    Quote from Ingo Swann:
(found on this site: http://www.1paradigm.org/ethics.html )

"In November, 1972, I was invited to Washington for a sort of covert meeting. During that meeting a top analyst of a familiar intelligence agency in our nation's capital TOLD me (I paraphrase): You know, no significant advance in Psi will ever be permitted by those who govern -- because it MIGHT upset or alter all power structures on Earth. Even if you and your colleagues at Stanford Research Institute succeed, even in part, ways and means behind the popular and open scenes will ultimately follow to erase and discredit the work. I clearly remember being stuck speechless, not only by the shocking statement, but because of my own abysmal ignorance in not recognizing what was immediately made SO OBVIOUS. I immediately grokked the entire reason behind the "Resistance to Psi," along with all of its ramifications." -- Ingo Swann

"Hi Folks... I just received word our friend, Ingo Swann has died. He was a good friend, and really was fond of Kathy. When she would answer the phone he would say, "Hi Kathy, it's Ingo Bingo!" The photo with this post is one he insisted I take and send Kathy since she had missed sharing a glass of wine with he and I.

Ingo Swann was a remarkable person who saw extraordinary places remotely, and knew things he was forbidden to discuss. We are saddened by his passing and shall miss him deeply. Thanks to those of you who let me know."

    RIP Ingo, happy traveling.

For some years now it had been one of my deepest wishes to one day be given the chance to meet with Ingo Swann, and if it were only for the briefest of moments, and share a conversation. I have never been fortunate enough to be granted this privilege and regardless of the fact that I have only known and admired him through the books I read, the videos I saw and listening to the people who knew him talk about him I am deeply saddened by his sudden departure and will miss him greatly! The world has lost one of it's greatest today.

SO sad........how did he die? RIP Ingo
I got this e-mail from a close friend, who was part of the SRI program back in the 70s and who knew him personally for many years.

    Dear Friends,

I just got this sad news! I "had a feeling" and called Ingo last month. As
many of you know, Ingo and I worked and played together back in the 1970s.
I was delighted he actually answered the phone instead of getting the usual
    voicemail.

Ingo was proud that he was going to be 80 this year but physically he said
he was not doing well. He had fallen last year and had a steel rod in his leg.
He said he was still in a lot of pain. I told him I would send some healing
vibes. Ingo then asked me to please stay in communication. I promised
I would... and I will even now.

See you up the line, dear friend. Enjoy your next adventures and discoveries.

The first time I heard him speak , it gave me more hope for a better world, I knew if he could do it , others would one day learn to remote view also... He was proof that our potential is only limited by our own lack of knowledge and understanding... He was a gentle spirited man ... he will be missed...

Ingo was one of the people who changed our world. He contacted Hal Puthoff back in the early 70s to propose a definitive scientific study of psychic abilities (at the time they were both scientologists, for whom psychic events are an everyday occurrence) -- and largely because of this initiative, the entire concept of Remote Viewing was made respectable and the term has become almost mainstream.

How much of his work still remains undiscovered? I often wonder what are the next stages undertaken which are beyond "Remote Viewing"?

I have it in writing from Dr Christopher 'Kit' Green -- close friend of Hal Puthoff to this day -- that in order to keep up with the Russians (who were always way ahead in this field), the entire Remote Viewing project that Ed Dames, Joe McMoneagle, et al were working in went 'black', using drugs, electronics and hypnosis to enhance the psychics' natural abilities.

Dames and his team were relieved of their duties, and were never officially informed of what had happened. Kerry and I learned from Dr Pete Peterson that at that time there was a huge push towards developing Remote Influencing... not just Remote Viewing.

There were 3 main psi research centers (SRI included) focusing on RV at that time in the USA. They were prepared to use the SRI program as a decoy or sacrifice it if need be, but keep the other two hidden at all costs. The other two involved what Bill describes above. Richard Allan Miller spoke a little about 3 three locations. One of them had Puharich involved. Future generations will be horrified to see the terrible things that took place (children included) in the interests of "research".

... some words come to mind:

"What doth the Lord require of thee
    But to do justly
    And to love mercy
And to walk humbly with thy GOD"
