Just no surprise ( to me ) in the verdict.

I also believe any ( if any ) uprising will be met with a massive show of ( police state ) brute force. Marshal law won't be necessary. Not this time.

But I wouldn't put money on it.

It's based on the prosecution overcoming the burden of "beyond a reasonable doubt"

I think this is a good opportunity for putting "sending out love and harmony" into practice. It does make a change. I don't want any riots over this, regardless of whether or not the verdict was just.

I think were going to be in for a ride tonight & tomorrow. Emotions

are so high and like Bill stated earlier it's Saturday night.

Mix a little alcohol in the equation and boom. My neighborhood is only

about 20% Black so I don't anticipate any real problems

but if I lived in a city I would have reservations.

It's my opinion that for this man to walk free is an injustice. If only the black population gets angry about it, then that is surely better than no one getting angry.

Man oh man am I embarrassed by the criminal justice system of my home state of Florida. From Debra Lafave, to Casey Anthony, to George Zimmerman. Seriously, Florida, what does it take get a guilty verdict?

I was speaking to a Major in the Baltimore Police Dept. today, who is vacationing at my friend's home here in New Jersey, and he told me that the City of Baltimore has spent a fortune preparing for rioting in that city. They have been preparing for weeks in anticipation of a possible acquittal verdict for George Zimmerman. I really hope that cooler heads prevail and provocateurs on both sides are not able to stir up violence .

From reviewing the evidence in the case it seems clear to me that justice was served, that it was obviously self defense.

What evidence makes you believe the verdict to be an injustice?

For him to walk free is an injustice - he ought to be guilty of, and sentenced for, at least something, if not murder or manslaughter.

When an innocent person is stalked and confronted by a guy with a gun, and a confrontation ensues that results in the man with the gun killing the innocent person, then the killer is guilty at least of some kind of reckless endangerment.
