Nanoo, I couldn't agree with you more. As we all know allopathic medicine is geared to removing the symptom of the patient. That is almost always accomplished by the use of drugs or surgery. As a nurse I have seen the recent addition of a few vitamins or minerals reaching widespread use in the medical field. Namely, Vitamin D and Magnesium an calcium. Unfortunately, they are being used exactly the way drugs are used, to address a symptom. A holistic, health sustaining approach is so far away from the current model of medicine that I do not see a way of incorporating the two. There is also the huge influence of big pharma and profit...Doctors are greatly influenced by clever pharmaceutical reps

What i like about this guy is he is obviously selling something but in his presentation he tells you what to use for each major ailment basically giving you the poignant info free. I respect a doctor that actually cares. He deserves our support.

Today is my 23rd wedding anniversary...been married to a GP all these years just to battle against the voices of the big pharma agents.
Strange that our first conversation ever, which took place on November 28 th, 1988, was me asking how he felt about alternative medicine. And he ended up advising me to do the apple cider vinegar and honey thingy first thing in the mornings.

Three years ago we opened a medical centre which now has a young nutritionist, a massage therapist and a psychologist as well as my husband, the GP, all of them wide open to alternative prevention and healing methods.

Husband even recommended that one patient read the book The Secret, and it worked. The severely depressed patient is now fully recovered, thanked him profusely for recommending that book, stating how learning about the law of attraction saved her life. She is now completely off anti depressants.
Just thought I'd share that there can be a transition period, to allow room for both.

Calcium suppliment and burdock root.

It appears that unless Obamacare is nullified by the States, doctors will not be allowed to teach nutrition. The so-called "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" (PPACA) will require doctors to comply totally with federal edicts regarding patient care or they will be hit with large fines. And we can be assured that the federal system will focus on supporting Big Pharma, not nutrition. Many doctors will bail out of the profession due to iron-fisted control by the federal government, resulting in shortage of doctors.

I think that this will in the long run actually increase the level of health in the US because people will start learning how to take care of themselves more by learning about nutrition, herbal medicine and alternative healing methods.

I am one of many people who have been poisoned by Big Pharma and I subsequently cured myself through nutrition and herbal medicine.

Dr. Wallach is very informative and I also recommend nutritional pharmacist Ben Fuchs; they both have internet radio shows on GCNLive.com.
