This is called pareidolia.

"Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant, a form of apophenia. Common examples include seeing images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon or the Moon rabbit, and hearing hidden messages on records when played in reverse."

Sure, from that angle and light conditions, it looks like a rat, but don´t ignore that its texture and visual properties are still identical do the surrounding rocks.

There´s also that infamous mars lizard

With the advent of the invention 'pareidolia' was complicated find out if there mouse, lizard, cockroach or any other type of aninal than an elephant.
So the question now is 'can or not can smoke marijuana on Mars?'.

Does he identifies with being pareidolia? I have my doubts.Maybe after smoking a joint.

I'm sure they doctor photographs, they did it on the moon landings, with the same background for different locations and missions. How many pictures of Mars have been taken showing UFOs for example which have been tampered with?
