    Australian Related Site: http://truth-now.net/

Truth-now.net started in Jun 2012 as a way to share information about corporate "government" and banking. The website is divided into three sections now. The first comprises material which challenged the system. It was not a happy time. Coming soon is information about the transformation I went through as well as where I see the future.

Bill, what a wonderful idea !
( I have the last few days been considering the same suggestion to UKColumn.org , to facilitate avoidance of fruitless searches, or to maximise efficiency of effort...)

Tentative suggestion ? a brief descriptor in brackets behind some sites , where the name does not convey the gist ?....

eg:" Standyeo " means nothing to me, whereas Natural News, might not convey to others, Mike Adams' work to expose the poisoning of our foods, and promoting Healthy lifestyles ?

Otherwise, it's a really great innovation, sort of like having the world library condensed to specific needs :-))

[ off-topic, my initial high views of Inelia, have diminished, ( think she has lost focus ? ),
but have you thoughts about Eva Zemenova , THERE, I think, is enhanced memory ! ]

BTW, introducing us to " Spirit ", The Leopard, was a very humanitarian gesture, we all need this boost, from time to time ...

I would like to ask if anyone would help in compiling a list to help me and possibly others to more quickly and accurately identify the more reliable news/sites vs flat out hoax channels ?

I just read some great tips on Bill's post for searching google and found that very useful.

Someone, I think Runningdeer, posted a bunch of UFO [HOAX] ones not long ago, however all good and bad welcomed here. I and many of my waking friends find our time better spent on the appropriate data. A simple word doc with the good, bad and ugly would be useful and save others time as well while being more accurate.

Pay close attention to sites where you have extreme ads, those are the sites to stay away from, no matter what the content claims. Lately there have been lots of posts from here going to those kinds of sites.

Also stay away from any government/authority related sites.

Most credible are the in person interviews without lots of ads, by an interviewer that asks the right questions.

    Some good channels:

    - Sirius Disclosure Channel
    - Rich Planet Tv
    - The Richie Allen Show
    - Bussaw
    - Dahboo777
    - Project Camelot
    - Dr Joeseph P Farrell

Most if not all of these I am sure contains stuff that is not true, but I find a clear truth seeking intent behind these sources.

That sounds like a no-brainer that I should have thought of Whitelove and thank you.

RT news seems to be more reliable than MSM.

Likely I won't achieve anything full proof Enola but it's a start at getting better and more reliable. Area 51 on YouTube to me is a no no but Suspicious Observers seems like a yes yes

I am not speaking of alleged channelers, but news or other channels Like "Veterans Today" for instance .

Have not researched MSM, RT is not in the bottom, CNN recently did the story of UN ruling of arbitrary detainment of Julian Assange, with essential details included.

But overall, look for what's missing. If you read about some event with potential truth seeking news contained in it, look for what is missing. Many news magazines leave essential details unmentioned and sometimes these articles are written to redirect the attention, popular is that they are written with an odd twist to them, for instance something dramatic about someone having said something remarkable relating to the story which often is very unsignificant in many cases compared to stuff relating to the story. Those are the ones to stay away from because they always seek to mislead.

Channels with good truth seeking content are also not incredibly destructive and negative. They are often very humble, you see a humble interviewer on Buzzaw.

The Bashar channeling is a source I am researching. This source I have concluded is very intelligent, what I am mainly researching is the kind of polarity behind this source of information, with polarity I mean how truthful it is - is it a clean source or a source of deception, that's mainly what I'm looking into, but at this point my current understanding is that its polarity is somewhat on the positive side. The degree of intelligence in this source indicates that there is something more than a human behind this.

Also look for discontinued or extremely expensive books on Amazon...

This is a useful idea, however, it is also good to know why sites are unreliable and develop the skills to ferret out B.S. As soon as a comprehensive list is complied it is out of date because there will always be new sites, and the old hoax sites will just change their name, format and look to fool you.

So, instead of a list, here are a few ideas I use to figure out where is the info coming from:

    1) Look at the actual URL. It might say "ABC News" and look something like the logo, but if the URL is "abcnews.com.co" it might not be the source you think it is. If it is indeed "abcnews.com" then just made the usual considerations that this is corporate mainstream media and what usual biases they have.

    2) If you are not familiar with the news source, look at the other stories on the website and decide who the usual readership of this news source is. Are they people in a certain locale, a city in India or a county in California (which would make it more authentic)? Is it more partisan news meant for a conservative or liberal readership(less likely to be accurate)? Has this news source been in existence for a while or did it just start last week to create click and generate advertising revenue by creating sensational stories? Are the other stories on the site real news or is it just sensational stuff?

    3) When you read the story, ask how the author got their information. Did they do first hand interviews? Did they get information from other sources? Are those sources mentioned or linked? You might want to check those sources to see how well they are established - perhaps the info came from the blog of someone who hallucinated or imagined the story, possibly because of their ideological agenda.

    4) Does this story fulfill your highest hope or your deepest nightmare? Did it really do a good job of creating an emotional reaction in your and suspending your critical judgement? Perhaps that was the authors intention, and not to tell you some actual, factual truth.

I consider myself a pretty good judge of what is fake and what is real, BUT, I got fooled today and put a fake story on Avalon today. I figured out two minutes later that it was fake and asked the mods to take it down, but here it is, and using my four rules, perhaps you can figure out why this is fake:
The United States Revokes Scientology’s Tax-Exempt Status

If anyone has more tips our ferreting out BS Internet sites, please feel free to add to my list.

    Maybe you do!

Click norman's link above, and you'll see that the source is this post:
A little reading there tells you the list (which is a screenshot) comes from http://PropOrNot.com. Norman had copied it over (with two degrees of separation) from there.

    It's not my list.
In my extremely strong personal opinion, Veterans Today is not to be trusted — and is now a propaganda site for an anti-Freedom Movement agenda.

    I said something dumb

I shall replace it with this: Can we round up the credible links posted to have added to Bill's list in the original post? This isn't for my sake, but I thought that it would be easier for the public to just look at the list at the beginning. Or is this what is being done and sites like WesPenre.com just didn't make the cut?

    I have bookmarked the thread.
