Interesting Minds Suggestions Please

Hello, I hope this doesn't sound superficial or trite. I have come to a kind of blank when it comes to amazing enlighten human beings. (as in my mind has drawn a blank). Obviously there are an endless amount of amazing human beings out there but it never hurts to hurl out a fishing rod and see what you catch. I have devoured all the info from people like Bashar, Ammach, Afterlife Tv which I have found recently, watched every single interview. Dolores Cannon, Law of One, Robert Anton Wilson, etc etc.

Judging from the people/ideas I have listed........do you have any to add, amazing human beings doing their thing, people who have just popped up on you radar?

I don't know if he will fit your tastes or perspective, but I have a great appreciation for the wisdom of the late Terrence McKenna. You might not fully appreciate his views if you have never tried psychedelics, though.

Another great mind (and more 'conventional' than McKenna) is Graham Hancock. Again, just my opinion. Whether or not you agree with his ideas and/or conclusions, you have to appreciate his intellect and heart.

Sister, you've 'asked',...but I don't currently find a place on your list for the 'suggestion' that I would make. I don't know if my 'suggestion' would be your particular 'cup of tea' from which you would care to 'sip' from,.....but 'if' it is, in your quest for enlightenment,....give me the 'go ahead' and I will then add my suggestion, for I have no desire, ( or intentions), of offending you by prematurely presenting something to you that you didn't want in the first place.

Watch out for a common trap that we tend to fall into. We can read about enlightenment and discuss until the sun goes down, but that won;t get us there. We must engage it. Find a practice and explore it. Be careful not to over-intellectualize enlightenment. That being said, some personal favorites are Pema Chodron, Thic Nat Han, Robert Thurman, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Most of the authors I read are Buddhist, which is perhaps the most intellectual of traditions ironically. There are many great teachers publishing in magazines such as Tricycle and Shambhala Sun.
