Default Revolutionary Movements and How to Start One

In this presentation Wai H. Tsang examines what it is that we're actually doing in our lives and explains what is the underlying process behind all our behaviour. This talk will build on and complement a previous talk '2012 and the Fractal Brain Theory', but will also be standalone; essential points from the previous presentation will be recapped. Whereas the last talk dealt more with the neural structures of the brain, this talk will deal more with process and purpose. Also whereas the last talk was more about the substrates of mind, this one will cover the psychological, introspective, cognitive and behavioural aspects.
Later in the presentation Wai will do something very ambitious and show a complete correspondence between the process of our lives and the overall process of the entire Universe, thereby confirming in the latest 21st century scientific concepts the timeless idea that, 'As is the Microcosm so is the Macrocosm' and the notion that somehow we all made in the Image of God, enacting in our lives the divine process. Interestingly he will explore, using the Fractal Brain Theory, how it is and why it is that people experience certain special subjective states of being 'one with the Universe', 'one with God', 'infinite consciousness', etc. Thereby reaffirming ancient methods and techniques.
He will also discuss some of the wider future implications of the fractal brain theory.
This talk will be highly relevant to anyone interested in Psychology, Neuroscience, Self Development, Artificial Intelligence, Philosophy, Law of Attraction, Prophecy; also Cosmology and Esoteric Religion i.e. Tantra, Mystical Yoga, Kabbalah, Sufism, Gnosticism, Vajrayana Buddhism and Taoism.

Revolutionary Movements and How to Start One by Wai H. Tsang

In this 1 1/2 hour talk Wai discusses esoteric religion, apocalypticism and revolutionary movements. He says most social scientists and political philosphers have completely ignored the fact that some of the most powerful international revolutionary movements of the past 500-1000 years have been grounded in apacalyptic ideology and esoteric religion (which he defines as the God within).

Wai aims to show us how we can revive the apocalypse archetype and esoteric religion to start a 21st century world revolution. (check out the video at 00:45 - he delivers this very provocative statement with a a mischevious chuckle and an engaging smile).

    Let's Look at revolution!

He begins with an overview of revolution and why revolution is needed at this point in history.

    1. Political and corporate corruption. (corrupt banks and corporations own the governments and the 1% wield all the power leading to political domination and one world tyranny)
    2. World is walking into a global catastrophe. (energy, water and food crisis, etc)
    3. Traditional causes of revolution are now playing out on a global scale: social injustice, food shortages, demographics, lack of employment and underemployment. He says the youth demographic will have an inevitable effect over the next few years.

To sum up this part of wai's talk: the current global situation is very grim, and these dark conditions provide "perfect storm" conditions for revolution. To those people who suggest we can work within the current system and make slow incremental positive improvements, Wai says that this type of evolutionary change is not going to work because the current powers that be (corporate controlled goverment, military industrial complex, etc) are actively blocking evolutionary change. Any improvements will impact the profits of big business so evolutionary changes are aggressively resisted and blocked.

Wai says we have no effective political movements, either left or right wing, to effectively oppose the current corrupt powers (corrupt banks and corrupt corporate controlled gov't). Wai says organizations (NGOs, etc) can protest but they do not have the ability to scale up enough to actually challenge the corrupt powers that are driving our world into ruin. He says they will never progress into a full scale revolutionary movement.

Wai says that the powers that are destroying us (corrupt big finance, corrupt corporate gov't, corrupt military industrial complex, etc.) are very well organized, well disciplined and well funded.

Wai asks: how do we effectively take on the powers that be? He says there is a long way to go because there is a big leap between the protest which is happening now and the revolution which needs to happen. http://youtu.be/AJAx1XLmTN0?t=9m12s

Wai says it is extremely difficult and challenging to start a revolutionary movement. He says we can learn from looking at successful revolutions from history, especially those revolutionary movements that faced "disciplined, strong and vital and well funded opposition".

    http://youtu.be/AJAx1XLmTN0?t=12m16s
There are two factors which have given these successful revolutionary movements their power and strength. These are:
    1. The apocalypse archetype
    2. Esoteric religion.

According to Wai, there are two factors which have given these successful revolutionary movements their power and strength. These are:
    1. The apocalypse archetype
    2. Esoteric religion.

    Apocalypse Archetype:

All the world's religions contain prophesies of a cosmic battle between light and dark. This is a basic human story. Out of the battle between good and evil comes an age of purity and light, a heaven on earth. This is the story we see in Dune, Star Wars, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings. It is a common and widespread modern myth.

    http://www.iawwai.com/ExpectedOne.gif
"This diagram is meant to show how the prophecies contained in the World's different religions, fit together like different pieces of the same jigsaw puzzle. This assumes that all the different prophecies are coming from the same source, which naturally derives from the sensible belief that all the World's religions are really worshipping the same God. And indeed all the different prophecies come together to uncannily describe the special and unprecedented conditions of the World in which we live today. "

    Esoteric religion:

Religion exists, without exception, on two levels:

    http://www.iawwai.com/CentralTruth.gif
"This diagram is meant to show that the common truth behind all world religion is the idea that everyone is God. In the outer sections of the circle we have the outer mysteries of religion. That is the rules, the rituals and regulations. In the inner part of the circle is depicted the mystical heart of each religion comprising the mystical practices and disciplines designed to bring people into union with God. Towards the centre we find God. The ultimate truth and ground of all being. Though God is given different names, the assertion here is that all the different labels are really referring to the same thing."

In this diagram the outer circle represents exoteric religion and the inner circle represents esoteric religion.

Exoteric religion are the common instituional religions we see on TV, the major world religions all around us (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc). wai says these exoteric religions are based on fastasties, fables and fairy tales, as well as senseless rules, rituals and regulations. Wai says that exoteric relgions cannot agree among themselves or work together. This is the religion of the state, the religion of power and control.

Esoteric means "hidden". Esoteric religions agrees with other, as well as science! Wai says this is where science converges with religion. The essential idea of esoteric religion is the Christ within, Buddha within, God is inside us and we are made in the image of God. The key idea in all esoteric traditons is that all is one and we are God. This is the religion of the mystics.

Throughout history there has been a mutual antagonism between exoteric and esoteric religion. The powers of state (powers that be) have always tried to destroy the esoteric groups such as the sufis, the Knights Templars, etc.
But on the other hand the esoteric religions (with the apocalypse archetype) have managed to create revolutions that have destroyed the powers of state.

Wai goes into history in depth and gives examples to whow how the formula of apocalyptic archetype plus esoteric religion has driven many of the world's successful revolutions.

In this section Wai continues to expand on the idea of esoteric religion and the apocalypse archetype, with the goal of explaining why they create the perfect conditions for revolution.

Quote Esoteric religion (aka the religion behind the religion) and why it is truly revolutionary: The idea that God is inside you, the idea that we are all one. Ultimately, in our deepest essence, we are one and the same. This esoteric idea of oneness, unity and sameness is the basis for radical egalitarianism, which is needed to start a revolution.

Renaissance humanism came from esotericism (the Corpus Hermeticum). The humanistic idea that the human being is the measure of all things is because we are made in the image of God. We humans reflect the universe. We humans reflect the transcendant. Human life is very precious. There is actually something divine about the human being.

The monarchy and religion has been used to suppress and control people. Once you understand that God is inside you, you know that the idea of priestly intercession is a load of nonsense. Inherently, esoteric religion (God is in each of us) is revolutionary and opposed to the current power structure. The mystical experience of "being God" frees people from fear. Fear is one of the main tools used to control people.

Wai says that we are all on different places on the "schizotypal" spectrum. He says the most intelligent, excellent and creative high achievers often have close relatives who have schizophrenia. He says schizotypal people are extremely interested in philosphy, religion and ideas. History has been pushed forward by the inspired, the charismatic, the visionaries. These people, who are ususally schizotypals according to Wai, have an affinity for esoteric religion. Wai says you need a certain type of person to kickstart a revolution and these people are
    often schizotypal.

I am not sure about Wai's schizotypal comments. This is the Wikipedia entry on Schizotypal personality disorder. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schizot...ality_disorder I disagree that everyone has this disorder but apart from that the connections between schizotypal disorder and esotericism are certainly interesting.

Wai then moves on to consider why the apocalypse archetype causes revolutionary movements to be so successful. He applies the training paradigms from behavioral psychology to train or condition people to get involved in revolutionary movements.
    - escape training - reinforcement to escape discomfort
    - punishment training - you stop doing something to avoid punishment.
    - enjoyment training - you keep doing things you enjoy.
    - reward training - you want to do something again and again if you are rewarded.

wai says that the behavior of human beings are conditioned by ideas. Wai says all the behavioral conditioning paradigms are embedded in the storyline of the apocalyspe archetype. Wai says the behavioral buttons of absolute pleasure, absolute doom and absolute reward are being triggered by the apocalypse archetype. This storyline creates a powerful narrative that pushes people's buttons. These ideas condition people toward revolutionary behavior.

These narratives create a fervor, a cast iron certainty and a confidence that the revolutionaries can be victorious.
The 'rebellion' of the Mind, having the Mind run the show, is the Luciferian rebellion of wanting to leave Love-Christ-Heart behind and create a universe without the 'pesky feeling of the heart' holding it back

Yes, that is my fervent hope and intention ThresholdRising!
Thanks for posting the video. I have not quite completed my commentary on this material. I think that what he presents is extremely significant. On the other hand, that is not to say I don't have issues with some of the stuff he says.

I agree. He has done his research well and shows significant factors that contribute to showing why some revolutions work and others don't.
