Sad really. I missed this on Facebook but glad to see Bill is on to it aye Bill? ! I can't believe some people and the lengths they go to. Such fools but anyway they do really only push more people towards seeing the other side of this story. Helps with the waking up so to speak. This is not me, these are not my words, and this is not my page. I've never seen it before, and have never posted on it.

I do not use Facebook. I have no access to this account, and cannot edit it. It's an impersonation.

Those of you who are savvy Facebook users, please do what you can to get this account closed down. In addition, if you are willing, please post on it, prior to it being closed, to make this very clear that it's not my account. The words about Kerry shown above are not mine: I would never write anything like that.

You can as I just did , went on to this site and reported it as spam. There is also another option thats about intellectual property but think this might be for Bill personally. How ever enough spam reports might get it knocked off. I won't hold my breath on this after all facebook and CIA have a thingy going but never know. Give it a bash folks.

I just added another report. Dennis, on the report options I think "it's a spam or a scam" hits the nail on the head.

That page is a bloody mess now... it's done whether facebook deletes it or not.

Hello, Everyone --

My sincerest thanks to all of you who jumped in to help here so promptly. Please don't stop.

I have almost no available time right this moment, and won't be able to look closely at this till the end of the day (it's early morning here). I believe that one of the pages asked about (http://facebook.com/groups/projectavalon) is legitimate and is a sort of fan group, managed by an Avalon member with my knowledge and consent (although I do not visit there or contribute -- which I probably should!). I'll be able to take a good look this evening.

Facebook has not yet contacted me in any way. But I'm fairly optimistic that some action will be taken. As was pointed out, the page is probably now a bit of a mess. And I'm glad that Tommy/seeingterra and Kerry know that this is not me.

Some of the comments on this thread made me laugh. Yes, this is so not my style! (And yes, I can spell and form my sentences quite well. )

Thanks once more. Please don't stop adding your shoulder to this wheel, if it's easy for you to add comments or continue to report the impersonation. (I tried myself, but it was not clear how best to do so. If the Facebook admin contacts me by e-mail, I can then expound.)

The page links to the real PA; The donations are linked to your donation page; 99% of the publications seems legit and lots of them are linked to real PA threads.

The only really bad publication is that one slamming Kerry, which is something I know you wouldn´t do. Anyway, it just doesn´t fit the pattern of the other publications on the same page; It seems that it was published deliberately to attract your attention.

So, I really wonder what´s the purpose of that page...

I am disgusted with facebook, I have deleted my account, pretty sad this has happened to you, the only thing positive to take from it is your site is annoying them, the powers at be send a troll in to copy your site info and then posted it, makes me want to swear! 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 aah that's better just can't lower myself to their level.

I will be astounded if In-Yer-Face-Book admins contact you, Bill. At best, an automatically generated "form-letter" email.

I have heard of them taking notice when they receive notice from an attorney. I see two counts of defamation of character, (and maybe some definition of identity theft): Bill, with the page bearing his name and made to look as if he is the page admin, plus the defamation to Bill's reputation for those who would believe he would "muckrake" Kerry. And, Kerry certainly has grounds for a defamation lawsuit due to the reputation-damaging lies told about her.

It is not easy to even find out where to send a letter to Fazebook personnel. Almost everything (or maybe everything) is handled by automated messages regurgitated when you select some radio button on a form. With the multibillion dollar empire running on (reportedly) 60,000 dedicated physical servers, the direct tie-in to the NSA and CIA, DHS, FBI, and probably any other alphabet agency that wants to view anything, Fakebook could care less about Bill Ryan or Kerry Cassidy. In my opinion, the only way they would actually find the perpetrator is if some agent of the US government wants to, or if a lawsuit is threatened by a credible attorney. They might take down the page if there are enough complaints, but unless caught, the guy just starts up 2 new ones next week.

Think of Fadebook as a bulletin board in a laundromat, in a questionable section of town, next to a stripper bar and a cat groomer/butcher shop. You have no control over your data (even deleted data is saved), you know it is constantly data-mined by agents of the US Gestapo, so whatever you actually do say, you had better say it knowing it can and will be used against you in a court of (pseudo)-law. And, whatever you didn't say may be very difficult to stop, as the miscreants identities are well-insulated from the general public (without a badge.)

(Besides picking up on world news - real news - from some friends scouring alt-news sources, I use Failbook just the same as using an overturned fruit crate in a busy marketplace: as a temporary pulpit/soapbox. Also good for practising delivering the same message, honing-down and clarifying the message.)

Seriously though...I thought about that too, but then subsequently thought that most members here are savvy enough to realize that at the time. Folks that just fell off the pumpkin truck don't generally wind up at a place like Avalon. Better safe than sorry though if that's a concern, tru nuff.

I think you nailed it Raf... to make the "Kerry slam" as legitimate as possible, make the rest of the site appear totally legitimate and well intended.

So that tells me the desire is to further split two of this community's most important individuals - the age old divide and conquer. If we think about it... whoever is behind this is showing their concern about what Bill and Kerry (and other legitimate truth warriors) are accomplishing.

Would this help unless you are associated with those sites? Maybe somewhere on Avalon have a permanent post that says, "Project Avalon & Bill Ryan are not affiliated with Facebook or Twitter."
