Ricks blurbed her in All In, and earlier had promoted her content on his blog — the oddly titled Travels With Paula, a headline he slapped to a story about the U.S. military’s total destruction of a small village in southern Afghanistan. Broadwell described the ultra-violent wipeout in favorable terms — and when she was confronted with an angry villager whose house had been destroyed, she wrote that the Afghan’s tears and anger were a “a fit of theatrics.”
The highlighted words indicate the warm glow some people feel when whole villages get wiped out. Especially Muslim ones. I bet this primed her for a session of dicktation from the general. A warm glow will do that.

BTW, the proper term for her is "honey trap".

I think you are spot on Modwiz

Now, as of this morning, another general is accused to have sent a ton of menacing e-mail to other people - another general to be sacked.

The saga goes on, I heard this on radio, newspaper article will come out most probably today.
