As Bob said it can't afford to relinquish control and we can no longer afford to let it have control. Not just on a global level. Personally this gives me an apocalyptic feeling. And no, I'm not talking about any Y2K or 12-21 ascension, but something which touches on the literal origins of the word 'apocalypse'. That is, the great revealing; uncovering the deceptions; lifting the veil.

Was the bible accurate in stating that there will be a final battle between good and evil? If so, it seems that recognizing the enemy and bringing it into the light would serve as the initial phase of such a prophesy. I don't know how prepared I actually am for such a thing, and I might even find myself terrified when push does at last come to shove, but for now I find the prospect to be truly thrilling. Of course, trying to be realistic and not feed any self-aggrandizing fantasy. After all, I know that I would surely be only a small part of this larger process.

From what I understand, 'their' mind (as it's been termed) was modeled after our mind, or at the very least, it exists as a shadow of our mind. If the internet was constructed in a similar fashion, was this intentional or merely a result of its function as a storehouse for information, and a means of 'axial connections' made between each of us in our communication and sharing ideas? Is the reason that we see it exemplified here because the internet is an extension of it, or because this is a neutral ground of sorts where the struggle can take place on a new level and scale?

Funny thing, FreedFox...I was at the library a few weeks ago and saw a book on a table...Someone left it there, for the librarian to pick up and store it in the appropriate shelf.

Well, I was never a big fan of the author, and the book was pretty thick, about 1300 pages.

Somehow, I decided to pick the book and read it. Nice book, after all.

The name of the book was "The Stand", by Stephen King, and it was exactly about it.

A big fight between Good and Evil.

Speaking of AIs and such, there is the idea of the "saturn machine" that can be added to the mix. I'll post this here, because I think this thread is drilling down to what the heck is going on.

My take is: They've got some new toy that they are beta testing, and it has something to do with manipulating brain waves and consciousness, on a level we've never experienced before. The internet is involved, I agree. This new toy feels fully and totally integrated to me, both in the digital sphere, but also the physical and astral.

You guys are spot on.

Back in 1994-5 when I met my present husband on the Internet (AOL), I was quite new to online interactions as were most people. Many of us on AOL who were engaging in live chatting began to have very strong experiences, like telepathically connecting with others and I had an experience where I actually merged with the Source WHILE I was on the phone with a friend who called that I knew from AOL who had also been experiencing these intense phenomena. I knew at least 20-30 people who were realizing the power of connecting through the Internet. It seemed to activate some natural abilities that we all have and that are usually tapped into through meditation. But this was from focusing so strongly while chatting that we went into the altered space while on the Internet.

Then it became more interesting. I was contacted by someone who had apparently been watching what was going on. He began to tell me of a group that he was forming, basically for the government or some secret part of the government. They had noticed that many of us were having psychic and "spiritual" experiences via the Internet and they wanted to study it, study us and have a few of us participate in their project. I spoke with him and his wife several times and was somewhat interested. It was just beginning to get a bit strange when I met my future husband/soul-mate on AOL and my attention was spent mostly on planning to meet him.

It got more strange and interesting when this man asked me if I had any huge moral objections to targeted assassinations which could influence world history. I know they checked me out thoroughly because he was aware of my past of working for the DEA in Mexico/South America and my 7 years meditating and following a guru! He also indicated that we would be learning to influence others with our minds, powers, etc. As far as my answer to that question, which someone may wonder about (or not) I do not have any moral objections to targeted assassinations but I doubt I could trust anyone who would make the decision on who was to be eliminated. Besides, I think people like Hitler were marvelous catalysts for change and ultimate beneficial evolution, although they were monsters. So when do we interfere with the natural order of things? I guess whenever we choose to and then it's either good or bad or both and so what.

Well, I was beginning to have second thoughts about getting involved in this project, although it intrigued me, when my husband came to meet me. We immediately fell in love and got married 3 weeks later. In the first week he was there I got a call from this man. I had already told Mikal (my husband) about him and he took a dim view of it since he was from a special ops background for many years. He said "give me the phone". I gave it to him and he talked with this man. When he was finished they never contacted me again. He scared the crap out of him basically, but he's like that. LOL

Could it be that certain people/the government/black ops/ET's, whatever... knew, even back then, that the Internet can be a huge tool of evolution that is dangerous to their agendas of control... and not just because of the information it allows us to acquire more easily. Along with any advanced technologies they may have that can disrupt or influence people mentally perhaps they also have people, like I might have become if I had accepted the offer to join this project. These people may be deliberately influencing and manipulating others through the Internet with their minds.....for their employers/masters. Their minds may even be enhanced with some advanced technology.

So perhaps it isn't only entities or technology that is aligned against us on the Internet, it may also be psychics in the employ of someone who does not have our best interests in mind. I don't rule out anything completely while still not getting stuck in any one belief. That leaves room for anything. Anything is possible and the game is multi-level and complex. We just need to become wise players if we choose to participate actively in the game.

Hey Raf, I detect a couple of problems with what you say here. Are you using the word omniscient in the proper meaning of the word, i.e. all-knowing? If so, no data collecting is necessary. If not, it is a mistake in my view to ascribe omniscience to something that is not omniscient since this amounts to papering over, instead of exploiting, its fatal hidden weakness.

Secondly, to manipulate the minds of your data collectors would merely result in deceiving yourself. If you take your temperature with a thermometer you yourself have tampered with, don't expect to get a correct reading.

Whatever it is I'm looking at, what's being discussed here seems fundamental to me.

Logic and intuition appear to be present in equal measure in this space. Many good threads are often heavy in one or the other. This seems balanced.

I have a question about the role of meditation in freeing oneself from the recursive madness of 'Their Mind'. Rahkyt had mentioned his cigarette meditation when he first noticed Their Mind at work.

That triggered curiosity on my part.

Many of our Buddhist members have shared insights on meditation elsewhere. But I'm wondering about meditation as a tool for freeing oneself of Their Mind.

I'm wondering what role meditation can play specifically with respect to getting beyond Their Mind.

I have a notion that meditation would be an excellent tool for the job. So, if anyone has any insights to share, and/or any practical information on the 'practice of meditation' as tailored for this purpose, please share it.

I'm hoping it will not only be helpful for me, but for others as well.

Curtis, I don't have any practical tips in regard to meditation, as I haven't specifically used it toward that end. But this thread and the concept of 'their' mind have helped to provide me with a great deal of context and perspective on the events of the past three years of my life.

I cursed the suffering as I felt it, and I would have scoffed at the idea that any of it had a purpose. I realize now that it was, in part, overcoming this parasitical influence gripping my life, driving me to become something that I'm not. I realize now that I'm thankful for the opportunity it provided me.

That was the simplest technique, which was still surprisingly effective; I asked myself, in the moment, "is this me?" "Is this who I am?" It allows one to step back from the intensity of those emotions and assess them.

I agree about the balance. This is not a cold intellectual thread. It clearly demonstrates what balance between the Eb and Mb (Emotional and Mental subtle bodies) can produce.
