Default They held an Apocolypse and no one came.

I have been on vacation so I haven't had the time to read all the posts but I can not find any that 'explain' why the biggest thing that happened on 12-21-2012 was 2 for the price of 1 absolution's at the local catholic church. (Shades of Y2K) Can anyone explain why (Again) nothing happened???
Dates and predictions come and go like a politician's promise, all wind and smoke but not an ounce of substance. When WILL something happen? Landings, Solar flares, the return of Quezacotl, spiritual upliftment, the death of the Illuminati...etc.
I really want to believe, I really do. I read and watch everything I think is related but all I hear is empty promises and offers of a new spiritual world, for a price. Show me SOMETHING! A non-Photoshopped picture of something alien, a happening that does not end with the words: "The government covered it up", a new age elixir that works (Monatomic gold?)... before I loose my optimism and go back to being catholic, at least I'll get a chunk of bread for my $$$$.
Would appreciate an answer with substance. Thank you for reading my rant.

The Mayan like the ancient Indian and Egyption civilizations amongst others have a great knowledge of the stars, our universe and how the cosmos related to humanity. The 2012 end of the world thing was about trying make us lose faith in what we can learn from the ancient world and the truths of the universe itself. By deliberately misleading us as to the nature of the Mayan calander people have become less interested in ancient knowledge and people's curiosity will have waned, at least thats what the plan was.

try Googling 'End of the World Predictions'. There are hundreds over the centuries, but we are all still here. This last prediction was really just one in a long line of failed predictions. The difference with this one is that now we have the internet such ideas travel faster, and ideas feed off each other.

I have noticed attempts to channel disappointed people towards self-exploration and the promise of future happiness. Maybe, since you seem to be left wanting answers, this may be the way to go. There are plenty of posters discussing this sort of direction in this forum.

    Hi Menkaure

I think the onus is on you to interpret the world around you in a way that is consistent with your world view.

If you keep falling for scams - whether they are double glazing salesmen or spiritual prophets - then maybe you need to change your world view because the scams will never go away.

One way to do this is to come to the realisation that much of the new-age rhetoric floating around, while interesting and enlightening, is more symbolic than literal and should be interpreted as such. Accordingly, the winter solstice represents the midpoint of winter and the shortest day, but that doesn't mean you'll necessarily get 6 feet of snow dumped on you on the 22nd December (Northern Hemisphere). In all other respects it's just an average day like all the others in winter.

I recently had a conversation with a friend who was convinced we are all about to "transcend" to the 4th Dimension. I argued that no "transcendence" was necessary since all dimensions are available to all sentient beings at all times and that the idea that they were firewalled off from each other was an age-old scam which started with the advent of organised religion.

He didn't like this idea so I just left it with him and concluded that he couldn't recognise a good bible story when it was dressed up with the word "dimension" in place of "heaven".

Sorry if this disappoints (it shouldn't) but the only way that something is "going to happen" is if you look in the mirror and start creating your own reality. Be creative in everything you do from cooking to dreaming. You will quickly transcend to a new dimension/heaven of existence !

By the way, don't wait up for any pole shifts either - I just took a plane back home from seeing family and it stayed perfectly on course despite our "collapsing" magnetic field. A pole shift is occurring as we speak, but it will take 2-3 centuries to complete.

    Happy cooking/dreaming !

    Pete

The problem here (as I see it) is we live in a linear world, with dates and times, and tend to tie ourselves to certain events happening at certain times!

I am guessing in other dimensions the linearality doesn't exist as it does in our 3D perception!

My uderstanding of December 12th 2012 is that this date was the mid-point in a window of opportunity for human consciousness to take a Quantum leap in growth, and eventually humanity may just wake up and become civilised!

I figure it will be another generation before this becomes evident to all, as something such as this does not happen in the blink of an eye!

Evolution of a species takes time, and SPIRIT doesn't have a clock!

Default Re: They held an Apocolypse and no one came.

Esoteric researcher Drunvalo Melchizedek discussed the great Earth activations fueling 2012 and what the Mayan Elders knew about the pending changes. He explained that the universe goes through cycles and that when the latest cycle reaches its conclusion, believed by many to be on December 21st, 2012, a massive shift of the Earth's poles will take place. Depending on how long this polar shift lasts, he said, the effects on human memory and the mind as well as the Earth's crust could be dire.

Melchizedek, who has spent over 25 years working with the Mayans, detailed what they have told him about these impending Earth changes. He revealed that the Mayans believe that the infamous date in December of 2012 is actually "the least likely day" for anything to happen. According to the them, the event will take place during a window of time which began on October 24th, 2007 and ends in 2015. Melchizedek pointed to the outburst of the Comet Holmes in October of 2007 as the prophesied harbinger of "the moment when the End of Time began."

Rather than fear these potential Earth changes, Melchizedek said that the Mayans see the period as "a time to celebrate and be excited about," because it will result in positive advancements for humankind. "Yes, there's a lot of destruction," he said, "but there's brand new birth. A new humanity is born." Based on what he has learned about the Mayan prophecies, the impending event will result in humans entering into the 4th dimension where "whatever we think or feel happens. It's a whole new ballgame."

About an hour into the talk he talks about February of this year as being important but that any time up to 2015 is the window of opportunity.

There are some interesting statements made during the program which are claimed to be scientific fact.
So you pay your penny you take your choice.

I was under the impression that it was the end of a looooong calendar, assuming that the starting date was correct based on astrological sound indicators that could be scientifically--of course i never did the work to see if any of that was true, just chalked it up as a possibility as there seemed to be a lot of claims to that effect.

I did buy into the "remote viewers can't see past or on 12/21/12 or whatever", so thought maybe what the Maian elder on youtube (heh, that sounds like some true enlightenment, eh?) was saying would have been neat (something like 8 mins of total enlightment for anyone x degrees from the equator, where the galactic alignment energy will/has hit). So I thought somethign would happen on some level that I am not used to directly experiencing. If it did, I missed it, and am still as sensitive as a sack of doorknobs to anything other than my 5 senses .

I never delved into any of it too deep, but listened to everything with openness and interest, and also tried to be vigilant that it could be used as a method of causing fear/panic, which I am leaning toward what all the media attention was about...would have been perfect (but perhaps too obvious) for a false flag of some sort. Who knows, maybe we find out ten terrah-ist attacks were thhwarted, while the enlightened among ascended, and we just didn't notice.

As to substance...I got nothing. Just like 12/21/12...

I would backup graybeard wisdom and send you to watch Drunvalo videos.
Also watch video interviews with Dolores Canon (the longer interviews the better).
You can also read the Law Of One (Ra Material) the sessions about the harvest.
I watch the interviews with George Kavassilas found them as well to be empowering.

If you are impatience that is a good indicator, that you are awakening.
Please notice that lately David Icke became very positive and optimistic. So there is a change.

What were you expecting to happen on 12/21/2012? I am very wary of any predictions that attach dates to them, including those things I know for sure will eventually come to pass. As far as I know, the Mayans never predicted that something would happen on 12/21/2012. That date marked the end of a cycle, kinda like 12:00 am marks the end of a day. That's all.

What you fell prey to was kitsch, glooming onto a very esoteric kind of knowledge that became very lost in translation. This can apply to a whole host of information put out by the New Age movement, either by the design of disinformation specialists or by accident by those who lack true insight and understanding. That's not to say there may not be something to the foundation on which the New Age movement is based; it simply means that much of what is built upon that foundation is often very two-dimensional and cartoonish relative to the underlying reality.

I think what is happening, for sure, is humanity is in a liminal period right now. We are moving through a spiritual awakening. But there are also those among us (namely the power structure that in large part creates our very understanding of reality) who are doing everything in their power to thwart this movement. That's an entirely separate and multifaceted issue. In any event, this is an ongoing and gradual transition, regardless of the successes or failures of the powers that be to prevent this transition, for whatever their reasons.

Regardless, I don't think we should expect one day to wake up spontaneously into a 4-dimensional world, where all remnants of the Illuminati dissolve, where we create our own reality via thought, where each of us have fully functioning Merkabas, where we have a disclosure or learn about the true nature of reality as understood by the breakaway human civilization and alien species who share this planet with us, or whatever the prediction as you describe in the OP. That's kind of like saying, in the middle of summer, that we know the winter is coming (definitely valid information), but since a blizzard doesn't materialize on the day someone has predicted the season will end, that the the information no longer stands and we suddenly lose faith that the whole idea of this thing called "winter" is valid. It could take years, decades, generations before these developments fully bloom. Yet you will find many people talking about this reality (albeit it a two-dimensional way), making predictions and communicating their insights, because that is where we are heading. Understanding of these cycles run deep in the collective consciousness, but are ability to communicate them via the auspices of our individual consciousness runs shallow.

Fret not. If you meditate and open up to the knowledge already deep within yourself, you won't need to subscribe to any schedule of predictions to believe.

Nothing happened because nothing was supposed to happen except one thing...its purportedly the beginning of a new cycle. If we view that as the birth of a new way of thinking or living then perhaps that has started. Also, I think there are many in the world who are hoping it means the end of American Imperialism and it may be they are doing something about it. On the other hand, the truly evil, are trying to hitch a ride on this change and claim it for themselves. So there is a lot going on right now.

Everyone could fast forward everything right now if they were willing to inform themselves, stop believing lies and act on a strong sense of justice but that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

The word "apocalypse" simply means revelation. The fact that many in our culture interpreted that to mean the "end of the world" shows where our heads are at.

Whether you believe in "something" or in "nothing" is irrelevant to your personal well being and outlook on life. Expectations lead to disappointments. I prefer to be pleasantly surprised, so I stay open to all possibilities

I'm new to this site and feel compelled to put my two cents in, I'm 43 years old Ive heard the earth was going to end I bet twenty times in my life, skepticism oh yea. I don't read the paper or watch tv I have no interest in the outside world other then my immediate family I don't have anything in common with 95% of the people I meet. I get so sad at the atrocities man has bestowed on this planet. I have no religion and think those that do, need to take a deeper look within themselves and see just how special they are. The organized religion has brought the lambs to the belief that they hold the answers when they are all lies. I might seem a little shrewd but most of the things you hear anymore are only what the main media lets you see, and the words of christian's telling you to come to god and become like they are this really makes me grimace and very sad. Your apocalypse is on the way sooner then you think, A certain number of people here on earth have the vibrational frequencies to withstand the upcoming planetary shift these people are the chosen. Everyone will become sick but those that were chosen will rise to a new earth all you have to do is make it till April first 2014. the first part of this will be the reaping of all the soles that have ever been this is nearly done these sole's will not be allowed to ever come back to earth there energy will insure a new world. secondly all of mans knowledge will be stored for the cleanup of the world and man will learn to live in peace with the original teachings in the name of your creator (god or gaia to me these are the same and it is she). When it ends all those that remain are to seek Europe those that are there must await further instruction you will be able to hear the calling. you ether are or you are not its as simple as that, and those that are, you and your soles are protected. I hope these rantings are true for they have been told to me recently and I have faith that we will persevere in a new world.

I agree that the picture as presented is over simplistic (dualistic). Not sure about this other story - nuclear or any devastation on such a scale is very much off the table as far as I’m concerned
I’m just listening again to Jay Weidner’s 2010 interview with Kerry quoting the Puranas, and the 60,000 year cycle, with the end of the Kali Yuga dated to 2442, i.e. 666 years after 1776. Apparently in the 1890s the ptb freaked out on hearing that the Mayan date of 2011 might be more correct, and so they have been speeding up their operations to ‘get out of Dodge’ to Mars, just in case. According to this theory, we have over four centuries to get our act together in easier conditions, i.e. with no one but the human guardians to deal with, which sounds pretty good to me.

By the way - it is already happening. It's just in slow motion.

What is a sole? A bottom-feeding flatfish or a soul trodden underfoot?
